Destiny listened in a way I haven't experienced before. Not just to my symptoms, but to the…read morespecificity of my trauma, my neurobiology, the Orch-OR framework I work with, the binaural practices I've built to regulate myself. She met all of that with genuine empathy, the kind that isn't performed, but recognized. The conversation flowed easily because she was actually present, actually curious. She wanted to know more because she wanted to help, not because a protocol required it. That curiosity became the architecture of my care. Within days, she'd moved from listening to precision: Auvelity to modulate my actual glutamate dysregulation instead of the standard SSRI path. Spravato approval. A whole system of support coordinated around what she'd heard from me. Six days into treatment, the anhedonia wall dissolved. I'm alive again. If you've been ignored by systems, over-medicated into numbness, unseen by providers who checked boxes instead of actually listening, find someone like Destiny. She is the rare kind of healer who understands that genuine empathy and clinical precision are the same act. She sees the whole architecture of you and builds from there.

I recently had an appointment with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Destiny Sellers. I…read morehave an established ADHD diagnosis and ongoing prescription, and Destiny came highly recommended from the staff for continuity of care since my previous prescriber was no longer offering Telehealth appointments. Prior to the appointment, I filled out paperwork listing all of my medications, and had my previous clinic fax over medical records, prescriptions, etc. The staff was extremely friendly, and my appointment with Destiny went extremely well. We spoke for roughly an hour - going over current issues I have been going through , and confirming which medications I am on. Destiny informed me that she would be able to write 6 months worth of prescription refills, but that I would additionally need to establish care with an M.D. at some point within that timeframe. This was fine, as 6 months would offer me plenty of time to do so. A few days after my appointment, I called the clinic inquiring as to whether my refills had been called into my pharmacy. I was told that because I had not seen my previous Psychiatrist in the last 6 months, that Destiny could not legally write my prescriptions as a Nurse Practitioner. (My previous Psychiatrist had been calling in my Rx until I found someone local to establish care with). This was frustrating and confusing - as I had sent over all of my medications prior to my appointment, and went over the medications with Destiny in person during the appointment. On top of that, I was told that the $250 Initial Session Fee that I paid (I don't have insurance) was not refundable. *I expect Maumelle Family Clinic will make right on this, as I assume this was just an error in communication and not some outright scam. Again, Destiny and her staff were fantastic. Once this is fully resolved, I will update my rating accordingly.
