Since it was my first time tinting my car in Oakley, I wanted to make sure I picked the right place, and booking an appointment with them was quick and easy. The location was also close to home, which made the process even more convenient. When I arrived, the shop was clean, neatly organized, and thoughtfully decorated. I especially liked the billboard displaying different wrap colors--it gave the place a professional and creative feel. The staff member who helped me walked me through the different tint options available. Even though I had already decided on the basic tint, which I had requested a quote for on Yelp, he continued to push some of the higher-end options. While I understand he was doing his job, it felt a bit unnecessary, and once I stuck to my choice, his enthusiasm seemed to fade. I asked a few more questions, but his responses were minimal, which left me feeling slightly brushed off. The tinting process was estimated to take most of the day, which I didn't mind, as I was planning to pick up the car before closing. However, I never received a call letting me know the car was ready, so I had to reach out to the store myself. Despite that communication issue, the actual tint work was excellent. Came in for a tint and they did a decent job, but I noticed an accessory on my keychain was missing. They said they looked everywhere and couldn't find it so I made them check again and it still wasn't there. I had to make them check again for the third time until they finally found it. They kept blaming the clip for my key the accessory is bigger than the car key fob itself. Instead of apologizing, they continued to put the blame on me for leaving it on there, doubting it even existed, and saying it was easy to come off the clip instead of taking responsibility. The lack of accountability and the poor tracking of my belongings when it was entrusted to them was disappointing. Was quoted pricing and decided to go with the XPEL XR Black ceramic film 5% around entire vehicle & 45% on windshield. I was able to get truck in next day due to a cancellation. Brought vehicle in; tint types were explained again and they have a display box to help you decided on which tint film to go with. The tint I chose states 86% heat resistant and it does make a huge difference when it's 100 degree weather outside as my other vehicle had yet to be tinted. I would highly recommend the windshield tint as it is definitely easier on the eyes when tinted as well as gives entire car a tinted sleek look. I originally took my car to Tintix two years ago, immediately after purchase. Their team was super helpful and did complete PPF clear wrap, tint and ceramic coating job on my car in a few days. They were kind enought to point out a high number of panel gaps and misalignments (thank you Tesla!) for future correction. The resulting work was outstanding and to this day, the gloss and shine still looks great. Living with the coating and the tint has been great. It took a few tries to find the right products to work well with the 3M Ceramic, finally setting on the P&S product line. The car doesn't sit outside much, but when it does, the tint does a great job of keeping the car quite cool. Overall, we're very happy with the service we received and continue to recieve. I inquired about tinting from several places around the area. I received some cheaper quotes, but decided to go with this business due to the follow up from Joe and Omar. I was quoted $480 out the door using the XR tint so I decided to move forward. The scheduling process was very easy and the business offered service on Sundays. I made an appointment and was taken care of by Jordan. Jordan inspected my car and mentioned that the removal of the tent will cost more than the quote. I paid $707 total ($740 w tip) which is $227 above the $480 out the door quote. I didn't expect the removal charge to be a significant amount. I would've re considered a different business if the amount was disclosed during our quoting process. However, my interactions with Joe and Omar was pleasant and I gave my business to them. When I picked up the car the engine light was on but was reset by Sam. Jordan mentioned the bubbles will go away after three days. After waiting a few weeks, I noticed that the bubbles had not gone away, including a hairline. I called Tintix and they honored the warranty. I made an appointment for 12 PM and I was told that it would take a couple hours to get done. I returned at 2:20 and the car was not started yet so I sat in their massage chair for 10 minutes until they took the to work on it. They were able to complete the back window in 30 minutes. I was out of there by 3:10pm. Overall, I'm ranking Tintix three stars. Great customer service amazing follow up. Pricing is above competitors but utilizes great quality tint which I've noticed during the hot weather. The experience of going back-and-forth is what prevented me from giving them a five. I still have my Toyota RAV4 to tint and deciding to give them another shot or try another business. read more
