    HALF WALTER'S SPICY SOUTHERN CLUB

Food was delicious and portions were huge! Service was quick and efficient. The beef Spring rolls were unexpected and just the right amount. The sauce on the Rita's chicken sandwich was divine. My son really enjoyed his spicy club also

The food and the service here is very good, it's also reasonably priced and they give you ample portions. They have a full bar and a decent selection of beers to choose from. The decor is reminiscent of New Orleans. It is a little chilly in there, so you might need a sweater.

The eggplant dish is so good and so cheesy. I wished it came with a couple more pieces of French bread because there is so much sauce to soak up. I'd order this again in a heartbeat though. The 12 napkin beef po boy, full portion, is enough to have leftovers but me mindful of the sauce soaking into the bread. My mom loved it, but it was her first time trying a po boy. The bread pudding was divine. It's such a nostalgic dessert for me and the portion you get is enough for 2 people. The interior is such a thoughtful designed place, it certainly feels like I'm at a touristy NOLA spot which is pretty cool. I order to go but the process was smooth and the staff were friendly. I've only eaten here twice and both times I've been pleased with everything. I can't comment on the bathroom but if it's anything like the restaurant, it'll be neat and tidy.

Tibby's, I love it here but I never been here before the holidays and it's more beautiful. The staff is always amazing. The restaurant is like an art museum and I always see something I haven't seen. Today, I got the Catfish and Cheddar Grits with Red Gravy and to eat tomorrow, I got the Who-Dat Blackened Cajun Chicken dish. The catfish is cooked to perfection and the cheddar grits is so good. Who-Dat Blackened Cajun Chicken dish is very unique with the grits cake with the sauce, the chicken is tender and I love the artichokes is wonderful. FYI -- there is 2 areas where you can have a get together. The music is lively too. In the bar area, you can sit back and watch some sports games. When I'm in the area, this is my go to in Brandon.

Updated review! I came here for dinner and had a great time. The server Faith was very attentive, gave great recommendations, and was overall very nice. I ordered the Rita Chicken based on reviews and was not disappointed. It was very flavorful and good. We also had the Honey Crystal Shrimp and they were so good! The blue cheese is definitely a nice addition to it.

The decor screams New Orleans from the second you park. When you walk in you are greeted with a grand piano and the hostess. The walls are covered with NOLA decor! I usually do shrimp and grits or the catfish and grits, this time we switched it up by ordering the appetizers. I think the entrees may be their focus. If you were in between an app or an entree I recommend the entree. We ordered fried pickles, which were a bit salty but not unbearable. The spinach and artichoke dip was pretty good, maybe a 4/7. The boudin rolls and the debris spring rolls were neck and neck with both sitting at a 5/7. The honey crystal shrimp was a bit sweeter than i expected but the presentation was excellent. I would rate it a 4/7. And the Maw fries a 2/7. Love Tibby's but i will stick to the entrees. For everything we ordered it was 99 dollars even.

As someone straight outta NOLA to give this restaurant a 5 star is a big deal. The shrimp gumbo was delicious. Flavored great, just like home the catfish and grits were delicious as well and the servings are huge. The crawfish pie was just ok, I was looking for a little more flavor. The rev beans weren't back home red beans, but they were good. Maybe too much rice bc the beans didn't give me that creamy feel. But hey, I'm born and raised so I may harder to please with some stuff We had a table of 6 plus a kid and the servers were great. We had a girl that was training and she did a good job. Both were friendly with welcoming smiles. I love all the decor, everything NOLA, it was definitely a NOLA vibe along with the great music playing in the background. The restaurant was clean, along with the restroom.

Been coming to Tibbys for years and always love it. Good service, good drinks, great food and you feel a little new orleans when you go

    JAMBALAYA, CRAWFISH PIE, CHICKEN GUMBO

Space is big, gives off New Orleans vibes for sure. Our waiter, Anthony, was very accommodating and friendly. We got the jambalaya sampler and also the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits is very tasty, grits being very creamy and shrimp perfectly seasoned, the red wine gravy complimented the dish well. The jambalaya sampler was good way to taste a bit of multiple items. I've had better gumbo but it wasn't bad overall. Overall a good place with great service and if you're feeling for some Cajun style dishes.

