Normally, I don't spend a lot of time in noisy game arcades because I'm now a mother to a toddler. Of course in my youth, it was a different story. I was always attracted to the lights and noise. I love how it brings out the competitive spirit among friends with a friendly game of racing or air hockey. It builds concentration with those claw games where you get little toys. But when you have a kid, it's now all about toddler play places minus all the digitized games.
It was only by accident that we came upon Timezone in Greenbelt 5 and made a very interesting discovery. This particular branch has a soft play area for little kids! For only P100, they get to play for an hour inside and adults get in for free. Like most play areas for kids, socks are required. This is the cheapest, and strange enough, the safest play area I've found in Metro Manila. When they it's a soft area, they've covered every square inch with varying thickness of foam to ensure that there are no accidental bumps and bruises. While the area is pretty small, it can keep three very active toddlers busy. They have a climbing structure that tests the kids' agility this leads to a mezzanine area which has a slide into a ballpit. The construction is very well thought out. Our kids enjoyed it, we saved money and as parents, we felt that it was pretty safe for them to climb on their own and slide down so we can catch them. We're talking about two and three year-olds here, so we safety is our top priority.
Timezone did a really amazing job here and I am now a very loyal customer again. read more
