I have a two part review from my visit to the restaurant yesterday. The overall ambiance: very cute restaurant with hipster vibes. None of the furniture really matches and it's very unique and quirky. Loved that aspect. The music, although not very important most times, was a huge miss in this place. Covers of pop songs, to include Oops I did it again by Britney Spears, was very odd during Saturday brunch. Comical to my roommate and me honestly. Maybe changing the playlist would do the trick. The food: the menu was small, but that was to be somewhat expected at such a small business and I really didn't mind that. The food was tasty! I had the hassleback potato. However, I did find what looked like an inch long fiber from clothing in the cheese sauce on top and just a few minutes later, my roommate pulled a very long, dark hair from between the gravy and the ham on her plate. Needless to say, the meal was over then. I think this restaurant has great potential, given that the sanitation and cleanliness improves. read more

A hidden gem, amazing food and service! We got the curry chicken wrap and the Ruben quesadilla both were delicious! Our waitress checked on us multiple times and was very friendly. She refilled our drinks before they were empty, and they had cute eco friendly paper straws. They had multiple dessert options, even some gluten free ones! We got the carrot cake, it was amazing. So many reasons to love this place. The owner, Leslie, is an active part of her team and engages on a personal level with the customers. The atmosphere is calm, friendly and professional. This place is always spotless and its a very sizable space so even on a crowded day, you're not on top of the table next to you. Service is always spot on, even if they are short handed. It's not really easy to find your first time but it's actually really convenient to get to. I recently moved back to the Sandhills and my neighbor brought me here after a brisk hike at the Reservoir. The food, service and chill atmosphere couldn't have been better. I had the roasted cauliflower soup special, the Mexican crust less quiche with a nice side salad, featuring homemade salad dressing and my neighbor had the curried chicken salad wrap with salad. Great homemade ice tea as well. Had my husband and I not been on a low carb diet I would have brought him home a couple of their yummy desserts. They also apparently do fantastic catering and are very Covid carefully. Support a great brunch/lunch place owned locally! read more

It was a little hard to find and is tucked behind a gas station but you walk in and the decor is super cute and they're playing nice music and you just feel like you're coming into a lovely restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward with a few unique twists that are delicious. The curried chicken sandwich is delicious and would probably be great served on a salad instead of on bread. The BLT salad was probably not quite enough to eat for me but it was delicious. Super friendly service and the dessert case looks amazing! We definitely will be back. read more

So delicious!! Popped in here for lunch the other day, very glad that I did! The menu had lots of fresh options, and looking at everyone's plates around me made it very hard to choose! I had the deviled egg salad sandwich, a side of pasta salad and an apricot pastry for dessert. Really hit the spot without feeling over stuffed. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We stopped in for lunch-to-go on the way to visit my dad. I was looking for a healthy option. I ordered the Kale Salad with a side of hummus. The Kale salad was wonderful-a nice blend of Kale, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, seeds and nuts with a slightly sweet dressing on the side. The hummus was perfect. The owner, Leslie, introduced herself and gave me all sorts of great info about her restaurant as well as a locally sourced line of frozen meals sold at the restaurant. I purchased a frozen enchilada meal for my dad to try. We will be back next time we are in town. read more

Thyme and Place is kinda hidden from view but is located next to a bridge club. Don't be discouraged by a full parking lot, the folks playing bridge next door are responsible for the vast majority of the cars in the parking lot. Service is excellent. I had been trying to find the time to go to Thyme and Place for some time and so was really looking forward to taking my mother there. I can understand that sometimes stuff happens, and was willing to take the high road regarding the fact that we waited a full hour for our meal. However, when I asked to chat with the owner and she never bothered to come over and talk, that was the end. How very rude! I would have gone back despite the delay. I will NEVER give them my business now, because of the lack of courtesy of the owner. What a shame. read more

I was skeptical because they didn't have bacon and eggs, etc. I ordered the Mexican quiche and a croissant. My husband got another quiche (Lenore I believe), the ham biscuits and the hash browns. Everything was delicious!!!! So glad we tried it. Got a homemade pumpkin cheesecake pop tart waiting for me in the fridge. Mostly everything is made from scratch. Excellent, genuine service. What an awesome restaurant! I tried it for the first time yesterday and was so pleased. The mushroom Caesar salad was fresh and tasty.
