I normally don't shop T.J. Maxx when on vacation, but there was something I needed to get. A clearance event was happening when I visited. Great markdowns, both in selection and price! I purchased several food, bath and clothing items. Many of which were impulse purchases. Markdowns included more than just seasonal items. At the time of my visit, there were so many clearance items that I didn't really need to look at regular prices items. The store was clean and well organized. This was in all departments. Aisles were wide enough to navigate easily around other shoppers. The only employee I encountered was upfront at checkout. She did not push too hard about signing up for their store credit card. She made positive comments about several items I chose.

There was a manager on duty named Trudy she is racist and rude ! I RECIEVED the worst service and she was rude and told me to shut up , yelled at me ! Watch me the whole time I was trying to shop at the jewelry counter ! She was a Karen rude when I told her she was rude she basically told me to kiss her ass ! I said your making me feel uncomfortable, she said she can be anywhere she wants in the store ! Absolutely terrible , refused to apologize! Trust I will be reporting her ! I feel bad for black men ! I'm a black Lam and black man and she made my experience horrible ! I knew she wasn't the head manager ! I was told someone named Belle was the manager ! I'm calling first thing in the morning ! This lady was absolutely terrible ! Should not be a manager it's clear a racist ! This is her!

Tj Maxx has always been my go shop for all types of last minute gifts that are of good quality and really good deals. I have to say I was impressed with the cleanliness of the store. While I was shopping there I asked help to a sales associate on the floor and his name tag said Ken F (pretty sure it was an F) I made sure to look at name tags, lets face it yelpers, this is the main reason I YELP, people who over do their jobs and are gracious deserve the compliments!! He was so helpful. The reason I brought up the cleanliness of the store is because I approached him while he was cleaning a display area and I told him I was trying to find a particular item and he was so helpful. He smiled (the entire time which is rare these days) and he took his time showing me each area I could find everything! I even had a question related to clothing and he knew the area to point me in and walked me over and asked me if I needed any additional help. That is fantastic customer service and you guys at TJ maxx got it in your employee Ken F, Of course i only went in for 1 item and walked out with 7!! All the good deals!! Check this location out fellow yelpers! It is much cleaner than the palm desert 111 location and has much more items in stock! Shop here if you want a great customer service experience from the floor staff to the register attendant!! Nothing beats super friendly non pushy attitudes during holiday shopping season!

I headed for checkout, and on the way, found sunscreen, perfect for enjoying the rest of my stay in Palm Springs.

Now that I finally do, it feels like I am getting a second chance to see the places I missed when I used to live here. PS HomeBoys had always been on my radar and the moment I walked in I understood why. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. The showroom feels like the perfect expression of the Palm Springs design spirit. It is bright, colorful, creative, and unapologetically mid-century modern while still feeling fresh and current. The shop was founded by interior designer Jeremy Taylor together with his partner Niels Kosman, and you can really feel that designer's eye throughout the space. Every piece feels intentional, from the furniture and lighting to the artwork and wallpaper. Nothing feels random or mass-produced. It feels curated. Palm Springs has such a strong design identity and PS HomeBoys captures it perfectly. Walking through the store feels like stepping into the kind of home you see in the iconic desert architecture that made this city famous. It is easy to imagine how these pieces would work in a stylish desert home or even a vacation rental, which makes sense because they also help stage and design homes around the area. For anyone who appreciates great interior design, mid-century style, or just wants to browse something different from the usual furniture stores, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I am honestly glad I finally made the time to go inside after all these years. Sometimes you pass by a place for years without stopping, and then when you finally do you realize you should have gone in a long time ago. This is definitely one of those spots.

We didn't buy anything, but I found a ton of really cool things that I wanted to take home with me. It is probably a good thing we rode to Palm Springs with our friends in a small SUV rather than our pick-up truck. I would've filled the truck! I definitely want to return with a high limit credit card. LOL! The giant Lava Lamp was rad!

