I sent a message through their online form inquiring about window tint prices for my vehicle. Jen, the owner, responded with a text promptly providing pricing for different types and asked me to come in to see options or schedule an appointment. I stopped in last Saturday to see the options available and discuss the process and make an appointment. The gentleman working was very knowledgeable and patient with each question I asked regarding tint and the process. He had a few samples I was able to take out and place on the windows of my car to get an idea of the darkness of the tint. I ended up deciding to do a darker rear window and back 2 windows, which were tinted at 20% with the Supreme package (retail $399.99). I scheduled my appointment for this morning (Tuesday) at 8 am with a pick-up time of 2 pm. I was told that I could drop the vehicle off at any time before the appointment and use the key drop box located in the back of the building. Once I dropped off my car, I needed to sign a waiver electronically from the emailed estimate. A $50 deposit was required at appointment scheduling, which came off the total bill. This morning, I dropped my car off at about 4:25 am due to my work schedule. I parked in the back of the building by their garage doors and left my key in the drop box. As my fiancé and I left for work in his truck, I signed the waiver. At about 8:50, I received a call from Jen asking if I was going to make my appointment time and I said I had already dropped the vehicle off in the back this morning. She informed me that she hadn't looked and went to check and found it where had left it. After work, my fiancé took me back to the shop to pick up my vehicle. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite done yet. Jen apologized for missing the note on my appointment card stating the pickup time of 2 pm and felt bad for the inconvenience. She said it would take about another 2 hours to complete and that she would make it right. My fiance and I had prior commitments, which is why we needed that pick-up time. We made the best of the situation and did what we could and came back at about 3:45 pm. They were just finishing up the back window and I waited for the vehicle for about another 15 - 20 minutes. During that time I chatted with Jen and loved on their shop pup, Jayla. The results of the tint look amazing; at least from what I could tell due to the very gloomy and rainy day we had been experiencing all day. I will take photos of the tint in the sun when I have a chance. If you're interested in window tint, give these guys a call. You'll love the work that's done. They provide many more aftermarket services for your vehicle too. Prior to paying we discussed general care, and things to avoid; I was told to give it 30 days to fully cure and to contact them if bubbles were visible after this time. Jen was true to her word and provided a discount due to the wait and missing the note about the pick-up time. I feel like the customer service here went above and beyond to make it right, which is why I wanted to share my experience. I'm just happy to see a company and its owners that value their customers' time and tries to make things right without a hassle. This quality is very rare now, and even though there was a scheduling mishap, which understandably happens, Jen did everything in her power to make it up to me and I was satisfied with her efforts. I can't wait to look into other options and packages they have. I will be back!

I had my 2024 Golf R tinted today at Tint World in Urbandale, they did a fantastic job. For those who have a VW Golf, you probably know how hard it is to tint the windows on these cars - many places turned me away, or wouldn't do the back window at all, because the windows are smaller in size and hard to get tint properly placed on them. Although they were unable to do the windshield, due to the difficulty and specialty tools involved, they were able to do all side windows and back window and it looks fantastic, I would highly recommend. They were prompt and professional, 10/10 service and communication. read more

Well I came here to get my windows tinted and couldn't make it past the first interaction with an employee working there because of how rude they were. I went online to setup an appointment and it told me to call. I called and it took me through the steps to confirm my appointment. I go into their store at the time my appointment was and told this red headed guy I was there a little early for my appointment and he just looked at me and said there are no appointments today. I replied that I went online and called and it said I was confirmed and he repeated there is no appointment. Then after looking on his computer he said I was on some waitlist to be called and that I don't have an appointment and laughed at me as if I am familiar with their scheduling process. He then asked seemingly annoyed what I'm looking to get tinted on my car and rudely said well we don't have anything for scheduling today and that he'll need to get me scheduled. I was done at that point and told him I'll just call and he laughed at me again. In actuality I will not be calling them back and will be taking my money elsewhere. Do you train your employees to laugh at customers and be rude? Also do you train your employees to not offer options or to not say things like, "oh I'm sorry about the scheduling issue you experienced. Let me get you scheduled right away." This guy in front is a joke and needs to not be interacting with customers. read more

I've been promising my husband the gift of tinted windows for some time. I let him do the research and find out exactly what he wanted and where. He had heard good things about this location. He sent an email out for a quote. He had good communication on the email and got a time set up. He got a confirmation of a time and scheduled to do the drop off. One small hiccup was that he got a second email not long after. The email came from a different individual trying to confirm the same information, and he thought it was a scam. He didn't answer the 2nd email because he had already confirmed everything through the initial emails and thought it was spam. He went to drop off the vehicle, and they had canceled his original appointment because he didn't answer that second email. Luckily, the gentleman behind the counter was great. He was able to get him in right around the same time frame, and we had no major problems. The husband discussed all the options, picked out what he wanted, and got it ordered. He was able to share options with my husband there in the store. He picked out the 15% in the back and 70% on the front. They let us know that they were only a couple of days out. That still worked fine for us. We got the call a couple of days later, and it was like taking a kid to the candy store. Hubby was so excited to see the tint on his car. He had been wanting this since he got the car. We got to meet Jen and the shop pup Jayla, who startled me when I walked in this time, but was happy for the pup love while we finished up paying. It ended up being about $540.00, which is what we budgeted for. Hubby had a coupon, but it was expired, but that's okay. They walked him through what he should and should not do for a certain amount of time. He still loves it. Thank you for everything. read more

I recently had the good fortune of doing business with Tint World. After having a new battery installed, my remote start wouldn't work. There were a couple businesses listed online in Urbandale that sold the brand I have. I called the first business, and she asked if I purchased it there. After saying no I had it installed at a dealership in Minnesota she said she couldn't help. Unbelievable! People move around and purchase vehicles from many different states. The great service with Tint World started immediately when Jennifer answered the phone. She was friendly, helpful, and immediately gave me a time to stop by the next morning. Had a great friendly experience at tint world Urbandale Ia. location. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The owner explained the difference between the tint options that they had that I never knew about tint before, she was very informative. Matt the guy who was working the front desk very helpful, professional and friendly as well. My tint job on the family van turned out great! The tinting staff they have there is very skilled. I was really impressed with the outcome and that's not easy usually. I will never go anywhere else again but to tint world for tint. This place has everything. It really is a 1 stop shop. They have car alarms, remote starts, car audio, wheels and so much more. I was looking through one of their catalogs they have out I was really surprised to see all the stuff that they can do it's really exciting to have a shop like this in Iowa. read more

I had a remote start installed. They worked with me to figure out which package would work best for me and then got me in quick for the install. I did have a problem that cropped up but I stopped by and explained it. They got me in very quickly and resolved the issue completely. I'm very happy with the product and the service. Sometimes problems come up but it's how they're dealt with that's important. They did a wonderful job. I love this place! I come back every payday. I've been lucky so far and everything I've wanted done they could do on the spot. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable in their craft. When I couldn't find a hood deflector that I liked they made me one out of a vinyl wrap and it's awesome! Totally recommend this place. I'll be back for many more accessories. read more
