After touring the gyms I came away with the impression that Stafford was by far the best gym in the area. The staff is superb and the gym and equipment are clean. None of that terrible "gym" smell that you often get at the gyms as they age. They also do an excellent job at making sure there aren't so many members in the gym that there are long wait times to use the equipment.

Beginning during the end stages of COVID restrictions, it was so nice to experience outdoor swimming, the hot tub, and social time with other members. Swimming is my main experience at the club so here is what you should know: * Six lane outdoor salt water pool that is open year round (I've done laps in the snow, sleet, and hail). * You can reserve four of the six lanes and it is very competitive to get times, especially during the warm weather months when you are competing for space with the swim team, swim lessons, and aqua aerobics classes. * The other two lanes are left open for first come first serve usage and swimmers are encouraged to share. * The outdoor hot tub is for 14+ over. I have only taken one yoga class at the club and all classes have you reserve your spot. If you cancel less than 12 hours in advance or are a no show, you are charged a $10 fee. Personally, I don't mind since the reservation system makes me accountable and if I don't have a reservation, I'm less likely to go workout. The club is a nice mix of serious athletes (I'm surrounded by masters swimmers and triathletes), retirees, and families. Prior to my membership, my teenage son was a member for two years and loved the weight room, sauna, and steam room. The club as been open for awhile and is definitely showing its age and is need of some maintenance upgrades in the pool area. That being said, I have been very happy with my membership here and the personal feel, literally being greet by name when entering and exiting, and the wonderful customer service. This club is very different from the large national chains, so to each their own. Definitely recommend a trial membership at this club as well as others in the area to see which is the best fit for you. [1] I am currently re-watching this classic sitcom and while not aging well in the post Me Too era, still good for a lot of laughs.

That's why I'm obsessed with this new find in the Southwest community! This neighborhood community center has cool activities like two indoor pools. One is designated for laps- 9 feet deep and the other includes a wading pool with slide, up to 4 ft and 6 inches at the deepest. I also love that there is a shower and lockers open for use so you can clean up before heading to the pool. The kids seem to absolutely love it - there are tons of other families with little ones. Open pool time is ~ 2-4pm, go early so you can get in. There's a capacity limit, our visit happened to be 75. If want to make it, BE THERE EARLY. Can not stress this enough. It is not the staff's fault if you can not get in. There are standards for a reason. You do not want to be cooped up in a space where it can not accommodate for more than what's expected. You also want to keep in mind that there are lifeguards to look out for everyone's safety and well being, so please be mindful of that as well! There are also other parts of the center to enjoy, such as an indoor basketball gym, rollerskating sessions, aqua aerobics, gym, and even dancing. It's the perfect blend of family-friendly fun and adult-approved relaxation. If you're looking for a place with a strong sense of community, stunning scenery, and a pool that's basically its own mini-vacation destination, then this is your spot! Totally recommend it! P.S. They said they didn't know how to refund the $50 membership fee so they would have to ask the next day. It didn't get done and then I received an email from Laura Gonzales the membership coordinator saying all I could get was a $50 credit. How am I supposed to use that? It's completely useless. I am very upset about this. It's not the money, it's the principal of it. How they advertise they are family friendly and all that, then pull a fast one and keep your money and you get nothing for it because you changed your mind mid-sign up. I hadn't even left the building!

The location is also very near where my office is. I can just drive up or ride the bus and go right in. The pool is super nice, right temperature and good place to water walk or swim very slowing since I am a beginner. This is one of three YMCAs I go to in Oregon, the other one is in Albany which is a bit of a long drive. The staff that work here is super nice like the one near my flat. For the days I am in the state of Oregon, this is a great place for the community. Warning: If you have the wrong kind of membership then you are bound to suffer.

Nothing else (I've tried it all) helped much so I went ahead with an initial training appointment and it changed EVERYTHING! i could barley walk normally when we first started and 3 appointments later I could move more freely and when my pain got bad it only took hours instead of days to reset. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is so spotty, down more often than not, that I can't imagine being able to do any kind of work from the club. This also makes it challenging to use any kind of app which requires Wi-Fi in order to track your progress when you're lifting. The second reason I dropped my star rating was because there are a number of machines, for example the large cable machine in the main workout area, that are missing most of their weight stickers. Unless you are familiar with the weight progression of that specific machine, you are guessing at what weight you are actually lifting. Final issue, the attachments for the cable machine over in the room which has the Astroturf are very worn. A few are missing the rings to even connect and people have tied knots into the strap in order to make it work. These may seem minor but for the price you pay for a membership plus the sign-up fee, I would expect these little things to be easily taken care of.

Four months after I purchased my condo at Tanglewood and put one year of my HOA dues into my…read moreaccount, Mountain Park turned me over to their attorney for collections over $276 club membership that I didn't know was required and was missed by the real estate professionals during our transaction. when I connected to Mountain Park, they told me I had to pay their lawyer/collections agency. The $276 bill had a ledger filled with false charges and just months later was $3635 Their attorney told me if I didn't pay they would increase it by hundreds of dollars every day and they would foreclose on my home which they were already legally entitled to do. Mountain Park HOA is overseen by the same attorney at Tanglewood. This law firm routinely has a business model of going after the homeowners they represent and foreclosing on their homes. In my case, a $276 bill was falsely escalated to nearly $3700 which does not include the court fees and other expenses I incurred in trying to figure this out. Although mountain Park knew it was an innocent mistake, they refused to allow me to pay them and work with me directly. They knew just how much the attorney was charging me, and had no compunction in moving forward with a lawsuit to take my home. Further, they have done this two dozens of people in the last 10 years. It is my sentiment that the mountain park HOA should be disbanded/dissolved by the owners, and the land and clubhouse donated to the city for tax break for the residents here. The attorney over this HOA would not want this to happen because these HOA's are their stocked pond. They specifically target people who own their homes, and have no way to fight them--low income. My housing experience here has been utterly cruel and in no way does it reflect fair housing. HOAs don't have a great deal of regulation in Oregon and so they get away with things like this. Also, my neighbors, aren't aware of what they did to me--so now you know. At a minimum, an exclusive club would send you an orientation, or maybe even leave a nice welcome basket at your front door, they would be polite when you called them, and they would work with you. Instead, they showed me the utmost cruelty and put me in a dire financial situation--as intended. Let's contact the city manager and ask them to help us donate the land. (503) 635-0215
