Tinseltown

As far as movie theaters go, this is one o the best. There are very few options in Erie for movie theaters... but this one is new, clean and very state-of-the-art. Tinseltown has pizza and real food to dine on... in addition to the overly-salty and buttery popcorn and normal movie foods. My favorite is a large Coke slushy (or whatever they call it) which can last me a while during a movie. There's an arcade inside too... in case you arrive early, or (if I was still 15) need to wait to catch a ride!! Whenever I go back to Erie, and plan to see a movie, no doubt we'll be back for Tinseltown.

Honestly, looks great in photos but doesn't capture how crazy expensive everything is once you get in there. The $30 per person charge on a Friday night only covered us entering. Then we were greeted by swarms of screaming children with parents sitting back just letting their kids run into whatever. The hot coco was $4 and the fried which were the equivalent of simple waffle fries with nothing on them were $8. Everything inside cost extra the photos with Santa and ice skating were overcrowded. Would have been better if not so many kids they need to do better about regulating the crowd and offering better prices for hot water and chocolate powder

There is no sign on Peach street telling you this place exists--very odd. It has a whopping 17 screens. Went here on a Saturday evening at 7:00am and admission was just over $9. The place wasn't that busy. The prices for the popcorn and drinks are a little outrageous, but I guess that's typical. The bathrooms were clean. The theatre screen they put us in was small. Audio was so so. There were 20 minutes of trailers before the 90 minute movie started--that's a bit much.

Would recommend. This place is really cool. Fair price for snacks and drinks. Watched Sonic 3 a couple days ago. Purely delightful staff

The staff is always friendly. But concessions are very expensive and the inside is very dated.

Nice theater, little out of date and the tickets are a bit expensive. Snack bar is overpriced.

Erie Movie House - Lobby/theater

Erie Movie House

Whether it's for a private screening of your favorite movies, hosting a birthday party, or even a…read more DEATH METAL SHOW, the Erie Movie House can't be beat. Craig and Nicole are very accommodating to any needs you may have, and they have a full snack bar as well as offer free popcorn (and they have every flavor shaker you could think of, and many I'm sure you've never seen). The smaller 30-person theatre area is perfect for a more intimate event like the debut of a locally made movie, or an acoustic performance. The seats are VERY comfortable and I'm almost ashamed to admit having to fight to stay awake more than once due to overcomfort hahaha. They also offer VR Gameplay on their top-of-the-line gaming laptop, and bolster an impressive inventory of games. Other than the VR and the theatre area, Erie Movie House also has an air hockey table, loads of arcade cabinets, many of which have TONS of game choices, an area where they have a super comfy couch, and an NES, SNES, SEGA, ATARI, and more; all with cartridge ROMs of every existing title. They made wall art with the cable management going from the consoles to the very large flat display tv, and even have a working (free) payphone! Classic malt-shop style jukebox for some tunes, fun gimmicky Addams Family electric grip thing which makes your hands all tingly... but my favorite thing is PINBALL. Not only do they have several classic pinball machines, they have a DIGITAL pinball machine that has literally almost EVERY pinball machine ever made on its hard drive. And you might be thinking that it wouldn't match up to the real thing, but it is SLICK. They pretty much have to pry me off of it every time I'm there. We hosted my daughters 13th birthday party there, and it was very reasonably priced, and Craig and Nicole actually even opened an hour earlier for us (due to my mixup: I scheduled 6pm and the invites said 5). Would definitely host another party there, the kids had a blast and I did too! I have also hosted metal concerts with them, and they're wonderful with promotion, and always make sure that each band is paid for their performances. Top notch people own and operate this place. And if your event is 21+ there is even a liquor store next door! Highly Reccomend, obviously.

Update: I booked a room that offered extra points for a nominal fee. I never received my extra…read morepoints. Here we are 3 weeks later and I am still having to argue with this hotel and corporate Marriott about getting the points I PAID for. Their customer service is horrible and because of this I would never stay here again. Don't offer bonus points for a fee if you aren't going to honor it! This was my first time staying at this hotel and I really liked it. The staff were very friendly during checkin and checkout. I was able to use mobile checkin which was nice. The room was nicely updated and the bed was the shining star! So comfortable! The pillows were good too, but I brought my own as well. The room was clean and had a pretty view of the marina! The bathroom was nice, but very small. It was a bit awkward trying to get in and out of the shower without getting water everywhere since it was open on the end and the sides. Also there was only enough space for 1 person to get ready or have stuff on the counter. Refrigerator in the room was nice, but disappointed there was no microwave. I had access to the club lounge which was very meh compared to Hilton lounges. It was nice to have free breakfast and there were decent options. The afternoon snacks were a nice touch although they were limited and did not fit my dietary restrictions (gluten free). Coffee was Starbucks so that was nice. The gym was large and has a very pretty view overlooking the lake! On site restaurant/ bar was decent. Again very limited gluten free options. But the salmon was good.

We stopped here for a 1 night getaway. I did not get…read morepictures of the room (oopsie). But, staff was friendly. The room was a nice size with a nicely done bathroom. Plenty of lighting and charging ports/ outlets. Overall, the bed was comfortable but the pillows were too soft for me. We felt the lounge or club room was too small. They did not refill the drinks throughout the day. Also, the coffee in the lounge was not good. I did enjoy the charcuterie options though. We would definitely stay again
