Hi there folks. I am here to give a review of my experience with a local daycare. My daughter has…read moresensory perception disorder. Which means that my daughter can be easily overwhelmed with outside stimulus and can require extra care and patience to work through things. We have made every attempt to communicate this with the AHA Daycare staff and the majority of them have been absolutely accommodating. However, the director who has been involved in childcare since day one has not been following the recommended program by a behavior specialist regarding my daughter's issues. This woman has been simply putting my daughter in a room to have her "temper tantrums" because she didn't like a three year old screaming. She has stated that my daughter "has no empathy" in regards to her outbursts. Furthermore, she has been informed that this is not an appropriate way to deal with my child but she continued to deal with her outbursts in this manner. The other day when I went to pick my daughter up I saw how this director Toni Petch handled my daughter on a daily basis. I walked up to the gate to the outside play area and could hear my daughter screaming and making a bunch of noise. She was obviously having a problem with something. Toni came towards my daughter and yelled at her to "stop it". My daughter became even more upset and began screaming even more. Toni then picked up my daughter and held her with my daughter hanging over Toni's arm screaming. I watched her walk away and my daughter hanging from Toni's arm facing me and began screaming for her father when she saw me. I opened the gate and watched Toni sit down with my daughter at the picnic table in their playground and restrain her by placing her arms around my daughter in a hug not letting her move. I then walked up to Toni and told her that "you know, it doesn't help her when you react like that to her outbursts". What followed next was absolutely unexpected. This woman began yelling at me about how my daughter was absolutely unmanageable and how this daycare had done everything they could to accommodate my daughter. I had kept a calm demeanor this entire time even after seeing how this person had basically manhandled my daughter during one of her outbursts. I encourage any of you looking to this place for childcare with a kid that requires extra care or following a behavior plan to consider somewhere else. I've already reported this daycare to the state and I will be leaving this review on every single avenue that I can. Not only did this person handle my daughter in an inappropriate way, this daycare neglected to tell myself or my wife about issues that involved my daughter. We never got a report at the end of the day about how my daughter had behaved until we heard about how my daughter had bit someone's kid. Apparently my daughter had been doing that for a while and they didn't even tell us about the first time! I am beyond appalled with this daycare and I regret ever bringing her there. The way that the director handled me telling her to not manhandle my child was ridiculous, and the fact that I had to stand there and get yelled at for calling her out on it was even more ridiculous. This daycare has been reported to the state and I have made an effort to make sure that the state knows that this Toni has been an absolutely terrible caregiver. Especially because she has done the exact opposite of what she has been told needed to happen to help my daughter process things. I would never recommend this place

My Daughter has been going here for over 3 years and loves it! She is familiar with all the…read moreteachers and all the kids. I can tell that at the end of the day, she is happy and well taken care of. All the staff know my daughters name and make a effort to say hi to her each time they see her (She is friendly with all staff and enjoys their company). My daughter is now is the preschool program with them and has learned SO much in the last few months that she made the transition. It has been just a joy watching her learn and explore new things. If there are any issues they have always been address right away and I've always felt heard, which I think its very important in a child care center.

Every time we drive by, they point it out and share a memory they have. It is really sweet to listen to their conversation! First, they were super accommodating when we needed part-time during the day. My oldest went to another pre-school in the morning and then Child's life in the afternoon. He came at nap time but they were great greeting him and then, giving him a space to transition. It was really great to have this smooth transition because we did it on a lunch break. My youngest is my shy one and had always had a hard time leaving me but when we arrived each morning, they always said his name and gave him a variety of choices. I honestly felt like they cared! The staff was great! If asked, they shared my boy's day and I always received art work to take home, which is fun to see when you are away from your babies all day! Also, I am a teacher myself so I think I automatically wanted to connect with the staff and they appreciated it. Elaine, the director, was always thinking of ways to improve the preschool and reaching out for resources. This was amazing because it showed she truly cared about the kids. I guess I am writing this review because A Child's Life has a special place in our family's heart. My boys are still in contact with friends they made and when we see a past teacher out and about, they come talk to us. Thank you A Child's life!

When we got the call from Blossom to come tour we were excited. Our son has been enrolled since the fall and we couldn't be happier with the staff and facility. Our son used to cry before school and now he is so happy. Every staff member we have had the pleasure to interact with clearly loves and wants the best for each child. I have no thoughts or worries about leaving our son each day.

Other places smelled of cigarette smoke, had toys piled in the corner about to collapse on the kids and fed potato chips to the kids in front of me ( not even trying to fake healthy). Leah gave the kids blueberries. Her place of business was clean. She was relaxed and always happy to see the kids. She didn't mind that for about the first month I stayed for about 45 minutes before I left my daughter (Im sure my daughter would have been fine if I left her but I wouldn't be ). My daughter went to her for 3.5 years and I think Leah only missed one unscheduled day due to an illness. She was very reliable. Her guidelines are clear and concise in writing so there are no surprises or misunderstandings which I really appreciated. My daughter never wanted to leave at the end of the day. I always took that as a good sign. My daughter hasn't gone to Leah's for a few years but we ran into her at Haggens and she was so excited to see my daughter. She talked to her for like ten minutes. She loves those kids and her job. I highly recommend Leah's Place Childcare.

My son was going to be enrolled once he was 8 weeks old, and I knew right off that a center wasn't where I wanted to take him. But I couldn't find any in home childcare facilities that I was comfortable with. I decided to look closer to my work and came across Leah's Place Childcare. We went to visit when my son was 5 weeks old. We went during her business hours so that we could see what the atmosphere was like when kids were there. Being that I was a first time mom and that my son was going to be very young when I enrolled him made me very nervous. But the minute I met Leah I knew we had found our childcare. The minute we walked in we were greeted with happy, excited kids. The first thing Leah did was remind the kids that they could look at my son, but no touching allowed since he was a baby. Then she promptly asked if she could hold him. As simple as this sounds, she was the first person to even acknowledge my son when we went for a visit. Everyone else just ignored him and went about their business. We stayed for about an hour and Leah was more than willing to answer all my questions. I felt very at ease when I left knowing that my son would be in good hands. When he started there Leah was wonderful. She didn't mind me calling 2 or 3 times a day just to check in and see how my son was. She also kept track of when and how much he ate, when she changed diapers, and whether they were wet or dirty. We have know been with Leah for 6 1/2 years, first with our son who was there until he started Kindergarten, and now she cares for our daughter who has also been there since 8 weeks old. I would not trust anyone else with my kids. Leah has a beautiful childcare area that gives the kids lots of room to play and learn. She does Preschool activities with all of them, and they are always doing arts and crafts. I would recommend Leah to anyone. She has become more like an aunt than a provider to my kids. We absolutely love her!

My son barely spoke before he went to the Daycare and now at just 3 and a half years old he is writing his whole alphabet, his name and some 3 letter words. He can also write quite a few numbers and can count to 120. He has also recently began to read Level 1 books. Neeru has worked miracles with my boy and I am so impressed with the care and attention he has received. All the children are so happy every time we pick him up and are clearly having the time of their lives! Neeru has been a God-send to us and I can honestly say we care about her as if she was part of our family. Her care and careful attention for all the children at her daycare has really helped each child improve on everything from speech to fine motor skills. The lessons my son has learned from Neeru are ones that he will have with him for the rest of his life, and we are so thankful to have found Newlook Daycare.
