I recently attended the event at Marian House in Cherry Hill. While the venue was beautiful and the…read morevendors were kind and engaging, I was deeply disappointed by the apparent lack of integrity in the way the main raffle--the event's primary draw--was conducted. At the start of the raffle, I observed a blonde staff member quietly place a ticket in front of a bride seated beside me, who showed no reaction. That bride later handed the ticket to her fiancé. At the end of the event, the same staff member returned to announce the honeymoon winner, reading a pre-drawn ticket number. The bride and her mother nudged the fiancé--who hadn't even looked at his ticket--before he finally claimed the prize, awkwardly feigning surprise. It was the same blue ticket placed in front of them at the start. This sequence of events strongly suggests that the outcome was predetermined. It is extremely disappointing to witness such a lack of fairness, integrity, and transparency, especially at an event meant to celebrate such meaningful moments. I am happy for anyone winning an amazing honeymoon - but the fact that it was rigged to gift to someone predetermined soured my experience and trust in attending any future events. Beyond the disappointment in the moment, the implications of this are significant. Many brides came with genuine excitement and invested their time, under the impression that they had a fair chance at the prize. The rigged grand prize not only undermines that trust but also damages the credibility of the organizers and participating vendors. I was not the only witness. For upcoming bridal shows, I will not be attending any run by this company - and I highly advise any brides attending or thinking of it to come in with the expectation that the main prize is likely someone the staff knows or has prearranged with to win.

I e-mailed a few people, and Melissa was the first one to get back to me. We were married in July 2011 and worked extensively with Melissa and her assistant Katie. At our first meeting I was unsure if a wedding planner was really necessary. We live in Maryland and were having our wedding near my family in Lancaster County. After we spoke with Melissa and Katie it was clear we needed a wedding planner. We didn't quite realize everything that went into planning a wedding, and were confident that they were the people to help us. Melissa helped us find a venue and all of our vendors. She also negotiated between us and the vendors and negotiated our contracts. Trust me- you need Melissa. The last thing you want to do is negotiate contracts before your big day. Since we live out of state Melissa also gave us a few suggestions for vendors and coordinated meetings. We wanted vendors who loved their job and were good at it, and Melissa found us those people. We never would have found those quality vendors if we hadn't been working with Melissa. She also helped us find vendors that were better and cheaper than the most expensive vendors. She knew exactly where to go from flowers to cake to buying a dress to getting the dress altered! Melissa and Katie made the lead up to the wedding and the wedding day run smoothly. Her and Katie answered e-mails quickly and they received many e-mails from me regarding anxieties about the big day and our plans. They made sure our wedding day was stress free.
