This is quite a good TK Maxx, not jammed packed like some of the ones down in Hampshire. Got a couple of bargains.

But we also found some delightful little shops. It's a great place to grab some Highlands and Scottish mementos. But the highlight for us was a place that provided frameable family heritage writeups with associated crests, etc. based on family name. It was a wonderful gift for our daughter-in-law, whose roots are Scottish. This place was not just for Scottish names but for many other European names as well. For food options, there were several tempting choices, but Bad Girl Bakery offered good sandwiches and baked goods, while Salt and Fire had some good veg pita options. If you're in Inverness, this retail complex is worth a stop.

Do not miss stepping into their Food and Drink Hall. When we were there, it was bustling with activity. Basically, it is a large food court that you would find in a shopping mall in the States only the Food and Drink Hall is better in my opinion. First thing, we did was to try and find a spot to sit. The place was packed! A kind gentleman gave up his table for my wife and I. Thank you good Sir!! There were about a dozen food vendors to choose from. We chose to try Blazin Pizza. What an awesome choice!!! Definitely the best pizza that I have ever eaten in the entire United Kingdom!! We visited July 2024, and they have probably left the Victorian Market by now. The owners were looking for someone to take over their spot at the Food and Drink Hall. Hopefully, the business that takes over makes great pizza too!! Wish we had more time to explore the Victorian Market. We did not have the time to spare to see all that it had to offer. Til next time!

Upstairs there is costumes and novelty items along with household things like bedding and curtains/towels, to childrens toys. Downstairs there is a vast selection of occassion cards and occasion gifts and items for birthdays, weddings, engagements and so on. At the very back there is a selection of 99p or less items which is kind of like an aladdins cave. They have recently taken in some really cool car accessories which has certainly delighted my husband. At the front of the shop there is a selection of smellies and ornaments, candles etc, as well as a selection of ready made highland dress items, from kilts, and shirts, to sporrans, belts and pins. This shop is most definately known for its selection of costumes for halloween. They always put on a fantastic display for different holidays/seasons throughout the year, which are very enticing, especially there window displays which are always dramatic at halloween. Christmas is another fantastic time, and they always have there stock busting from the seams, fantastic stuff. Because this shop is a very popular shop it does get very busy, and with the till at the front of the shop where the entrance is it can mean that customers are pushing past and trying to move, not good at all another down side, is that disabled individuals and those that find it hard to climb stairs have no way of accessing the upper level as there is only a staircase, which is not very fair as they are missing out on a lot. Apart from that though the shop is fantastic, the staff are lovely, very helpful and always polite, the stock is quality. Parking is never a problem as the shop is situated right smack bang in the middle of the high street with parking behind the shop as well as behind the other shops at the opposite side.

There are lots of clothes, shoes, bags, fine goods, household decor, and kitchen supplies, as well as a nice stock of jams, sweets, and baked goods. The cafe is really good and is well worth a visit, but it can get very crowded. Get there in plenty of time to grab a good table! The parking lot is ample sized with large spaces, but it will fill up early. It seems to be a very popular place for tourists.

Brodie country fayre is a kind of rustic department store near Brodie castle. It has a range of clothes and homewear products. At the back is a department store style restaurant, however, the specials do seem to be just that. I had slow roasted pork with a apple and red cabbage accompaniment in a rich gravy which I really enjoyed. Whilst most of the products weren't for me, the deli section was great. Of course it's a bit pricey, but I think for an occasional treat that's ok, and the quality really was good. I probably won't return to Brodie country fayre for anything but food, but don't let that put you off. If you can spare some time and you're in the area pop in. And if the word saga often appears in your holiday choices, this is probably something you would REALLY enjoy. I'd recommend it.

The shop has a selection of clothes for women of all shapes and sizes which are definately kept within the seasons, and fashionable, as well as being suitable for each individual. The prices are reasonable, and garments of high quality. The sales within the shop are always great and you have to get there quick to ensure you get what you want, as many of the garments are snapped up quickly. Vanity fayre has a fair selection and if they have nothing in that you want they are always willing to order anything in, in any style and any size. Very popular for there fashion shows, with models that are not stick thin but represent women, average women. I was in there just before my wedding to help my husbands grandmother chose and outfit, she is very self conscious, however she was totally at ease within minutes of being in the shop. The staff members are so polite, and not judgemental like some shop staff can be. There was no pushy sales pitch, just brilliant knowledgable advice on what suits and what doesn't. I was surprised that there were garments for young ladies as well as the mature lady. It is most certainly a popular shop, with many customers browsing the gorgeous selection of garments. Fascinators are also available to finish of your outfit, as well as maybe a bit of sparkle with some beautiful jewellery. I was very impressed with the shop, the items, but above all the service which was provided. This shop is a must for any lady who is self conscious. You will never feel uncomfortable here, the staff make you feel great and really give you a boost.
