I come here even for the boxing conditioning classes every week and never had a problem with the trainers. When it comes to injuries and fixing my sciatica, an issue I have had over the past five years, I recommend seeing Hope. UFC Fit definitely takes pride in hiring passionate and considerate trainers. Hope has done nothing but ensure that my priorities are met and always takes the time to hear me out and make me feel a lot better! As for their customer service, I always go to Chris for an issue, one of the operations manager of the gym. I have had concerns this past year in regards to the cleanliness of the establishment and he has always made sure my needs are met. And if anyone is interested in getting a membership, Chris is the man to go to! Love this gym and would never imagine myself switching!

The floor looks like it has never been mopped before and there is also visible dirt and dust everywhere on the mats. The women's locker room was also disgusting; I opened a locker to find an unidentifiable chalk/ salt looking substance scattered all over the locker! Too dirty to even leave my things in the locker. Also, there is a very limited selection of free weights less than 15 lbs

Their membership is high if you compare it to other places in the area that offer the same exact, and even better, classes - at the time I joined, I did not know the Wayne Community Center offered those, and I wish I had because they charge 50% less than Spa23 and have amazing trainers. In all honesty, I'm disappointed at how they handled my last billing. I had decided to set up personal training sessions with a trainer named Ricky, I trusted him and my mistake was not asking questions when we sat down to sign the contract, however, as an employee, he should've made sure I understood what I was signing - he did not explain what his rates were, nor how much I'd be billed for the month, so they billed me $212! I had already moved and canceled my membership with them, but they still billed my account. The person that reached out to me to explain the situation was nice, but no resolution was given - I'm now 45 minutes from Spa23, my money was never refunded, and credits for a different service can't be given. I know people who had gone to Spa23 and ended up leaving, both trainers and members, due to their dislike of it and how much of a "chain management" it had, but I truly didn't think I'd experience that firsthand.

NOPE. Still a significant difference in temperature when you go into the cardio area, probably 20 to 25 degrees warmer than everywhere else.. Its almost tropical. It stinks because rest of gym is quite comfortable, nice and cool. Why wouldn't they invest in some ceiling fans to circulate the air at least?? at the rates they charge? when I joined my current gym I made a comment about the temps there as well... about a week or 2 later, they went and installed fans in every corner of the gym to circulate the air. I was impressed. My current gym is much smaller, their fees are more than half of Spa 23, and they are 24/7 which is huge for me, and its nice and cool. Their treadmills even have little fans built in which are pretty strong. So I will not be returning here... too bad, they're equipment is pretty impressive.

I mentioned to Ryan that these are the 3 things I like to use and would like some sort of discount until fixed. He told me no and to go use another LA Fitness. He showed no concern whatsoever for my complaints and seemed bothered to be pulled away from his friends/coworkers that he was chatting with. As far as the gym, it is very dirty with the locker room being the worst. The locker room had a very bad odor for several months. It may not be the gym as much as the manager Ryan that needs fixing. So I've used the free teens program last and this summer (and I had a paid membership for a couple…read moreof months after last year before cancelling due to getting busy). Honestly, I like the environment here in the mornings. I go during the EARLY mornings because I know that teenagers using the same pass are going to come after school. I think it's a great thing since it encourages high schoolers to get more fit and spend less time doom scrolling. Personally, in-between sets I go on my phone and sometimes get weird looks, which is funny because whether it be because of the fact that I'm changing the song I'm listening to or checking my emails, there's always another machine of the one I'm using available. Considering the time I come at (as previously said, morning), there's also a chance that those occasional looks are just tired people spacing out during their workouts so I don't worry about it too much. I also saw someone filming the last time I went, but they had their phone positioned in a way that looked like they were trying to have themselves in the frame, and I haven't had any problems with people being on their phones recording others or anything (which was a slight fear of mine when I started working out). The front desk staff are also super nice. Only sad thing is that it feels like all the workers from last year have been swapped, but that's just a natural part of life. Another review also mentioned a key thing that I agree with, the equipment doesn't always look like other members wiped it down. My guess is just that people who go to the gym for the first time may not know they need to wipe the equipment (which may seem like common sense but I don't like judging), or that people sometimes just genuinely forget. I usually just wipe the occasional questionable equipment myself since there are a lot of stations, but the paper towels are also unnecessarily hard to rip "correctly." I think there just needs to be signs somewhere reminding people to clean what they use and that would probably help. Also, the bathrooms are really nice. My guy friends (aka all my gym friends) seem to say the male restroom is clean so , and I can attest for the female restroom being clean . And best of all, the mirrors in the bathroom have lights which make you literally feel like you're glowing.

I have tried every gym in the area (I used to do day passes at every gym within an hour radius while on school break so I have tried other golds gyms, 24hrs, pfits, retro, crunch, blink, powerhouse, you name it) and this is my favorite gym in north jersey. The new owner replaced a lot of the equipment including the floors and treadmills while leaving a lot of the old classic equipment which I love combined with new fantastic Atlantis machines. The gym also has a large turf area and basketball court which is a huge plus for athletic training. Also a sauna, but the best part of the gym is the community, a great mix of old classic body builders, young guys, and the staff is super friendly. My only complaints would be a new filtered water fountain would be great, there are multiple old ones that don't taste great and I've heard the town has given the owners a problem with replacing pipes. They put a gate in the front which was a big annoyance at first but it works well now and helps keep non members from sneaking in, and the parking lot has the largest potholes I've ever seen and they always come back despite them repatching them, it needs a full pave but I believe that is on the town and out of the gyms control. Also on some week nights one of the trainers runs an absolutely obnoxious workout class and blasts music on top of the gym music while taking up the entire turf area. She could easily use the empty studio room that they don't use at all. Still one of my favorite gyms out of hundreds I've been to considering a reasonable price!

There is also a small boxing area, basketball court, studio rooms for classes, barber, tanning and physical therapy services available. All that being said, they have been renovating a lot of the gym (awesome)--but the renovations seem to be happening at a snail's pace (not awesome). The half-done renovations sitting for months start to look...not so good. Locker-room is nothing special. Honestly, if anything needed a renovation it would be that. For the membership price, the majority of front desk employees could be a little friendlier. A quick "Hi, enjoy your workout" as you walk-in, goes a long way. The maintenance guy grinds hard as hell, and greets almost every member! Take a page from his book.

Recently, I dropped my membership. You might ask, WHY? The pool and hot tub closed for weeks due to poor water management. Machines were shut down because they required repair and were not fixed in a timely manner. The eight showers were never all working at the same time and the air conditioning broke during the summer. These are the major reasons I gave up my membership but I could get picky and list more. Since I have joined Planet Fitness, their machines are all functioning. Most machines are relatively new. Patrons disinfect the apparatus after use which shocked me. The members are very respectful of others. The members for the most part do not sit on the machines with their Iphones. If you are not using the machine get off it. The gym is cleaned on a regular basis with numerous garbage cans throughout. You won't find litter on the floor. This gym is worlds apart from my LA Fitness experience. Thank God some people know how to run a gym.
