Once we decided on the flooring the guys came round a couple of days later and started the job. Our dining area is quite large and they had to first of all lift the old laminate and lay the new wood, this was all completed within 2 days to a very high standard, they also cleaned up after them so no mess was left behind. The carpet was also laid in our lounge in this time also, again to a very high standard. We would definately reccommend Floor Coverings Intl to anybody looking for new floorings. Craig visited us at home to show us samples & give advice on suitability of coverings for our large space. At no time did he pressurise us into making a hasty decision. His quote was extremely competitive. We did not have long to wait for a date that was convenient to us. The work took 2 full days to complete, the first day lifting the old flooring & putting down a new underfloor. The guys were extremely neat & tidy workers, very polite, friendly & considerate. Although it was slow we were pleased with the finished result. We had more carpeting planned this year and returned to them again, but have been exertemely disappointed with the length of time (4months since paying in full- which is when the carpets have arrrived in the shop) to get carpets fitted as well as additional hidden payments (for plying floor prior to carpets being laid) added on at the last despite 5 visits by shop staff and fitters before agreeing quote. Would not recommend or use again.

Planned to do most of our new house using first floors, but later decided not to put all our eggs in one basket and see how they did with just kitchen and two bathrooms. Asked end of May if they could do the work before 18th June, which is when we would be on holiday. They said it would be a push but yes. Pencilled in 17th June. Ordered materials, paid deposit. To cut a long story short, we moved into our new house on 19th July with no kitchen or bathroom floors and no date given when the work could be done. We'd already paid for the materials so asked them to deliver so we could get our own fitters. They did, less some items we'd actually paid for (and they ignored my email to ask for an up to date invoice). My advice: visit their nice showroom, take some samples, choose what you like, then buy it online (it'll be cheaper) and find your own fitter - easy to do through mybuilder for example. Got the floor done nicely and quickly within 10 days around 15% cheaper than first floors' price. My analysis: giving them the benefit of the doubt, they're busy and can't cope with the business, so are messing around the lower value jobs (my job was around £1000 value). Without the benefit of the doubt, they are either incompetent in their admin or dishonest, or both.

I have used his service for years now in my old house and again her in my new address. The work is done to the highest of standards and saves you the hassle of trawling through shops. They take away your old flooring and clear everything up as they go. Can't recommend the guys enough.

this is a huge tile warehouse, it is in middlefield, just round the corner from b&q. they have a…read moremassive selection of wall and floor tiles in all sizes, in all colours and to suit every budget. the staff are helpful and dont mind helping with your calculations of how many tiles you will need. they have a section where they sell end of the line tiles, so if you only need a few (ie. for round the bath) then it's well worth a look, you will save a ton of money. they will tell you what other items you need too, like adhesive, grout, tile trim and what brands to buy too. i'll definitely be using them again, and recommend them.

This shop reminded me of the Edinburgh Bargain Store in Newington, however, this shop is smaller and seems to be struggling to modernise itself. Now, don't get me wrong, these kinds of shops are very handy to have in the city if you don't want to travel to a retail park to visit a Homebase or B & Q. However, just along Easter Road there is a B & Q, so you would most likely get what you need there than from this shop. With just looking at the window display you can tell this shop is stuck in time. It advertises that it sells Video Tapes and its windows are full of clutter that no one is really going to need to buy (Including that dodgy yellow coloured kettle). Not the best home ware shop I have been in to, there are many other similar shops which are better, but this shop is still a handy place to buy that odd item you need!
