Been coming here for a while and had the most amazing nails that lasted for 6 weeks with a crazy design and everything, loved this place. When I came back for my fill I did not have a good experience with my first visit under new management. The new owner was my technician and I had to reshape my nails myself when I got home because none of them matched and he kept getting up to do things while I was at his table. I called to make an appointment for later same day at 5:30pm or 6pm. She said she didn't have anything so I asked for the next day. She said oh you can come in today at 6pm. I went to my appointment and was a few minutes early. You walk in and no one hardly acknowledges you. I said I have an appointment he said pick your color. I picked my color and proceeded to wait 15 minutes. During this time I said I could come back tomorrow at 5:30 or 6 and they said no we have time. I proceeded to wait and they took someone else before me. I put my color back and walked out. I'm sorry but my time is valuable and that's why I book appointments. I can't speak for the quality of their work but the vibe was off and they don't value your time or bother to even communicate how long you'll be waiting. Just that "they have time". read more

I was so disappointed with the "older lady technician" (I did not get her name) that serviced me today. I asked her to do a couple of things which she did not do, and I reminded her several times. The massage was very short-lived and so was the cuticle cutting. My daughter-in-law, who was seated right next to me, had a wonderful experience and her technician was very thorough and accommodating. I was very disappointed with my experience and think management needs to make sure all clients are serviced equally. read more

Super bummed on my manicure. The woman was nice and went above and beyond to find the exact color I was looking for. I got too carried away in talking with her that I didn't even notice how horrible this was going until I left the shop and I was shocked. There is a huge gap between the gel and my cuticle. The gel doesn't even cover my nail and it's bumpy in some places. This mani looks 3 weeks old and it's only 1 hour old. I paid $125 for a gel mani and pedi and this is really bad. The pedi was excellent though. I've been coming here for 11 years on and off (when I go back to natural) and this is not the TK nails quality that I know. read more

I have been going to TK Nails for about a year and I've noticed the service and atmosphere have changed for the worse. I had my pedi appointment on Friday at 10AM on 9/6/2025. The vibe was negative and it felt like the employees just got yelled at as they looked unhappy. For some reason I was assigned an older man I have not seen there before. He was okay and did not hurt my toes thank goodness, but he was not smooth at all and was quite awkward - definitely not the service I've expected. The guy was even almost twisting some of my toes to clip my nails - that was a first. I could sense the technicians next to me were coaching him a little in their own language. I did give him a tip for effort, but I am not returning here again - I was actually a little nervous the whole time, and almost ready to walk out, even though a pedi experience should be relaxing if not enjoyable. To be fair the application of the nail color was well done and I was given 2 coats, unlike the last time. I agree with recent reviews stating the lack of a welcoming attitude from the employees as you walk in. Friendly and generously-tipping clients deserve better. It is a signal for me to try a new place. read more

Obviously, these people are unaware that the state of this economy is tough and many people cannot afford to leave a huge tip. Recently went on February 2023! STAY AWAY Long story short, their tools for pedicure cleanings are used and unsanitary. And they are rude, they cant even make a small flower design, and didn't fulfil what I wanted since I paid top dollar for the package. Lets start off with I haven't had any nail service in 5 years due to covid and pregnancy so I have been looking forward to getting pampered. First of all I called and they said to come in at 3:30. I was attended an hour later, This is precious time wasted since I don't have time to waste. When I was assisted for my pedicure the water temp was BOILING, and they looked at me with an attitude because I didn't dip my feet in the water. Then I saw how they cleaned my feet. ALL MATERIALS WERE USED, NOT NEW. DONT EVEN GO HERE, YOURE BOUND TO CATCH SOME KIND OF INFECTION. Then I waited for my manicure i had decent length and I just wanted some flowers, and the nail tech said she didn't know how to do flowers. HOW? Ok I paid for the most expensive package to have massage and oiled and all that great stuff and all i had was a lousy lotion that lasted 10 seconds because they were getting ready to close., not to mention my mom got the same package and they half assed the job. 2 days later my gel manicure chipped off, great there goes my money. Better off going somewhere else or doing it yourself I know its a small town but dont even try to come here anymore especially for any kind of pedicure, I was relaxed with the massaging chairs and I saw how they cleaned my feet like how is this store still open after covid? anyways I was desperate... Few days later I had 2 bumps on my feet and I was extremely ITCHY had to go to the foot doctor and get some kind of creams , my feet are extremely dry now. I went to TK Nails as I found myself stranded in Paso for a few hours. I called and was able to make an appointment within an hour. I got an acrylic set -- my first ever -- and they look great. I generally hate manicures and ruin my nails within a few hours. I have now had these amazing nails for two weeks and they look flawless. Also, a large 10#+ rock was dropped on two of my finger tips (very painful and my fault). I was sure my nails were ruined the day before my daughter's wedding, but I just wiped off the dirt and they were still perfect. I'm thinking of having my nails done again the next time I go on a trip to protect them from my clumsiness. read more