Tibby's is one of my favorite places to go to for a good Louisiana meal. The decor definitely gives a New Orleans feel along with the music. It's a cute place if you like art bc it's always decorated in there. The staff is very nice and no matter who the bartender is, the drinks are always going to be good. I've been here plenty of time but always forget to take pics bc the food is that good that I can't wait (LOL). Everything is flavorful and the quantity of food you get is large! This is one of the few places with good po boy in the area. The only downside is that the restaurant's location is kind of ducked off and the road it's on is kind of busy, so it's easy to miss the turn into the parking lot. Other than that, it's a great place to catch up with friends and fun group dinners. Oh! And make sure you get the Hurricane, it's just as good as the ones in New Orleans!

My family and i met up at Tibbys because we wanted to listen to live music with good drinks and food. The service was spot on right when we entered the door. The service was good throughout our meal. We had fried green tomatoes and they were okay. Nothing to brag about or get again. The shrimp po boy was really good though and also the hurricane was great too. The grits were under flavored. But besides that. I would definitely come back for a good drink and vibes.

I saw this place online when I first moved to Riverview and couldn't wait to come and boy did they deliver. I went on a Thursday night there was no wait time service was quick I placed my order and right away the food was on its way out from the first bite to the very last the chicken gumbo was delicious! I couldn't come to a New Orleans style restaurant and not get beignets and I'm glad I did. They were WARM, PLUSH, and covered in all the powdered sugar I wanted

We're really glad we got to try Tibby's! Everything was great the service, the food, and the atmosphere, which had a fun New Orleans vibe. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Our server was professional and very attentive -- 10/10 service. The food was delicious. I'm not too familiar with New Orleans cuisine, so I can't say how authentic it was, but I really enjoyed it. I had Rita's Chicken, which came with a rich butter sauce, very flavorful. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm excited to go back!

Alright, folks, gather 'round as I, a lifelong Valrico local, spin a heartfelt yarn about Willie's…read moreSeafood at 1912 Main Street, the place that's been the heartbeat of my life since I was a kid. Born and raised right here in Valrico, Florida, I was brought to Willie's by my granddad, who called it his favorite spot in town. It's been a constant through every chapter of my life--birthdays, heartbreaks, and everything in between. This five-star review is a love letter to Willie's, a seafood haven that's served up memories as rich as their fried catfish and kept me comin' back for decades. From the time I could barely see over the table, Granddad would lead me through Willie's doors, his calloused hand in mine, promisin' the best meal in town. The place felt like a second home--still does. The cozy, weathered interior, with its wooden walls covered in fishing nets, old photos of Valrico's early days, and mounted fish, wraps you in a warm hug of nostalgia. The jukebox in the corner hums old country tunes, and the checkered tablecloths remind me of Granddad's stories about fishin' in the Gulf. He'd sit me down, order a basket of fried shrimp and hush puppies, and tell me, "this here's real Florida eatin'." That first bite of crispy, golden shrimp, dipped in tangy cocktail sauce, was like tastin' the ocean itself--fresh, simple, and perfect. Willie's menu is a love song to seafood, and I've loved every note since I was a kid. Their fried catfish, a Granddad favorite, is still the gold standard--flaky, moist, with a cornmeal crust so crisp it crunches like autumn leaves. The all-you-can-eat nights--catfish, shrimp, haddock, and clam strips on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays--are a tradition I've kept alive, especially now with my own kids. The gator bites, spicy and tender, are a thrill I discovered as a teenager, sneakin' bites off Granddad's plate. Their blackened mahi-mahi, served with creamy grits, is a nod to Florida's coastal soul, with a spice kick that wakes you right up. Even the sides--coleslaw cool as a summer breeze, hush puppies golden and sweet--feel like they were made with love. And don't get me started on the key lime pie; it's tart, creamy perfection that Granddad always saved room for, claimin' it was "better'n any dessert in Tampa." After he passed, I'd sit at our usual table, order his favorite catfish dinner, and feel him right there with me. Now, I bring my family, watchin' my daughter giggle over her popcorn shrimp, just like I did. The staff, some of whom have been here since I was young, treat you like kin. They'd slip me extra hush puppies as a kid, and now they know my order by heart--fried shrimp, fries, and a sweet tea, just like Granddad's. The place ain't fancy, but that's the charm. It's a family-owned gem, run by folks who've been at it since the '70s, and it shows in every bite. The prices are fair--$15.99 for a catfish filet with sides feels like a steal for the quality. The service is quick, even when the place is packed with locals like me, all drawn by the same comfort and flavor. Sure, some might say it's a bit old-school, but that's what makes it special. It's not tryin' to be a chain or a tourist trap--it's just Willie's, servin' up seafood that tastes like home. I've lived in Valrico my whole life, and Willie's has been there for every milestone--first dates, graduations, even quiet nights when I just needed a taste of the past. It's where I learned to love seafood, where Granddad's stories came alive, and where I still feel him every time I walk in. The food, the warmth, the memories--they're all part of me. Willie's Seafood is a five-star treasure, a place that's fed my body and soul for decades. I'll keep comin' back, bringin' my kids and someday their kids, to keep Granddad's favorite spot alive in our hearts.

