Unfortunately, one of the people in the pro shop came out and chastised us for taking longer than the allotted time and backing up people behind us. Never mind that we were letting people play through. Needless to say, I refused to waste my money there on food and I will not go back. It's great to try to keep pace going, but if you alienate young players, who are going to be your customers in the future? I was so put off by the tone, I was ready to leave and blowoff the back nine. My kids wanted to keep playing. Unfortunately, once we started the back, my daughter decided she didn't want to get more people mad at her so she didn't want to play. I finally convinced her to at least drop a ball by the green so she could chip and putt. Not really how to help her improve her game. So many other courses around here that actually appreciate and support young players, no need to play Swanhills!

We never received drink refills, and the server did not check on us after the food arrived. - Food Quality: One of the orders was incorrect and remained uneaten. Overall, we found the food quality to be poor. - Accommodations: There was no children's menu available, which was unexpected. - Management: Although a manager was walking through the dining room, the lack of service and the issues at our table went unnoticed. - staff refused to walk over to ask how the food is, never refilled drinks. Waitress was missing the whole time We finally saw our server again only after another staff member had already cleared our plates and provided boxes. This place is over hyped.

Between the inattentive waitress and disappointing fish fry dinner, I doubt we will return. That said, the view is nice and so are the white tablecloths.

This course is great for beginners, there is zero water & no sand traps. It's decently long & pretty hilly (cart recommended) but very easy otherwise. Only 1 par 3's & it's 180 or 190 yds, so no gimme's. The only reason it's not a 5 for a beginner course is, the carts don't have GPS giving you a distance to the hole & the layout of the hole. There were 2 holes that doglegged left & I hit blind over a hill thinking the hole went right. The only direction we had was on our score card that showed the layout. If we're ever back we may try it again

Gail, at the front desk, was immediately correcting his English in the most unneeded ways. (For example, he asked for three "carts," and when she seemed to have no idea what "carts" was, he corrected "golf carts," to which Gail responded: "Yeah. It's called 'golf carts' not 'carts.'" She then proceeded to not allow the purchase of three carts, only two, even though she originally agreed. This was strange, as our group has never been denied the purchase of three carts before. Instead of talking us through her reasoning, she decided it would be better customer service to scream at another member of our group. Once we actually started golfing, another member of the team followed us through the course to occasionally drop by and leave demeaning, rude comments as if we had never golfed before. My boyfriend and I aren't from here (just visiting), so next time we're in town, we definitely won't be back. I can understand older people being mistrusting of younger adults, but being aggressive from the start when nothing had been done wrong is very immature and terrible customer service. I highly recommend you do not come here, especially if you are a young adult! Golfing is for everyone, no one should be discriminated against based on appearances.
