Our review is long overdue....TK taekwondo studios are great!!! We highly recommend anyone who is looking to help their child with self esteem, discipline, leadership, or simply having them be active and proud of their abilities. TK Taekwondo Santa Clarita and the one in Canyon Country are definitely worth trying. Master Andrew from the Santa Clarita studio is amazing! he's so patient with all the students, and also expects the best from them each, he's funny when the students need him to be and he redirects them to ensure they're succeeding. Master Sung from the Canyon Country studio is also great! They both know exactly how to speak to each student based on their age and abilities, they're amazing at what they do! Our son started at 3.5yrs old and he's now 5 yrs old. Our son loves Master Andrew and is proud of all he learns by sharing with his friends and family each time he gets. We have seen kids come in so shy and nervous, to shinny bright and confident in their abilities. It's so beautiful seeing all the young kids gaining their confidence and learning to be respectful. The young instructors are all equally important and amazing, it's such a team effort and the leadership speaks for itself I can go on highly recommend at least doing the 1 class to test and see what it's all about. Currently have my 7 yo and 4 yo enrolled here. They both absolutely love the classes and their instructors here. They look forward to going to class and alway express how much they've enjoyed each class they go to. My kids are pretty quiet, timid, and the classes here really bring out their bright personalities, it's so nice to see them run around, have fun, and learning tkd. They're still not very good at it but their instructors are so very patient and kind, they're absolutely the best! read more

Hi All, I just wanted to throw a recommendation out for a tremendous organization that's just around the corner. TK Tae Kwon Do is a little Martial Arts Studio tucked in the corner of the strip mall on the corner of Newhall Ranch Road and Bouquet Canyon next to CVS Pharmacy. My son is 4 and has been there for about a year now. I can't express enough the effect it has had on his confidence and his discipline; his respect for adults and his overall physicality. It isn't just the Martial Arts. The people who run this place are exceptional with children and don't just teach a fighting style. Every day they teach these kids to obey their parents; stay focused and organized and humble and to respect God and Country. Yesterday at their belt test ceremony, they took specific time to review kids grades from school and called up and celebrated those with excellent marks and work ethic. This is a place of discipline, encouragement and appreciation for the humble and diligent. I would urge anyone with kids ranging from 3 years old and up to sincerely consider this place. She has gained better focus and self confidence and she can defend herself too! This is a family run studio, and what an amazing family they are! I highly recommend this taekwondo studio! It's the best!! My son started when he was 4 years old, and he has learned to become more confident, positive, disciplined, and healthy. It is great exercise and a fun environment for everyone as Master Won and all of the instructors are so friendly and positive! I would recommend that you very carefully consider looking at another club. My son was subjected to verbal abuse and condescension. Despite this he persevered passing his black belt test. After that he wanted to take a break. At the presentation ceremony they dressed him down in front of everybody for having the nerve to want to take a break. They called his name last among about 30 recipient's and conveniently lost his certificate, So I add humiliation. After 3 plus years and about $7k we deserve better. Leadership they say starts at the top, so Grandmaster Park who talks about integrity, kindness, fair play , and whom I had great respect for, has apparently not passed this on to his staff. read more

My daughter was 3, and started out in the little tigers class earlier this year. Within a couple of weeks, we noticed her confidence boost and an improvement with listening at home. The Masters emphasize good focus and listening beyond the studio, and consistently remind the students that being in TKD is a lifestyle. With each belt promotion, there is opportunity to point out what needs to improve in the home or in class (I.e. getting along siblings, no whining...). The Masters are encouraging, and patient, which is important while students (especially the younger ones) learn proper form and sequencing of moves. This place was great from day 1. We did not expect It to be as pricey, but the kids love it. The place is clean, plenty of parking. The masters and instructors are really good with kids, and my kids look forward to every class. Master Andrew communicates clearly, has great energy and maintains a great sense of humour, even when faced with challenging toddler behaviour at times. From the moment we walked in the Valencia studio 3+ years ago it felt just right. Our oldest child, (a very young 4yo) was very shy and cried every single day. This is one of the best martial arts studios my family has had the pleasure of going to. The instructors are excellent with kids and really help them reach their full potential. Kids can and often find themselves changing their minds on what they actually want to do. Yet this studio keeps them engaged and gives them so much confidence in their different level of abilities that I promise you is worth checking out. My son is no different and his interests can often change with the wind but he is always so excited to go to class that any concern I had about him losing interest was soon unfounded. My wife and I even invested the money into new sparring gear so he could take full advantage of those classes as well. That is how confident they made us feel about all the time and money we have invested with them. Grandmaster Park is currently overseeing this studio, while we are sad to see master Won helping the organization at another location, we are happy to see the level of dedication Grandmaster Park invests which is why we joined even before he took a more hands on roll here. read more

My son has been taking classes at TK Taekwondo on Bouquet Canyon since he was 4 yrs old. He'll be 7 soon, and he loves coming to class. This is a family run business and every member of their team, from the Masters to the instructors and other personnel are polite, and friendly. We've come to look at this studio as more than a place our son comes to learn Taekwondo, but also as a part of our lives as well. Our son has been taught lessons in respect, focus, and discipline from the beginning. It has shown in his school classroom as well as his schoolwork. This is a great place for kids to start taekwondo. My son started at TK this year with Little Tigers and loves this place.
