A lot has changed in Nuevo Laredo in over four years. One lasting impression was the emptiness on the streets such as Guerrero. That tendency extended to Tiendas Soriana.
The store is located towards the end on Guerrero, near an area with fast food restaurants. People were not there, now, keep in mind that we went there at around 9 at night. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
But, having a few people makes for a nice shopping experience, the place is pack with quality national and international products, such as apple yogurt from Lala and Jamon Serrano from Spain, that was just delicious. I got a bottle of Catto's, a Scotch that is very hard to find in the USA that was on special for about $7, you just can't beat that.
There were some products that were there before and now seems not available anymore, I respect that decision as businesses came down for years due to the violence in the city. But, being there again was nice and the store keeps maintaining the comfortable setting for their customers. read more
