the worship is above average and preaching is outstanding. I wish it wasn't a forty minute drive from my house. Whenver visiting in the area, I always stop by thursday church and/or their store. read more

Thursday Church is a casual Coffee House atmosphere with a "Rock & Roll" sound where relationships with Christ and others take precedence over "religion". If you aren't a Sunday Morning person - then Thursday evening is a great alternative!

History

Established in 2008.

Thursday Church started in 2008 in the Fellowship Hall of First Church of God. We quickly out grew that space and had to find a place of our own. We bought and renovated 218 Main St. where we currently reside. We continued to grow and had to add a second service on Sunday mornings. Our current weekly attendance is over 400 per week.

Pastor Debbie Salters is the senior pastor at Thursday Church. God birthed a vision in Debbie to start Thursday Church. Following God's lead, she and 12 other leaders starting Thursday Church in 2008. Pastor Debbie Salters continues to lead Thursday Church. Thursday Church now has 3 businesses also.

I wound up going to weekend mass elsewhere, since they didn't have masses on the weekend, but did manage to pop in for a visit. It certainly has a strong historical feel to it and a gorgeous interior. Red Skelton's religious mentor, Fr Doll, said masses here, so it's also an interesting connection to Skelton, as well.

Pastor Debbie Salters is an excellent Pastor and the church is loving to anyone who walks through the doors. I love the music and the lessons that Pastor Debbie gives each service. The children's ministry is a loving place for children to have fun and learn about the Lord. The Wednesday soup kitchen provides a place to serve others and also a place to find a hot delicious meal and to know that God loves you and people care. The youth group is an exciting place for teens to learn about the Lord and to have fun and learn to serve. read more

Thursday Church is a very welcoming church. They welcome people to come as they are no matter where in life they may be. Doesn't matter what you wear, what you look like, who you are, or what your past is. Pastor Debbie Salters is the lead Pastor and always brings an applicable sermon that is energetic, challenging, and based on God's Word. read more

We are a small tribe and you may not be able to hide in the shadows (your presence may actually create one!) but we all truly care about the eternal destination of each person in our spiritual family.
