Yet, it somehow manages to pull all this off without being kitschy, probably because everything is real and much of it is signed by actual pilots! The bar is clearly a labour of love for the owner, who is friendly, though not effusive. The beer itself is well-poured, so no complaints on that score either. We got there right when they opened and stood at the side of the bar and ordered 2 different bottles of spirits. One was green apple and the other was lemon. After we drank the two bottles of alcohol that kind of taste like a sparkling limoncello that is made on site, poured out of tapped wine barrels we were happily woozy and that is when we ventured out for further exploration of this wonderful town.
