My significant other and I saw a home listed on Zillow in Moorpark California. On the listing was an option to "request a tour" as a first time home buyer.. This seems like the natural thing to do if you're interested in viewing a home. After requesting the tourAn associate by the name of Kari Mangola that works under Tina hair and associates, contacted us to show us the home since she was local and lives nearby. Months later, we decided to purchase a home and use a real estate agent that better fit our needs. Mind you, we never moved forward in signing or going to the extent of making an offer through Kari. The week we moved into our house we were making a stroll through the local Costco to get some essentials for the new home. While in costco, we were aggressively approached by Kari Mangola and she began yelling and making a scene in the middle of an aisle, because we did not use her as our agent. She accused myself and my significant other of "wasting her time" because we used another agent that better suited our needs for purchasing our home. I was completely baffled in her response with the unprofessionalism. Kari proceeded the conversation in stating " I hope karma gets you in your line of work" was something again, that was completely disrespectful coming from the fact that I work in public safety as a first responder. It is completely unacceptable and I highly discourage anyone to use Kari Mangola. It is unfortunate because I have heard many good things about Tina Hare and associates. My recommendation would be to stand clear of Kari Mangola as your agent. Buying a home for the first time should be an exciting and happy time for any buyer. Just be aware, that if Kari Mangola is involved.. make sure you tread lightly, because she does not show her true colors in your first interaction. This is not a negative post towards Tina Hare and associates, but if Kari Mangola is your point of contact I highly suggest requesting a different associate to begin and process your transaction. After all of this, i'm sure glad I went with the path I though better fit our needs. Her behavior and lack of professionalism has proven my point in wanting to choose a different agent with starting this process. -------------- Response to comment below. Im sure Kari gave her fabricated side of the story. But so be it. Of course she wouldn't admit to what actually happened. Wouldn't look good for her. 1) That is a lie. The offer was not the same day. We were never even pre approved till days later. 2) The lack of professionalism to approach potential clients in a public place and start yelling and creating a scene is something I think is completely unacceptable. 3) When someone knows exactly what you do for a living and states "I don't know how Karma works in your line of work but I hope karma gets you" is a pretty broad statement. I agree with all of the reviews of Tina and her associates. Their warmth, friendliness, professionalism, personal touch, and attention to detail. That said, id like to give my perspective on why you want Tina Hare and associates to sell your home or find a home for you. I will give two personal examples of my experience. 1) We sold our home in Simi Valley and bought a new home in the Moorpark Highlands in 2014. I don't believe that we would have been able to purchase our new home if was not for Tina. The builder had a "no contingency rule" for new home sales. The purchase of our new home was definitely contingent on the selling of our current home. However, because of the number of years Tina has been in the business and the reputation she has they made an "exception" in my case because Tina told them she would have my house sold in a week.... Tina had the reputation and horsepower in the industry and absolutely made it possible for us to purchase our new home. She also had our house sold in the week, and it sold above the appraised comps in the area. 2) We sold my moms home last week in the Las Posas Estates area of Camarillo. It was a large ranch style home built back in the 70's. It was a home that needed, in my opinion to be updated and a bit of a face lift. Mom wanted to sell the house "as is".... Because of Tina's vast network she was able to surgically pinpoint potential buyers. Mom's house sold "as is" for full asking price. The support and personal attentiveness to my mother provided by her and her associates went way above and beyond what I would expect from a relator.... She had shared her thoughts on where she believed the market may be going and took interest in my personal situation. I told her about my plans to sell my home in a year or so due to my son going off to college.
