I contacted Tivols in KC to purchase a replacement strap for my Panerai PAM0 1085. I was disappointed to learn that Sarah whom I purchased my timepiece was no longer available at this location. After my purchase from Sarah at Tivols, she would followup with me concerning my satisfaction of my purchase of the Panerai brand timepiece. Sarah would send Christmas cards etc. When I needed another strap, Sarah was expedient with my order. Tivols losing a quality saleswoman was both their loss and mine. Being that said I called and spoke with a saleswoman Susan on June 19th of 2026 and ordered an Alligator strap for my Panerai PAM01085 24/22 Blue and was told that she would call me back in 3-5 days when my new strap was estimated to arrive. Susan has not contacted me about my Panerai strap, almost a month later, so I decided to go to the Panerai.com website and I could purchase it today, free shipping and have it by 7/15/26 . It seems odd that I can order a strap and receive it in days, but order one from Susan at Tivols in KC and never hear back from her? I am going to order my strap directly from Panerai and not waste my time with Tivols in Kc. I have spent thousands of dollars at that location while working with a sales woman who cared about her customers that being Sarah, and now dealing with Tivols sales woman Susan who apparently doesn't share the same qualities about taking care of her customers, and representing Tivols in a positive manner. Its a shame after dealing with a qualities sales woman being Sarah and now dealing with a woman that has tarnished my view of a wonderful jewelery store with rich history. I called Tivol to ask whether they'd service a watch in my collection. The person on the phone said they would. I told her it was a brand they don't sell and that I purchased it from a different retailer. No problem, she said. Bring it in and the watchmaker would evaluate it. I took time off work and came in 20 minutes later. Showed the person behind the counter the watches I wanted serviced (I brought a second one with me - why not kill two birds with one stone?). She briefly looked at them and told me that since I didn't purchase the watches from them that they'd recommend going to a different watchmaker in Overland Park. Never got to talk to a watchmaker. Could've told me that on the phone. I'm in the market for a new watch to mark a recent promotion. Meierotto has the brand I'm looking for (so does Tivol). Guess who's getting my business. read more

I had the best experience shopping at TIVOL with Percy and Christopher. My boyfriend and I came in wanting to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and Percy helped me pick out the most beautiful pair of earrings, and Christopher helped my boyfriend, Ruben, look at Rolex watches. From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted with warm smiles from all staff members. When I told Percy I was looking for earrings, she listened to my preferences -- gold, an every day earring, hoops --and helped me choose the most perfect pair of earrings that matched my style. (I'm so obsessed with them, I haven't taken them off since I got them.) Her recommendations for me were spot on -- so spot on, in fact, that I had a hard time narrowing down my earring selection to just one. Christopher helped my boyfriend, Ruben, look at Rolex watches -- and even took the time to show him some other watches similar in style and aesthetics to the one Ruben was interested in. It was clear that Christopher had a vast knowledge of watches, and Rolexes specifically. I am a huge Tivol fan. My wedding rings and a couple of other jewelry pieces have come from the Plaza location and I really love shopping with them. It's an upscale, luxurious experience, without the snooty and pretentious attitudes some jewelry stores have. I popped in on a very rare shopping spree a couple of weekends ago, and also stopped by a larger national jewelry retailer on the Plaza, but ended up buying a piece from Tivol that I love. The customer service is amazing. I was wearing gym clothes and a fanny pack, and was treated with the same customer service level as if I were wearing a blazer with a blowout. Feeling welcome is important when you're going to spend $1000k + at a store. Everyone who works there is so kind and they remembered me from my last visit in 2018! I love all of their options and appreciate the wide price range. It's my favorite place to splurge and have had great experiences. I highly recommend Tivol on the plaza. read more

Talked them on on the phone about a Rolex watch cleaning and refurbish. Quoted base price and timing. Went in the next day and was told higher base price and at least 12 weeks instead of the original 8-10 quoted. (Not even looking at the watch yet) The entire exchange made me feel as though they were doing me a favor. Made the longer drive to Meierottos who went over everything thoroughly even though I walked in 1 min before closing and were very friendly. Delivery in 1/2 the time and a lower base price. Both are authorized Rolex service dealers but much better experience at Meierottos. read more

My partner and I were on vacation, I wanted to surprise them with a special ring. We were walking by the store when we saw a police officer at the entrance and I wondered why. As we continued to walk, I saw Rolex watches displayed on the window. I put two and two together and I figured why the officer was there. I told my partner I wanted to go in, see the Rolexes because I had never seen one in person and I I'd like to see one, plus I could probably find my gift for them. When we entered the establishment, we were greeted by the receptionist lady who had a very square face. We greeted back. My partner and I went back to the watches that were display only. We started looking and talking about them. We were then were approached by the reception lady and asked if we were doing okay, if we needed help. We replied with 'We're doing fine, just looking around, thank you'. She said if we needed anything, to let her know. We thanked her, turned away and continued walking around. for some reason I immediately felt uncomfortable and felt as if we didn't belong in that establishment, like it was too out of our pay cut. I noticed she had followed us but I had thought she was heading back to the front desk, so I paid no mind to it. we continue to walk around and I had noticed that she was kind of lingering behind us, still, I didn't pay too much attention to it. After walking around for five minutes, my partner had seen that they had lemon water and proceeded to serve themselves a drink and quenches their thirst. I wanted to give them privacy, so I turned around to leave their side and that's when I noticed the lady semi hiding behind the store pillar, intensely staring at us with a menacing look. I was instantly disgusted at how she was watching us so much so that I wanted to leave, I didn't want to be in there anymore. I felt gross. I went to my partner and told them 'the lady is just staring us down. I wanna leave I don't feel comfortable here anymore.' We turned around and she continue to give us the same intense, dirty look, we headed for the front and for some reason this woman walked less than 5 feet behind us and followed us all the way out to the store. Why she did this, I do not know, but never in my life have I ever felt so uncomfortable/discriminated in the jewelry store. I feel it was racially motivated. My partner and I were the only Latinos in during that time amongst 15 other people (all Caucasian) and we were the only ones she did this to. Tivol, if this is how you treat your guests, especially when your store was founded by an immigrant individual, I am disgusted. read more

