Let me start by saying, I do not like leaving a bad review for a business. I know that businesses count on good reviews to gain additional customers and keep the ones they have. Unfortunately, in the case of Tide cleaners (Oswego, Illinois) I find it necessary to leave a poor review in hopes someone from Tide will read this and finally contact me. I brought this leather/suede jacket in to be cleaned. Tide sends my item to an outside company, I wait a couple of weeks to get the jacket back, charged $47 and receive the same dirty garment in return. I've been promised someone will call me for more than a month. I've made three trips to the store each time being told nobody there can help me. "They can't give a refund and someone will contact me". Yet, I wait and wait and wait. Tired of getting nothing but the runaround here. I never imagined I'd be writing such a negative review about Tide dry cleaners in Oswego, but after dropping off my 2 x 3 and 2 x 6 rugs to be washed and being told that the total to get these two carpets cleaned is $200!! I was completely shocked! Now, these two rugs cost $149 when I bought them new, so in my experience with getting carpets cleaned at other dry cleaners, they warn you ahead of time that it will be insanely expensive!! What irritates me is that they don't measure the rugs you bring in; instead, they use "small, medium, and large" pricing. As a result, my 2x3 rug is listed in their system as a 3x5 rug, and my 2x6 runner is shown as a 6x9 rug! It's obvious price gouging! How can they charge that much and claim that the "company that they send the rugs out to cleaned pricing" is to blame rather than their own pricing? What an awful thing to do to a devoted client! I went to the cleaners to pick up my clothing today. I had the WORSE experience I have ever had since it opened in Oswego. I had never interacted with a lady name Teresa. She is probably new, she is not to be mistaken with another employee name Teresa, that I have interacted with for years. I have always had a pleasant experience until today! She was so rude, didn't smile not one bit, she argued with me and the customer ahead of me looked at me because she snapped at her too. I ask to see my jacket that had to be re-cleaned for the second time before I would pay. She said she could not let me see it until after I paid. When I told her that this couldn't be true, that when I came in before the young lady brought the garment out for me to see before paying and afterwards it had to be cleaned a third time. I left there very upset with her attitude towards me. Teresa needs to understand that she represents Tide cleaners. Is this the kind of reputation you want your customers to have and experience? read more

The Oswego location has come a long way to improve services in comparison to when it first opened a few years ago. I don't know if it is new management or something else, but I have been extremely pleased with the service I have been receiving. In an older review, I had mentioned a few things that contributed to the low rating I gave at the time: Missing articles of clothing, not getting all items returned when promised, coupons not being applied to order, and even a damaged sport coat. After those poor experiences, I stopped using Tide for at least six months. Then I was in a pinch to get something cleaned quickly and I tried it again. I was happy with the experience so I continued to try them and it has been consistently good. I also heard that they are no longer sending clothing over to the Naperville location so perhaps that has something to do with it. So at this point in time, I can recommend Tide Cleaners in Oswego! Twice, twice guys, I took items there to be cleaned and spots removed. They took my clothes and said nothing about not being able to get spots out. The first time was a rain jacket and it came back to me with every spot on it that I submitted it with. I paid $11 for that! I was so pissed at myself for paying them anything. 6 months later, I thought I'd try them again ( it's hard to find a dry cleaner around where I live). Again, after pointing the spots on a light jacket, the did not get them out, and charged me full-price! I had paid before receiving my clothes back - I was so pissed again, at myself and them. If I take my car in to the shop and they don't fix it, I don't pay them. How does this not apply to a dry cleaners? I won't go back. read more

I dropped my comforter off and I have to say, this place exceeded my expectations. They did an awesome job on it. I had questions, and Theresa took the time to answer them and explain things to me. I wanted to update my review after continuing to use the Tide Dry Cleaner. Although my poor experiences were real, the service level has drastically improved. I will now attribute the issues I experienced to expansion issues. I now visit the Tide Dry Cleaner location in Oswego 1-2 times per week. I sometimes use the express drop off bin or pickup my clothes after hours with the vending machine. These options are essential to me as I travel often and normal hours are not always convenient with my schedule. But when I am there during normal business hours, the employees are out to my car to pickup my clothes or to hand delivery my cleaned clothes. I have not experienced any issues recently. My clothes are back on time, as promised. I really appreciate all the hard work of the employees and Scott the manager to get this location working so smoothly. It really is a time saver and very convenient! The other point I would like to make is the quality. I wear a suit every day and have for almost 20 years. I have used traditional dry cleaners, cleaners with home pickup and delivery and even the discount cleaners. None of them get your clothes as clean as Tide. My suits look great and my shirts are as white as the day I purchased them. It is also great to open my closet and have a fresh smell; not a chemical smell. I highly recommend Tide Dry Cleaners for all your dry cleaning needs! read more

