The only bubble tea shop in town. I visited 4 times last week and every time was a great…read moreexperience. I highly recommend the spicy wonton soup - it is delicious (not very spicy) and it was FILLED to the brim with wontons - such a steal for $5.95+tax. I had all 3 cheese foam teas (5.75+tax) and my favourite would be the hazelnut vanilla as it was more flavourful than the ice wine, though also good; I didn't care for the pumpkin chai- it was too pumpkin-y for my liking and reminded me of Tim's pumpkin muffins. I had 4/7 regular milk teas ($4.95+tax): Long Island strawberry green tea, mango green tea, passion fruit green tea, Niagara peach green tea and all were good, if I had to pick favourites it would be the passion fruit or Niagara peach. Unlike all the other bubble tea shops I've been to the price includes 1 topping (ie. pearls or jelly); you can add another topping for $1, and there is only one size, which is about a medium compared to most chains - very reasonable pricing. They also sell various take-home tea leaves, paninis, pot pies, and breakfast items like bagels. Only 1 table for seating due to COVID. As an added plus, the owners are very nice.

I really wonder why people in business don't have some simple business etiquette such as greeting…read morecustomers with a "hello!" or "welcome, nice to see you!" No greeting at all when I walked in and also greeted with an attitude. Will I go back, probably not. Boba tea tasted good, pastry is a little old! Owner the mother, teach you and your daughter how to greet customers may Improve business!o

I go to the Kingsway location quite often, and I have been for months actually, but today I had an…read moreuncomfortable experience there, and that makes me want to avoid going in the future. I order food/drinks most of the time I hang out at Salute, and in the past, I've ordered as soon as I arrive, five minutes in, 30 minutes in, an hour in, etc. I've never had a problem. But today, I'd been sitting at a table for maybe 15 minutes when an employee came up to me and told me I had to order prior to sitting down. I was a bit shocked, and told her okay, but she didn't leave the table until I said I'd be over in a minute. She wasn't rude mind you, but it was a weird and it definitely made me uncomfortable, especially considering I saw her and another employee looking at me and whispering to each other before that. I've never had someone tell me when I have to order before, there or in any other coffee shop. I actually ended up leaving because it felt like I was being forced to order or I was unwelcome. I understand it's a business, but I do support them all the time and sometimes I like to take my time making a decision. I go to support local, and because the atmosphere is decent, even if everything is pretty expensive. But after today, I don't want to go anymore. Not sure if this was their individual decision, or if the managers/owners are asking employees to bug everyone to order as soon as they arrive. Either way, not cool.

I spend a ton of time visiting Sudbury and Salute on Armstrong is always my go-to for java and was…read moresuper excited to see the second location on the Kingsway because it's more central for my visits. I feel this second location has tremendous potential regardless of the competition surrounding this landmark- the old Deluxe. Too bad the classic Deluxe sign got removed because it's part of our history and if well designed, Salute could've still had a beautiful, dynamic sign of their own whilst keeping history alive....such a bummer. Cities / towns follow this protocol a lot but not good ol' Suds. :( Also, my pals say it's very difficult to interpret the hours of operation looking in from the hectic Kingsway-which makes sense. Being a slugging business owner myself, I would have a GIANT funky lit "open" sign (locally made) for the window...and, yes, it's costly and covid hit the restaurant industry hard..but you get my point..when the time is right. Regardless of how opinionated this post may be, I'm going to support this establishment no matter what because I love it but some folks may not and that would be unfortunate for everyone. Peace!
