Despite providing all requested documents on time, deadlines were missed and filings were either incorrect or never completed. What's worse, communication was evasive, dismissive, and unprofessional. When I asked direct questions or pushed for accountability, I was brushed off rather than given solutions. Instead of resolving problems, I was left to clean up their mistakes on my own. My credit card company has already had to intervene on charges I disputed because I was billed for services that were either never delivered or done improperly. It should never come to that with a licensed accounting firm. A CPA firm's job is to protect clients from financial harm, not create it. As a consumer, I strongly caution anyone considering Thornburg & Reilly CPA to think twice before trusting them with sensitive financial matters. Says that he can have me divorced and my last name fixed within 90 days but of course would like $1,250 upfront to get started smh!! This man is running a scam when it comes to certain races that call his office for help. If you're a person of color you need to run in the opposite direction. He thinks people are dumb and are not intelligent enough to catch on to what he is doing. Call started a minute late, i ended it at 40 minutes past and he spent the last 10 minutes explaining the different options to pay him and how bill pay on Wells Fargo works. I finally had to end the call abruptly explaining i can handle paying online...little did i realize he was charging me for every word that came out of his mouth. Had i been a typical polite person from South Carolina and not stopped his rambling this would have easily lasted one hour. In other words, he charged me $50 to tell me how to pay him. He is an example of why lawyers get a bad rap.