So I admit I have only gone twice but both times mistakes were made. First shirts that were to be folded and boxed were hung. Second trip we took a large comforter and they ended up ripping several holes in it to spread out the stuffing. Problem is all the holes were on the side we kept facing up and were not on existing seams. They did provide me with my cash back for the cleaning but each time I called or stopped the manager was never around. The poor employee that finally helped me was friendly and nice that's why they have any stars and I even apologized to her and I knew it was not her fault but I am done with that business. read more

How great is it to pull up and drop off dry cleaning? It's the best here when Mary or Christina comes to Your car with a friendly smiling face asking how your day is going and where they can put your clean clothes. If I could I would give this place zero stars! I wanted my jeans heavy starched with center creases and shirts light starched. A lady named Teresa even called back to make sure of my preference. When I went to pick up there was NO center creases and absolutely no starch in jeans. Also the shirts had no starch what so ever and they still made me pay for the shirts. I will never go back to this place!! The worst customer service, false advertising, and no communication!! I dropped my clothes off on Monday morning(7am) for same day service. Stopped by after work to pick them up and to my surprise they wasn't ready. No explanation, just "we were busy", sorry you advertise same day delivery if in before 9am. Ok, so I get a email today, after 5pm, saying "order ready". Again when to pick up from the automated system and I get a message saying that there's no order ready for me!!!! Wtf!!!! They also leave out clothes without telling you, I received some of my clothes weeks after dropping them off. They said it must have been missed.... again, Wtf!!!!! One of the best dry cleaners I've been to. Everything I get back is intact, you can tell they take their time and being a family business shows through their work. The customer service here is amazing, especially the manager Gabriel helped us out so much. We had some issues at our old dry cleaners so to have a staff who genuinely care about your stuff as they would their own is extremely gratifying. I stained one of my favorite rompers and I was convinced it was ruined. As a last ditch effort, I took it in to Tide to ask if they thought the stain could be removed. Sam helped me and thought they could get the stain out and even gave me a discount as a first time customer! I dropped my romper off around 8:30 AM and was able to pick it up STAIN FREE by 5 PM. horrible service, twice they lost my clothes, and i was not able to pick my business clothes in time. their management is poor and do not ever rely on their drive through automatic kiosk as it doesn work after hours and you will be totally out of luck when you have to travel next day and picking up your clothes the night before after hours. this place is needing serious overhaul and their phone and desk employees are all poorly trained. what ever their system is just doesn't work. read more

This was my first time using a Dry Cleaner and it was a very good experience choosing this location. I recently received a promotion at work which involved me to go from wearing a polo uniform to wearing my own professional clothing. That included many new articles of clothing that I purchased. I was very uncertain/worried to wash some of them from home so I decided to try a dry cleaners and going to this location was a great choice. Since it was my first time using a dry cleaners I honestly didn't know how it worked. Gabe who I believe is one of the managers was very helpful and helped to explain how dry cleaning works and gave me all the details and service they can provide. Working in customer service I can appreciate and really notice good customer service when I see it. Once I picked up my clothing everything was there and in good condition. I live near by and they did just open. It is conveniently located off of Orchard rd in Oswego. Right next to the Dunkin Donuts. So you can drop off your Dry Cleaning and grab some coffee! I give them 5 stars because of the customer service and of course the work they provide. Being a new store you don't always know what to expect and I received a great first impression. read more

Tide Dry Cleaners refused to accept a comforter with cat vomit that I hadn't been able to fully remove via spot cleaning. They said that they won't clean anything with animal or human vomit. What am I supposed to do? Throw the comforter away? I'm not the only person with pets or children! I took the comforter next door to the established cleaners that I have used for years, and they are confident that they can get it clean. If I had read the other negative review regarding Tide Dry Cleaners' failure to clean her comforter, I wouldn't have wasted my time. read more