As I'm typing this, I can't help but stare at the incredible ring on my left ring finger. Yes, digital world, I am engaged, and I pretty much have to pinch myself daily because I am so happy. My now fiancé and I visited KC for Valentine's Day weekend this year, and stayed with two of our dear friends. Cait thankfully coaxed me out of my fears, and walked in and were immediately welcomed by the Tivol staff. Ward helped us and let me try on a range of rings, providing insight, and sharing stories and information about their diamonds and rings. It was such a wonderful, pressure-free experience, and I was so grateful for how attentive he was despite knowing we were not making a purchase that day, AND there was a strong chance that Jonas wouldn't even buy a ring there once he was ready (since we live in CO). After an hour and a half there, we finally parted ways with plenty of insight and ideas, plus Ward's business card in case I ever had any questions. It was wonderful. Fast-forward a few months, and Jonas pops the question in the most incredible way on my birthday. It turns out that he and Cait sneakily planned a trip to Tivol while he was back in KC for work. Ward helped him pick out the diamond and customize the setting, and Jonas said it was such an incredible day and that he had the best purchase experience possible. Cait was so sweet and even captured a bunch of pictures of Jonas picking out the diamond, and he was smiling from ear to ear in all of them - he really enjoyed it. Tivol ruined my anniversary--and "it's not the first time they ruined a surprise for someone," according to them. Buyer beware. My third anniversary, and my plans to surprise my wife with a VERY special anniversary ring while we were in Greece got screwed earlier this month... thanks to Tivol. If you are looking to surprise your significant other with some bling make sure they don't send the appraisal for the item to your house before the big surprise. And, when they do and your plans are a bust, don't be surprised if they don't offer to do anything about it besides say "sorry" and blame it on their computer system. I don't care if you spend $500, $5000, or $50,000 a "first class" jeweler like Tivol that has been in business for 100 years should have a system down to avoid problems like this. So, since they don't--you should be prepared to protect your surprise. read more

I have been coming to this location for a long time, but never thought to write a review. I love that this is a locally owned business and it feels that way when you walk through the door. Regardless if you have made a purchase or not, they offer you something to drink (they even have a bar) and offer to clean & check your jewelry-even if it is not from Tivol. They take the attitude out of purchasing fine jewelry. My mom and I purchased a pair of diamond earrings for my sister's wedding and it was a breeze. We walked in to check out some of their rings my sister was interested in. I was immediately impressed by the layout and decor of the store. It was very well done on the inside. They have a little area where they had fruit infused water, cookies, and nice comfy chairs while the ladies looked. My sister and girlfriend were both looking, and one of the associates came up and offered to clean my their rings. My sister warned that she had a loose diamond, and she tried to get it cleaned before, but they said it needed tightened first. He offered to tighten it, and clean it no problem. She was very surprised. They also cleaned my girlfriends ring. When they came back, they said they were able to tighten my sisters ring, but actually my girlfriends ring was about to lose its primary diamond. It is a very old ring that was her grandmothers. He said we needed to get it re pointed, and to be very careful. We were glad he noticed that before something bad could have happened. Even know we didn't buy anything, they still were very nice, and offered to e-mail us any pictures, or updates on sales for the rings she liked. All in all, this place was pretty amazing. read more

Tivol did a great job for on our engagement and wedding rings. We worked with Ward Manes at the Plaza store and thought he did a great job. We came to Tivol after visits to a few other jewelry stores and at that point were a little frustrated with the process. Ward did a great job of giving us plenty of information and showing us some very nice rings without being overbearing and gave us plenty of room to breathe and just talk to each other, which is surprisingly rare. The engagement ring we bought was very well designed and I thought the value we got was very good in comparison to what we saw at other jewelers or online. I think Tivol carries the best selection of high quality rings we saw, especially if your fiance is looking for something with more design to it than a simple solitaire. Tivol was easy to deal with on wedding rings and brought in a wedding ring for me (the groom) that wasn't part of their normal inventory to help us out. They also had a wedding ring made to match the band on my wife's engagement ring and everything turned out very well. I would recommend Tivol for engagement or wedding rings. read more

I finally broke down and bought a 'nice' watch (Tag) - Although a little intimidated by the prices and the store itself, I quickly warmed up. The customer service was perfect - helpful, available, not pushy, accomodating, and relaxed. They help you to feel relaxed and comfortable, they answer questions and make suggestion, they'll give you personal suggestions (like someone said, everyone looks different in jewelry etc).
