Being a large man and my previous Dr a smaller female helped as I am a full figured guy. Where my previous Dr lacked the strength and ability to adjust my displaced parts back into alignment, Dr Rhue made short work of it. While being forceful also not so much as to cause pain or discomfort. Just the right balance to help me experience a less painful daily routine. They also take almost any and all insurance programs and offer onsite massage as well as other services. What's so good about Active Family Chiropractic is what they don't do: Order LOTS of expensive X-rays, try to sell you heel lifts, foot inserts, belts, vitamins and other remedies, and tell you that you have to commit to a treatment "plan" of 4 visits per week for 4 weeks, then 3 for 3X etc. They simply fix your problem and have you leaving the office with a smile on your face. In my specific scenario I had been a gymnastics for many years. I have old injuries that I have to keep in alignment however in January 2017 something was seriously wrong with my foot. I tried to ignore it thinking it would get better, went my general practitioner medical doctor and the Podiatrist who completed an MRI on it. They said it was maybe arthritis (at 33!) and then suggested I get cortisone shots in my foot. I was taking heavy pain medication, trying special shoes. I even went to acupuncture! Nothing really worked. I changed my diet and cut back sugar which seemed to reduce the inflammation but still wasn't working. It was terrible as I've always been active and really couldn't even walk for long periods of time! Until I came to visit Dr. Vroom recommended by my friend Sarah on Monday. He completed an adjustment and suggested the laser so I tried it. Almost immediately the swelling reduced! My foot was still hurting that day but the next day it was better and by Wednesday it was like I hadn't had a problem for 11 months!! I had an issue with my sciatic nerve and hip. I went to…read moreanother chiropractor in town and got x-rays, foot scan and he made a treatment plan consisting of 36 visits, three times a week, for three months at the tune of $3700 (or I could pay for the whole plan up front for $2900 to save 30%). I received 3 sessions (consisting of an adjustment and then 20 minutes on a roller table with a TENs unit. There was a little relief but not much. I called Advanced Chiropractic and asked for a second opinion. Dr. Troy saw me the next day (thank you ) and reviewed my X-rays, foot scan and treatment plan. I explained to him how and when it started hurting and he knew right away what was causing my discomfort. It was piriformis syndrome and it should be able to be managed in 3-5 sessions. It took *one* session with icing and stretching. The session consisted of an adjustment, stretches and a good ten minutes of a massage gun on those muscles (thank you, Sam). It felt like a horse kicked me in the left glute the next couple days but with the stretches and icing, four days later, I can walk without the sciatic nerve yelling at me and without pain. Now I can get back to my exercise routine and walk my dogs again! Advantage Chiropractic and it's staff are pretty amazing! I'm very glad I chose them to get my second opinion with!

I had chiropractic treatments 25 years ago for sciatica in NH, and my leg pain symptoms after the accident felt similar. I want to highly recommend this clinic and all the staff who treated me. Dr. Chris Johnson, the chiropractor, is very skilled, sought to thoroughly understand my needs, was very clear in his explanations and helped me tremendously. His physical therapist, Kate, is gentle, knowledgeable and effective. I tried acupuncture for the first time ever, and David the acupuncturist explained everything very well, alleviating my concerns; while I am not scared of needles, I was a bit wary. The treatment was very relaxing, mostly pain-free and I'm very glad I tried it. Finally, I must applaud my massage therapist, Faren, who seemed to work miracles. She was so booked up that I didn't get to see her until later in my course of treatment, and this week, on only the second massage appointment with me, found the "trigger spot" in my hip that seemed to finish the elimination of my pain. After my recent session with her I felt so much better, I was able to walk my dog again for half-mile intervals, sleep through the night with no drugs, and generally feel very close to being fully healed. Faren is extremely skilled and I can see why her schedule is full! I believe it was likely the combination of all these therapies that helped me, and I absolutely value all of their coordinated efforts. I have stayed with them ever since, since 2006, because they are fantastic. Dr. Curt takes the time to answer your questions and give advice on taking care of yourself. There are no fancy gimmicks or gadgets or motorized tables here, it is all straightforward and effective personalized care. I have crawled in and walked out many times. Their massage therapists have always been skilled at working out the kinks, and I have been particularly appreciative of one of their current therapists, Rachel. When she's done working on whatever is broken and you then get an adjustment from Dr. Curt, you are healed! The staff is always happy to help and make arrangements for you, and I have even been able to make emergency appointments outside of business hours a couple of times, as Dr. Curt is always engaged in knowing his patients and being accessible. Also, his brother Brandon has his own chiropractic practice out of the same office, and they help each other out by taking care of each other's patients if you have an urgent need to be seen, making it easier for them to absorb unplanned visits when absolutely necessary. The office also has a fairly good line of naturopathic remedies and supplements available if that's your thing, but they never press you on buying any of it if that's not your thing.
