Great handyman! We had a long list and Tim does very good work. Fast and efficient. Reasonably priced. Tim has a busy business so my advice is to call in advance and get on the schedule. He is very creative in solving problems around the home. We have a dog and he loved to bite and gnaw our French door. We did not want a big gate and Tim devised a swing away gate that works very well. My dog is very disappointed and we are happy about that!! High recommendation for Tims Handyman. Tim is super nice guy. Was able to come out within the hour and he texts too. He is on time and very honest. He replaced a bunch of my electrical outlets and charged by hour. Replaced 6 outlets a little over an hour.. He was very honest and said some outlets didn't even need to be replaced, but I told him to do it anyways. Although it took longer than an hour to do the work, he just charged me for one hour. Cost was just $50! Will definitely be calling him back in the future. Tim is very honest and efficient. After having a slab leak, we needed someone to help replace the damaged drywall, cabinets, and fixtures in our bathroom. A friend recommended Bartwood Construction, and they gave us an estimate, but we were unimpressed. A quick search on Yelp and we found Tim. He came out and gave us a fair quote. We then had to wait for some special ordered items before having him back. On the day of the installation, he arrived on time, worked hard, and completed the job within budget. Very impressive. About a week after he was done, the painters finished up, and we had him come back to correct the placement of a light fixture. We were willing to pay him for this, but Tim moved it at No Charge! I have a front door that is sticking and needs to be readjusted or taken off and sanded down or replaced entirely. I don't really know, I need a professionals advice on this. I left Tim a message on a Monday morning. I mentioned that I had Friday off and asked if he could come out to give me his opinion. I have every other Friday off, so if nothing could be done that day we could we could schedule it for two weeks out. Tim called back in a few hours, explained he was booked that entire week, but if I texted him my information he would check his schedule and schedule me for the following week. I texted him my information, he he acknowledged receiving it. The following Monday (a week later) I texted Tim again if he was able to come out. Tim replied that he expected he would be on jury duty that week and might not be able to make it out after all but he will get back to me by the end of the day. At the end of the day he texted me telling me he'd be at my condo complex on Saturday and give it a look then. Saturday came and went...I got no text and my door remains unfixed. Honestly, I think that last text wasn't even meant for me. I would have preferred someone telling me they were booked for next few weeks out if my job wasn't worth it to him. I had a handful of tasks to do around my house: fix a sticking door, drywall large holes in the garage, texturize a bathroom, etc., and Tim did them with ease and a smile. Tim told me that he used to work for a general contractor for four years. He also tries anything on his own house before he does it on somebody else's. And he's incredibly honest. If he doesn't think he'll be able to do something, he'll let you know. He was at our house for nearly 4 hours, but he only charged us for 3.5. Quality work at a fair price.... Tim's honest, skilled, and reliable. I actually talked to him about some repairs that I wanted to do earlier in the year, but we had to hold off due to the rain. This time around, Tim and I spoke. I made a list of things that I hoped to get done and walked Tim around when he got here. Not long after, Tim had solived a bunch of things--hanging bikes in the garage, bathroom paint, outdoor lighting, loose kitchen light fixture, and loose ceramic tiles. I wanted to wait awhile before I wrote a review of Tim's work he did for me. After the initial excitement my wife and I had at having all these long-standing 'things to do' finally done, we looked at the actual work done. First off the good things about Tim. His prices are reasonable, he is on time, he seems honest and trustworthy, he communicates well answering emails within a day, and he was great at troubleshooting and fixing an unexpected electrical problem when replacing a receptacle in our bathroom. He definitely gets points for having the know-how to quickly fix this potentially dangerous problem!! I really wanted to be able to rate Tim's work as 5-star; but there were some things that plain didn't measure up to that standard. Had our kitchen cabinets painted and a bathroom. My wife found a number of areas missed. They were great at taping off everything and being very clean - but there were exposed areas of cabinet frame that were not painted; but some were painted. The paint job in the bathroom was fine. One of the last tasks he tackled was replacing veneer paneling in our entry. I don't know if it was due to not having enough time, or what. Bottom line is this: the cuts he did around the closet door and the paneling he put on the door were sloppy. As a result, the closet door does not open or close easily. Tim seems to be a real nice guy. Maybe I asked him to do more than could be done in 2 days. read more

Due to the good reviews on Yelp, I called Tim. He didn't answer, and I didn't leave a message. I figured I'd call back the next day. Well, even with no message and no request to call back, he apparently used caller ID and returned the call just before 10 pm waking us up. His message was that he was busy for the next few weeks and to call back if we needed him after that. What was so urgent that he needed to wake us up to tell us he wasn't available for a few weeks? Could that not have waited for a more appropriate time? And we didn't even leave a message requesting a call back or telling him what we needed or when we needed it. It was a waste of a message. Why couldn't he just leave this message on his answering machine? Or better yet, provide an e-mail address so he doesn't disturb people when he communicates after hours. With such poor telephone manners and lack of respect for strangers who called his number, we clearly won't be using him. Somehow I suspect some of his other manners are lacking too. read more

He took a look at my leaky faucet handle figured out the problem, told me where to buy the part and showed me how to put the part in and back together. We called Tim for help with a broken sliding cabinet for our trash. My husband had already taken it apart to look at it himself (he's pretty handy and can often fix many of our issues), but thought that the whole thing would need to be replaced. Tim had another job in our neighborhood on Monday (we called over the weekend) and agreed to stop by to take a look with no charge. He too tried to take it apart to fix it but came to the same conclusion as my husband. At that point, he told me what his rate would be to repair it (much cheaper hourly than others I had called) but suggested that it was a very easy job that my husband could probably handle himself. He told me where to get the parts, and took out the screws, showing me where it could be screwed back in. He left without charging us a dime for the consult or the time he spent trying to fix it. How refreshing to find a guy who will come out without charging you (many of the other 5 star reviewed guys on yelp were quoting me a $150 minimum just to show up at my door), take the time to try to fix it, not charge me for his efforts, and then talk us through how to do the job ourselves, hence talking himself out of paid work for the job. I finally needed a handyman. After countless years of apartment dwelling, home ownership reared one of its ugly heads (the part where I can't just call the apartment maintenance to fix problems). So far I have been lucky in figuring out how to do various things around the house. But I finally needed a handyman. I read the last review for Tim, which was a glowing one...and since I didn't know anyone else I asked him to help. He was great. He does have a 2 hour minimum but at $90 he is still a steal, not to mention his $45/hr rate after is the cheapest I have found out there. I called him for a bunch of little things and most of them he actually taught me how to do, so that I won't need his help in the future.
