I've come to learn that Tim Horton's can be INCREDIBLY unpredictable. Stopped here on our way home before leaving the state. We had good TH in Canada so figured we'd give the Michigan side a try. Reasons for two stars: 1. Thought the glazed waffle looked good. Took two bites and decided looks are deceiving. 2. Hash brown sticks? Cardboard and cold. Daughter said they tasted like dog biscuits. (I didn't ask her why she knows how dog biscuits taste.) 3. Coffee is a C+ and green tea is a B. 4. The cruller was ok. 5. Lack of non-meat options. Canada has them. Why doesn't Michigan?! 6. My husband and I would frequently visit Tim Hortons in Imlay City. Staff used to be great, service, and beverages. Now not only is the staff rude, the service is poor and every time we have gone the last two months our drinks are never right. I've gotten refreshers that are (no joke) nearly clear. When told to staff they say that's how it's made. Sorry, but I have never since they came out to receive them with barely flavor or even close to clear. The coffee lately is always old, and the ingredients asked to be put in are never there, but they sure can charge for those extras! It's a shame because we used to go a few times a week now its an easy pass on Tim Hortons. Whatever happened in this location the past couple months will hopefully be back to what it was. It was so nice to be able to have a coffee place in town. read more

I can only speak to the customer service we received this date through the drive through so that is why I will just say 4 stars. The young lady through the drive thru was very friendly and even apologetic that she didn't have a total right away for us until we pulled forward to the window, and the other young lady that brought our order to the window was also very friendly. As we ordered only bags of their ground coffee, I can't speak to the coffee or food as other reviewers have left. read more

We stopped here on the way back to Canada from Mackinaw city to get a quick coffee on our final stop before we start driving. The service is fast and the servers were friendly and smiling. The seating is pretty nice. The place is combined with Wendy's and offers free Wifi. The washrooms were nasty but it could have the person just left using them and the staff has not seen it yet to clean it... so I will give them benefit of the doubt. I used to think it was bad walking into this Tim Hortons, all you can smell is burnt bread, literally every time I would walk in, and they are usually out of hash browns. On the rare occasions in the past when they had them, they were cold and soggy. Now, the last time I went through drive and got home, everything was burnt, and tasted how the restaurant used to smell before Covid. Can you all get a competent manager, and staff that doesn't burn the bread? Until then, don't waste your money here! read more

Went there on January 30 and the young lady behind the counter ( by the time I am writing, I forgot her name), handled my somewhat complicated order flawlessly. She double checked the order and had a smile and was respectful the entire time. I use to frequent this establishment several times a week. I had to stop going there because of the poor service. They are more concerned of getting you through the line than they are of providing a friendly, accurate service. Twice this week I visited this place and my bagel was wrong both times. Today I requested butter only and received cream cheese and butter. The girl taking my order barely listened to me ordering and cut me off to ask if there was anything else I wanted. I have always enjoyed Tim Horton's. My favorite is the Hazelnut Ice Capp. I will usually have one just about everyday I'm in MI. Also they have the best hazelnut coffee. Way better than any Starbucks. I like this location as it's conveniently located right off I-69 and the service is super fast and friendly. read more

I am a hudge fan of made fresh expresso, and this is not it. I worked as a barista for some time and never did we have a machine where you press one button and hot coffee comes out like an foutain machine. Horrible coffee and there breakfast tasted like someone over microwaved it. read more

This Tim Horton's is the absolute worst. The service is terrible. The servers at the window cannot get the order right at all. Up to this point I would frequent this restaurant 3-4x a week. For about the past 3 months the restaurant has taken a drastic nose dive. Yesterday, I placed an order - they gave me coffee instead of hot chocolate that i ordered and the sandwiches that I ordered were tasteless and bland. Today I went there and ordered a croissant sandwich at 10:30am. I was told that they stop serving croissants at 11am and that they were out of crossants and they werent making any more. This is not the first time I have experienced this here. They are constantly out of the items that are requested It's not rocket science- if you're running out, you have to alot for more. I have finally given up and will not give any more of my business to these people. Life has taught me that the customer is always right. not the best service, rates far below other Tim Horton's w/in 30 mile radius. The Imlay City location over and again has poor quality of service/products. True: Toasted bagels are cold, with a glob of cream cheese. Also, the jelly donuts over and again have the "timbit" amount of jelly in them. Te last time I ordered these, I literally measured the amount of jelly in the donut and it was less than one measuring teaspoon. (Needless to say I called the manager as I had picked up donuts for a meeting and that was the quality that I paid for. All I got was an apology..). Anyway, over the past 5 years I have visited this location an average of once every two weeks (sometimes more) and have resorted to over the last couple of years only ordering beverages. CHicken salad sandwiches are full of fatty/grizzle chicken, donuts get thrown on top of eachother and stuck to one another or the bag. SO, I order my coffee in Imlay City and order food from the Lapeer or Port Huron/Fort Gratiot Michigan locations and honestly, sometimes they can't even get the coffee order right.
