My car was totaled on July 9 and it took State Farm over a week to assess and declare total loss. Eventually they sent a link for my banking information to transfer my equity via ACH, and when I completed that process I experienced glitching that appeared to change numbers around so I called them immediately suggesting there was some sort of hack. Long story short, my money was wired to the wrong account so State Farm lied to me for six days about not being able to trace it or call it back. Finally they called it back and agreed to overnight a paper check. That was also a lie. No check has been sent. State Farm agents told me to go shop for a replacement car the day after the accident, yet six different transactions have been canceled waiting for the payoff- the cars were sold. Each time my credit is checked my score decreases and I've burned five vacation days on the phone with them. Today I'm filing a police report for theft of property and contacting the media as a last resort. I'm a third generation State Farm customer and I've used them my whole life.
