Brought my favorite Franchi 12 ga automatic to have stock redone and a ventilated rib added. Picked up the gun and it looked great. Went shooting following week. After I fired the 1st shot, the 2nd shell jammed in receiver. First ever since I bought it new. I freed the shell and reloaded. 2nd shot, the stock split from the trigger guard assembly back up the grip and rib fell off because it was just epoxied on! Straight forward old school , just what l was looking for

Took my gun in to get my barrel nut tightened on my ar308 a few months back they said the could do it and called 3 days later for me to pick it up and that they couldn't do it. Roomate picked up my gun when I was at work and I hadn't looked at my gun since then. Until the other day when I wanted to take it somewhere else to get the barrel nut tightened on. I noticed a chip missing from my barrel nut and I didn't care much bcus It was going to be covered anyways. When I brought it to the other shop the guy put it into the vice block in front of me and loosened the barrel nut to make sure threads weren't messed up and noticed no lube had been put on my gun to get the nut tightened on. Upon further inspection he realized my barrel was wiggling in my upper and that tiller and Lanier had ruined my upper receiver with too much brute force bending where the barrel nipple fits into the upper. Also since no lube was used my barrel is stuck in my upper receiver. I painted this gun myself putting hours and days into it. I had a fluted 22in 308 barrel from faxon and had paid 150 for my upper. Im out hundreds of dollars and hours of hard work. Went in today to talk about it but there were other people there and im not the confrontational type. Thanks alot tiller and Lanier. I very disappointed with the gunsmithing here. I've brought in the same gun twice for the same issue. I was charged both times and issue was never resolved although I was told they fired the gun successfully and that it was fixed. I finally sent it back to the manufacturer for repair. Now it operates perfectly and repaired at no charge even though they said the gunsmith made the problem worse. read more
