Block House was on the top of our list, but the closest was much farther away than we expected. A quick Internet search pulled up good reviews for Papa Asada so, in the spirit of trying someplace new, off we went. If we didn't have an address and the reviews to go on, we'd have easily dismissed this place as an option. It is in an isolated section near a residential area and, from the outside, it doesn't look appealing at all. (It was grey and unpleasant weather though.) It was a Monday night so there was ample seating to choose from inside. It looked as unimpressive as the outside. But, again, the reviews! Drinks were served up quickly, so was the garlic bread appetizer. (I've had better but they were gobbled up anyway.) The steaks though, WOW, thank you, Internet! Lots of moans of food-tasting joy at our table, LOL. Besides the good taste of the steaks, there was also the sour-cream-smothered monster baked potatoes and some really delicious green beans. The waiter surprised the birthday boy with a complimentary bottle of wine too. Totally awesome. That's been a couple of weeks ago, but I swore to myself that I'd come back and thank you folks for the tip. We were all happy with the choice!

They were great, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Then I ordered a clay pot filled with rice, vegetables and ground meat. It was a ton of delicately seasoned, tasty food and came with some lovely bread. Our table also ordered an omelet which was huge and well received. They have a large selection of drinks and a nice little patio in the front. This is a great spot when visiting Oranienburg for a lot of tasty food at a very reasonable price.

After the tour we were so hungry, so we thought we would stop. The service was so accommodating and friendly, and the food was spectacular. You can tell this is a family owned business and everything is made from original recipes. This was the perfect place to recharge after a long tour on our feet. Now we will continue walking back to the train station....