Perry's Bbq doesn't serve up pulled pork, baked beans or brisket. Even the sign above the counter says "cajun grill" It's not cajun either. Perry's serves up tasty western Chinese food that does have a bbq flair. My wife and I went to the Brandon Town Center mall to visit the Spectrum store. We were hungry and initially had plans to stop somewhere on the way home. But, the food court was calling our names and mall Chinese food always hits the spot. Perry's was the only place in the food court that had a line, even longer than Chick-Fil-A. We only waited a few minutes though. We both ordered two meat plates. Obviously, they come with your choice of two meats and either fried rice or noodles. First, they throw in 3 heaping spoons of the rice and pack it in. I ordered bourbon chicken and honey chicken. My wife also got the bourbon and then opted for the orange chicken. Both halves of the container are covered in the meat, even covering the rice. The portions are huge and well worth the $8.29. We also ordered two egg rolls and a fountain drink to share. $24 in total. We took a seat in the dining area and dug in. The honey chicken is juicy pieces of lightly fried chicken, covered in a sweet honey glaze. The bourbon chicken, isn't fried and does have a more bbq flavor to it. Slightly smoky chunks of chicken with a savory bourbon sauce. The large portion of fried rice was good as well. Majority of it came home with us. My wife's orange chicken was also pretty good. It was the same juicy chunks of chicken, lightly fried. It had a zesty flavor to it and you taste the citrus. The egg rolls were decent. I love egg rolls. These had a slight crunch on the outside and were filled with flavorful veggies but I didn't see any small bits of pork or anything. They were a good size too. One thing we did learn is that Perry's Bbq is connected to Win Win and our favorite sit-down Chinese restaurant of all time, Liang's Bistro. They are in good company. In the end, my wife and I were stuffed. We enjoyed our meal and had leftovers to take home. It didn't break the bank and was tasty. We don't do mall Chinese food often but Perry's Bbq is always our go-to when we do.

The flavors in every bite were incredible; I was so full after eating half, but I couldn't put it down it was THAT GOOD! Oh, and don't skip out on their lemonades, especially the Blue Mermaid! I'll be counting the days until I'm able to go back. The ladies I talked to there were lovely, the food incredible and deserving of every recognition. If you're in the area, check it out. If I lived closer, I'd be there near daily. 10/10, highly recommend!

I also bought a plate with rice and stewed turkey wings, Mac and cheese and greens. The greens and Mac and cheese was really good. However the rice and meat were a bit high on the sodium. I could not finish it. I would definitely like to try other things on the menu. I would definitely be back for the catfish and cornbread because that was a staple.