Awonderbox is a liquidator/resale charity thrift store that is very small, but beautiful. You know…read morewhen you find a little business working hard to serve the community, but nowhere near the size and reach of an American Cancer Society Discovery Shop or, more locally to this desert region, Revivals? Well that's what I found today when I walk into Awonderbox. The mission is to service women, children, Veterans and homeless through discounted resale goods. Betty was holding down the shop when Hubs and I walked into Awonderbox and she is an absolute DELIGHT! There is a good supply of familiar BB&B items, but the ticketed price seemed average. Betty explained that the linens are all 50% off the ticketed price and everything else is UP TO 50% off the ticketed price. Ok, NOW we're talking. A great example was a Bee&Willow TWIN sheet set for $14! An Everhome Egyptian Cotton 700 thread count flat King/CalKing sheet is $50. There are some clothes, with tags on, nothing second hand, but it seems the key items came from a 2024 liquidation of BB&B inventory. If you are a crafty Cricket person, Awonderbox did seem to have A LOT of fancy Cricket paper rolls and items to use with Cricket. Also some kitchen items and some pretty jewelry. We selected a much need LARGE black sunscreen for our SUV and also some fitted sheet corner fasteners. I recently bought a 2pc set of these from Amazon and paid $8, this set was 25% off the ticketed price of $10, so $7.50, buuuuut there were 4pcs in this set. SCORE! While it's helpful to know all the linens are 50% off the ticketed price, it would be even MORE HELPFUL to know what the discount is on other items. Our window sunscreen was 25% off, which made it juuust a bit over $14. That's fine, but hardly a liquidation price. And poor Betty couldn't tell us what the discounted price was going to be on our iuntil she entered it into the desktop computer and THAT point of sale was set up to ask if we would be paying with cash or card before she could proceed. Looking over the counter at the monitor, it seemed as if it was set up for color coded stickers determining the discount. That would be a really simple strategy, and maybe the bugs are getting workout for that plan. I would definitely stop in regularly to see what comes into Awonderbox, but more so to visit with Betty. Cheers! "CC"

This location is GHETTO with a capital G…read more It's unfortunate because it's the only grocery store on the strip basically right in tourist town, however, their standards here are ZERO and the staff blatantly doesn't give a damn about their customers and this is a fact. I've been coming here nonstop for 2 years since I live walking distance down the street and I've documented enough evidence to file multiple lawsuits it's that bad. Everytime I come in I'm hoping and wishing for some change and it never happens no matter how many complaints you put in with management. On my last trip, during my checkout service the cashier quickly commented "Are you having a bad hair day? Your hair looks AWFUL!" I've experienced unprofessional and unsafe things in the store such as homeless people harassing me, crackheads threatening violence, crackheads soliciting you right outside their doors which they allow...but this was the first time I had an actual employee harass me for zero reason when I was only trying to buy a few household necessities. I am going there to buy groceries, not be to be harassed by crackheads and verbally assaulted by the cashier. It was interesting because she was commenting on my appearance while she had missing teeth and didn't even appear sober. It's like they hired her right out of the gutter and that's the main employee you're dealing with. After that comment, I did not respond and I quickly called the owner to file a complaint. He did not offer any incentives to come back and on my next visit, guess who was still working the same spot at the same cash register. Needless to say, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and reporting this business to as many agencies as I can. The Grocery Outlet in Palm Springs discriminates and disrespects their most loyal customers then gives them the middle finger when they try to speak up. DO BETTER!

Steve, one of the managers at the Marshall's on Ramon Road in Palm Springs has been harassing me…read morefor years as a customer. I've found numerous pairs of shoes and clothes for myself and my family at this store and, of course, obviously, when you buy lots of items, some items will turn out to be returns. Over the 17 years that I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars, this horrible, tiny, little older man has followed me around his store and has made every encounter with him as nasty as possible. I finally had to complain about his outrageous outburst behavior to the Marshall's corporate office for screaming and yelling at me over having to return a knit blouse that had a hole in it that I hadn't spotted when I purchased it. In front of an entire lineup of customers behind me, Steve decided to throw a hissy fit yelling and screaming and shouting at me that: "We don't carry that brand of clothing in our store", which was a complete lie as it was from the Ivanka Trump clothing line that Marshall's and TJmaxx did carry and we're selling until the brand was discontinued and whatever was left was placed in their clearance section. Steve then kept away from me until I found him in the shopping cart area, having followed me out there from inside the store and he told me to hand him my shopping cart and he pushed it away. several evenings ago, I had a return to make to Marshall's that I put into a TJmaxx plastic bag, which Steve obviously spotted since I wasn't trying to hide it, by any means. I saw Steve rush into his office when he saw me. (I'm pretty hard to miss, I'm tall, a former model and always well dressed and groomed.) When l gather up some things on clearance and went up to the cash register, Steve had obviously called over there to have the older female employee hassle me by demanding that I give her my drivers license, because, in her words, "It's been more than 30 days since I'd purchased the items." Immediately joining the cashier was apparently another manager or someone from security, both of whom looked at me so very oddly, both of whom examined every inch and detail of my face and makeup and the clothes that I was wearing, it was completely rude and shocking, but I continued to stand there, comply with giving my license and waiting as the cashier ran my information through her computer and found nothing, because there was nothing to find. She held up my drivers license and loudly proclaimed my name, for what purpose, I have no idea. I've never ever asked to hand over my drivers license when I've had my receipt, but this was a ruse perpetrated to access information about me in their database, I assume. Steve, the horrible little manager, never made an appearance during any of this, he was orchestrating the unnecessary drama behind his 'Wizard of Oz' curtain from his office and had, yet again, managed to viciously harass me, create drama and make me vow to never ever shop at that store again.
