They were able to schedule a next-day, emergent load-out for me, provided me a realistic price-estimate for my belongings, and a written confirmation of the appointment (had a 16-ft PODS container parked outside of my new apartment). Michael gave me a courtesy call 15 minutes before arrival (their arrival was right on time). I was very impressed and a bit surprised at the speed of their service. I hired three guys to carry 1200 square feet worth of heavy, wood furniture, boxes and kitchen appliances up three flights of stairs. I was in the military for 10 years and conducted many moves; I've never had a move that took less than five hours to complete. These guys did it in under four. Do I recommend Little Guys? ABSOLUTELY. After countless hours trying to find a DECRA roofing contractor in my area, I contacted DECRA…read moredirectly for a list of contractors. Sustainable Edge Construction, LLC. was one of those listed. Unlike all that I contacted, Sustainable Edge Construction, LLC. responded to my call. That was the beginning of my engagement with this exemplary organization. I later discovered that along with DECRA, they also install asphalt and standing seam steel roofing. In addition, this is a family-owned business and they treat their employees and customers like family. During my online research of several other roofing contractors, I found multiple negative reviews due to poor installation of DECRA roofing. I quickly realized that I needed to ensure Sustainable Edge Construction, LLC. was able to install the product. The DECRA warranty is a manufacturer's defect warranty and I strongly encourage that only an experienced DECRA roofing installer be utilized. My research found that Sustainable Edge Construction, LLC. has installed numerous DECRA roofs throughout Texas, and it is that experience which equipped their installers to handle my unique installation. My installation required the installers to install DECRA mounts for my solar company to re-install my solar panels without voiding my DECRA manufacturer's warranty and maintain the low profile I required of the solar panels. My home is located on a cul-de-sac and is the first street upon entering. Aesthetically, my home's positioning results in it being seen by every driver into the sub-division. I was also afforded the opportunity to observe Sustainable Edge Construction, LLC installation of DECRA roofing on another residence in my area. Although this product can be installed in a few configurations to reduce costs, I make the following personal recommendations: 1. Do not hire an inexperienced installer to install your DECRA roof. This is the overhead cover for the place you call "Home". Our residence is one of biggest purchases of our lifetime, and you want your installer to have the best technical skills to properly install your DECRA roof. 2. Do not overlay an old asphalt roof with DECRA. Instead, strip off all the old roof and underlayment completely. Afterwards, the entire roof should be covered in ice and water shield prior to installing DECRA.. Doing so exposes any decking that may require replacing and all the new metal shingle fasteners will be sealed by the polypropylene of the ice and water shield. 3. Be prepared for the time it takes to install a DECRA roof so allocate at least a week for the installation. This is likely the last roof you'll ever place on your home, so be aware that it will take time for it to be properly installed. If the contractor states they can do it in a couple of days, that's an absolute guarantee they'll do it wrong. 4. Most importantly, communication amongst any other contractor working on the roof is critical to a successful DECRA installation. The metal panels have to be properly locked together at every joint. Walking on the joints will compromise the integrity of the panel and/or ice and water shield. The DECRA roof installation is nothing short of amazing and will undoubtedly outlast my lifetime I hope that I have been of some help to anyone who is considering a DECRA roof or has had problems finding a high quality roofing contractor. Whether asphalt, steel, or DECRA, if your roof needs replacement I highly recommend Sustainable Edge LLC.
