They have a salsa bar with smiley faces to indicate spiciness and have comical names to go along with the face. I had the chicken taco salad which was good. They give you chips with your order and have outdoor tables. They play good music and it's a unique decor. I've been here several times and haven't been disappointed. OMG!!! I am so elated that we found this Tijuana Flats across the street from the mall! The food was outstanding; just absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised because I've been to others and I wasn't impressed. The ambience friendliness attitude and helpfulness made our evening perfect the food portions for the money excellent taste and did provide us a quick meal so we can go further in our day. There was a young lady by the name of London who was so exceptionally helpful & understanding when I was having difficulty getting my order in through my phone. She had such patience and understanding it just totally blew me away. I wish all Tijuana Flats could be modeled after this store. I am just singing her praises! First time going and I really enjoyed my burrito. I wish I had asked what the topping were inside because there were jalapeños and I was asked if I wanted everything inside. Typical Tijuana Flats location with friendly service. They have about 10 different items which you can customize with a protein or other accompaniments. The food is made fresh for you as you order. On my most recent visit I ordered the black bean flautas with no cheese or sour cream- delicious! We also ordered a side of chips, but they were extremely overly salted which was a bummer. No. It was A-OK and in my opinion, better than the fast food joints nearby. Interesting concept, a sauce bar. Not the same thing as Moe's has with a salsa bar, these are not the kind you pour over the top or that you dip your chips into. The "to go" cups for the sauce bar were about a teaspoon each. Other choices are available as well. Additionally, they have a bar set up with sauces...from hot to OMG!!!! I'M ON FIRE!!!! Atmosphere is relaxed. The only thing I would prefer is full table service. The way ordering is set up, you go up to the counter to order and pay and then a server brings everything out to you. Is the cuisine authentic? No. But it is still tasty and the price is right. This place is quick, fun, and casual. It's an upscale fast food joint that serves beer, wine, and sangria! When I called the restaurant when I arrived on time to the Curbside Pickup, nobody answered after more than 15 minutes waiting on the phone. Tried several other times calling with no luck. Saw many other customers besides myself parking at Curbside and going in because they were not answering phones. I had to go inside and expose myself to other people to get my order. Brought it to the attention of one of the staff, but she did not care, apologize, or offer to help bring my food out. Had to come back in twice since I had to carry 3 large drinks in my hands (which they did not have a holder for) plus the bag order. Because of the long wait, the crunchy tacos we ordered were cold, soggy and didn't taste good. What's the point of having a Curbside Pickup when you never answer the phones?!? I've been to this location before and other locations before and nev the customer neglect my family experienced today. More workers than usual and less attention to the customer's needs. Plenty of staff members, but all talking in the back. I needed more utensils when my son dropped his spoon and to-go lids and refills and never got any assistance. I had to wait behind the long ordering line to ask for these things. That's not fair to the register workers either to make them do the extra work that the dining room staff should be covering. They changed their menu and it was a mistake, the food taste different it's not quite the same, I had the chimichanga beef the flavor was completely different from before and the cheese sauce they placed on top of it, it was so bland, it was like they watered down the sauce ( no flavor), they also took the salsa verde, the one sauce that everybody ordered it was so good it's a shame they took it away, and they also took away the enchiladas, the only good thing is that they added Angry orchard the beer menu.... service was great like always and the managers are alway attentive..... My fiancé is obsessed with Tijuana Flats. I'm not a huge fan, but he is. Maybe I just order the wrong things. I think the food is okay. The atom bombs are the BEST. And don't let them tell you that they can't make them to order, because they can. Here's my experience with that situation: Sometimes I order Atom Bombs and they're just too spicy, too many jalapeños for me. I always said they'd be great without jalapeños or with just a few. So my friend, who worked there for a long while, told me that I could ask for it that way. And I did. The girl at the register told me it was no problem, and asked one of the assistant managers (? I guess) how to put it in the order so that the kitchen knew. The guy was really rude and told me it couldn't be done that way because they make them all up in the morning. I told him that his information was false, because I had a friend who worked there and said it could be done. He said "well, we can, but not when we're this busy." This busy? There was no one in line behind us, and there were maybe 6 people in the entire place! I said "really?" and he finally admitted that he could do it, but you could tell he really didn't feel like it. He also called me a "bitch" under his breath. Extremely unprofessional!! The female cashier apologized for his behavior when he walked away, and apologized again when she served us our food. That's the only poor experience I've had here. My fiancé eats there so often they know his usual order. I've resorted to just eating Atom Bombs, because it's the only thing I'm really impressed with. I loved this place! I took my fiance there for our first date night back in March and it was our first time there. Our waitress was very attentive to us and was very helpful with helping us decide on what we wanted to order. She also bent over backwards for us and asked management if we could receive the chips for free as it was our first time there. The food was delicious I ordered the chicken tijuana burrito wet with no jalapenos as since I can't handle spicy food. My fiance ordered the mega chimichanga wet.
