I have looked in there several times for shoes for my whole family, but they rarely have anything to tempt me. They are nice shoes, but the quality is just not good enough for the price they charge. Their sales are laughable, just £1 or £2 off a £40 pair of boots isnt enough. Better shops around I'm afraid, I can see this store being one of the victims of the credit crunch.

Clarks sell great shoes. They fit well and the last well. Both my children have always had Clarks…read moreshoes and they have always outgrown them before they have worn out. I wouldnt let my youngest wear her older sisters castoffs as I dont believe its good for their feet, but they would easily last both the children if I did pass them on. The only problem is the price, which is far too high for childrens shoes. I dont mind expensive on adults as at least you know that your feet arent going to change size and you will be able to wear them for years., but with little ones, their feet grow so quickly that it really is taking advantage of their parents. The staff in this shop are nice, but at the weekend you do get the impression that they really arent too sure what they are doing!