My daughter went to get her nails done here at TK nails and they did a terrible job, they look like press on nails from the 99 cents store that are way too big for the nails. I paid $50 for this terrible nail job, if I could give it 0 stars I would, this is so unacceptable. How are they still In business!!!!! As a devoted nail salon attendee I was originally excited to find this salon. Quinn did an ok job on my nails and the pedicure was satisfactory. The last time I came I had to wait 25 minutes for my nail appointment. The time before that I waited 20 minutes. I understand how a workday goes so am always understanding. However today I came to an appointment 5 minutes late and was told rudely "you late" as I sat down. The young girl was so hostile that at first I thought she was kidding. But she wasn't and repeated herself again! I asked the lady who was doing my nails what was wrong and she snapped "you five minute late!" Sorry TK nails but your work isn't worth coming back for. This has been my favorite place to come for the past several years. To the point where my husband will drive out of his way to purchase a gift certificate for me as a gift for different occasions. The last visit was horrible. An older woman who I did not recognize gave me my Mani Pedi (no gift certificate this time) I am pretty tough and if you read my past review, I really haven't had any complaints. The woman doing my pedicure hurt me. From digging into my toe nails and drawing blood. To ignoring my hints of trying to let her know she was hurting me. To the massage, (not listening when I said I like a light massage.) She dug into my legs as if she was trying to massage my bones! I am not picky but I had a French manicure and the white was so wide it looked stupid I complained before she painted too many and you could tell she was annoyed... So do it right, don't make me bleed or scream out in pain and we will all be fine lady! Finally when it was time for a manicure the owner came over to do it (Yay!) and shooed the first one away... not sure what the conversation was... (I tip well and she still got her tip) I love the owners who have always been very friendly and personable and won me over from Vessel where I'd been a loyal customer for quite a while and left there because of the unfriendliness. TK has been a little less friendly each visit. Seems stressed or over-worked. He didn't say hello when I walked in. He just said "pick a color" Hmmmm... Well, OOoookaay.... I have recommended this place over and over and I know they have gotten regulars from a bunch of people I sent there over the years. I have spent tons of money there. I am glad they are so busy. It was my second time coming to TK. I brought my daughter and we had appointments. We had massages at River Oaks after but thought 2 hours should be enough time for a deluxe mani-pedi and I was not having gel nails. They spent too much time rubbing my legs, no arm massage, and the big problem is that I had my nails done in french tips, and in less than a week the white tips was all scratched off. I don't think they used a base coat and there was no clear coat done over the entire nail after the 2 colors were on. I spent $52.00 including $5.00 extra for french tips, and $5.00 extra for calus removal, which I think a deluxe should include anyway. But the dealbreaker is having my nails look a total mess one week later. I had to go to another nail salon in SLO City this morning and get them fixed. Oh, one other note is that both my daughter and I were really uncomfortable in the pedi chairs after one hour, they may be old, the seat padding is non-existent and our tailbone was so sore, I had to move around to try to ease the pressure on it. First visit, regular pedicure (great massage chairs!) and gel (so many colors to choose from!) on my fingers and toes for the honeymoon to the carribbean. They really take their time and provide great massages and a cold or warm neck thing...it was warm out so it was nice having a chilled one. So I'm updating from my last review I posted from a while back. I am still 100% in love with TK Nails. They are not only super clean, they are all perfectionists at their work and make me feel like I'm a beauty queen when I'm walking out of there. Deluxe Pedi is $32 which includes: exfoliation sea salt scrub, foot mask, hot towels, warm lotion, hot stone massage, 15 minute foot massage, aromatherapy hot or cool pack(depending on the weather) and a complimentary beverage your choice of sparkling flavored water, soda, tea, coffee, and others. The next step up is the Luxury Pedicure. It has all of the above plus a callus treatment, and a 20 minute massage for $42. The Royal Pedicure has all of the above with a callus treatment, Paraffin Wax, and a 30 minute massage for $55. The Deluxe Mani and Pedi combo is $42 Luxury Mani Pedi combo is $52 Royal Mani Pedi combo is $65 You can also do a deluxe pedi and add on the callus treatment for $5 and the paraffin wax for $8. Today I got a manicure with gel nails color #163 which is a light nude/purplish color. They offered me a drink and I also received s warm aromatherapy pack. She started off by filing and shaping the ends and sides of my nails. The next step was pouring the cuticle softening/removing liquid on each nail and wrapping my hands in a hot towel to soften. She gently scraped all the yucky gunk off and my nails were already looking in tip top shape. Then off went my cuticles with the precision snipper. She wiped my nails with alcohol to dehydrate and prepped for the gels. They usually do 2-3 coats of the gel color and then do 2 coats of the clear sealant gel. She wiped off the sticky stuff from the gel then put the massage lotion on. She did a quick massage and wiped my nails again with alcohol and the whole manicure process was done in about 50-55 minutes. I didn't ask for her name when I should have. . But she is the young pretty lady with the Tragus and nose piercing & she should be having her baby any day now! She was fantastic, very quiet, and very sweet. I've also had Quinn do my nails and she's amazing with painting on artwork and I hear she's even better with airbrushing! Which I have never had done before but I will ask about and try. Quinn is very quiet as well and is also very sweet. Sue definitely has the funny/sassy/mom vibe going on. She has a great sense of humor and often makes funny faces after talking to her other co workers. She is really quiet as well but much more outspoken then the others at the work place but she always seems to make me chuckle. I will write more about everyone else and personalities when I make another appointment. read more