What can I say other than they cleaned my clothes, their prices are less than their competitors, they were extremely friendly, my clothes were ready when they told me they would be. I've had nothing but good experiences each time I've gone in there. I'm on Tides email list and they're always sending me really good coupons, I hope this continues after they're established. My wife and I recently made a visit here and whoa! We're not too used to a dry cleaner who can provide all these extra amenities such as they do. They have a drive thru, 24 hour drop off and pick up, basically you can drop your clothes off overnight and pick them up through the kiosk in the drive-thru. I decided to try the automated pick up out and it worked wonders. The staff was very knowledgeable and nice even though they looked pretty busy! The prices are about the same in comparison to other Cleaners in the area. Only reason for not giving a 5* rating is due to us overpaying because we were quoted a different price during drop off. Fortunately, the manager was very nice and adjusted the difference for us right away. They do not provide the total price up front but they do have price lists. We like this place a lot ! read more

Brought my comforter in the get cleaner. Now this was the second time I had brought it in. Came back with same dirt on it and didn't even look or smell clean. First time you could smell it was cleaned. For $20 it was a huge waste. Don't waste your money here. I found black woman's hairs in my comforter also. FYI. I don't have black hair. I wouldn't use this company for wash and fold. When I went to pick up, I received the wrong clothes. The attendant was asking me and another gentlemen to look though dozens of other people's clothes to find our own...so frustrating. By the way, I have tried Tide twice for wash and fold...same result both times (couldn't find my clothes and bad smell). As I am looking through other customers clothes, a gentleman walks in the store with...GUESS...YES...MY CLOTHES! The guy must have been so frustrated he must have ripped open the bag of clothes (which were mine). So now I receive my clothes in a ripped open bag. The attendant never offered to put my clothes in a new bag or even an apology. I was shocked! Now, once I finally got my clothes home...my clothes had a bad smell to them and still wasn't clean. (I should have taken pics)...I was just so frustrated I had repay to have my clothes rewashed at a different facility. Tides dry cleaning is okay, but I would never use them for wash and fold. Update to my review below. After I posted my review I was contacted by the owner of this dry cleaner. He wanted to know the full details of not only the pendant but also the people I encountered. The vibe I got from him was that he was very attentive and genuine in trying to ensure that this will no longer happen again. He asked me to send him a picture of the pendant and I did. After a day or two he contacted me again and let me know that he couldn't find the pendant. He asked me the price of the dress, as in he was willing to pay for the dress but I honestly didn't know. He also offered a credit. I felt he was extremely sincere in resolving this issue with my dress. Afterwards, I was made whole just by his actions of diligently looking for the pendant and following up with me of an end result. I am planning on taking a couple items there this week and I will write another review on my experience at that time. read more

Don't ever come here. We had great service until we didn't. I ran in one day to drop off a formal dress and 3-5 of my husbands shirts to be dry cleaned. The store manager was the one I gave my clothes to. I stated that I didn't have my orange bag this week and apologized she said it wasn't a problem and to put them on the counter. I asked if I needed a claim ticket she said no because I have an account and usually have my orange bag they have me in the system. I said okay she said next day after 5 PM. Well I dropped off after Christmas and here I am April 2, 2020 and still have not had my garments found. I went back in early February once I realized I never got my email telling me my clothes were ready for pickup. She said there's no record of the drop off and no items in her store. I told her I dropped them off with her and asked what I she meant. She said no record, no claim ticket and no video footage since they don't keep it longer than a few weeks (how convenient). So I've been in the process of trying to talk to the owner (she wouldn't give me contact info) gone to customer service who says to write an email (done two and called twice) no response and "they can't help all they do is forward emails" (how is that customer service??). I just want my dress back. I struggled to get pregnant for almost 3 years and wore that dress in my first Mother's Day pictures with my daughter last year, it was the dress I wore in my sisters wedding. I just want my freaking dress back and can't get anyone to help me. After reaching out to moms in Yorkville I've found several people who have filed police reports and found out that employees were SELLING their garments on the side. Please, don't go here if you have something important to you. They farm everything out to the Naperville location for cleaning and have lose so much in transit. read more

They finally found my clothes a week later, didn't even offer to give me a discount or anything for this problem. We have used the new Tide Cleaners in Oswego a few times since they opened, mostly for routine cleaning of shirts and pants. The location and hours are very convenient. Recently one of my sons had a need for a special piece of clerical clothing that needed to be cleaned in a short period of time. Christina, the clerk there, took good care of his order, making sure it was back in time. The item is white and it came very bright. He was very relieved and quite happy to wear it! My only concern is that I prefer to know how much the cost will be prior to picking it up. read more
