This is the second time that I have had my boat hauled out at McCuddy's boatyard. The first time…read morewas in 2023 when I hauled out for just a few hours but this time my boat was on the hard for over a week while I had a crew come in to paint the bottom and I had a different guy do some fiberglass repair. I also did several jobs myself including changing the anodes and installing a line cutter. The staff at the boatyard was great to work with and Andrew made the whole process go smoothly.

My car broke down a month…read moreago and had to use my RV as transportation to get to my boat and they were making unreasonable requests that violate ADA laws by wanting me to walk or ride a bike instead while I await my car's return from the shop. As a disabled person I cannot walk or ride a bike as a means to get around. Mark McCuddy either likes lawsuits waiting to happen or he's unaware of ADA laws and that businesses that cater to the public are required to make accommodations. This was a temporary situation that I had no control over. As a business owner I would have expected he'd be better informed and wanting to make his business better rather than sink it through ADA violations because I am about ready to take the company to court over this since it is illegal for businesses to refuse ADA accommodations and to make such illegal requests of a disabled person because they're too lazy to do anything. He allows his employee Mark Anderson to use threats and intimidation to try and get the matter to go away even which is in itself illegal. At the time my RV was my only means of transportation until I got my car back. I am in the process unfortunately in getting a lawyer regarding this issue since the business owner refuses to remedy the situation and correct it. He refuses to even discuss the matter since he doesn't believe he has to follow ADA laws apparently. If you want a business that doesn't discriminate and doesn't intimidate and bully their disabled customers, take your boat and go elsewhere if you're a disabled boater. It's a reasonable ADA accommodation for a business to allow Something to be used for transportation when there's no other viable option if the parking space is available. This is out of pure discrimination and laziness at worst and very least, ignorance of the ADA laws.
