I hosted my mom's 80th birthday party here this past Sunday. If I could give it 10/5 stars I would. The evening was beyond perfect! The whole event went smoothly from booking, menu selecting, to the event. I have to give a big big thank you to our main waiter, Cesar A, along with all the other staff that assisted him. They were so warm, friendly and attentive. Their service was impeccable. They were a huge part of why the meal was so successful. I have dined here many times and hosted other group dinners and every time is amazing, but on this particular night everyone was raving about how incredible the food and service was. I would love to give this place a good review but the lack of customer service is astounding. Opentable only allows 630 or 1130 no matter how ahead-of-time you make it yet the host suggests to make it "ahead of time" although half the restaurant is empty. We showed up on a whim hoping to get seated in a half empty restaurant and were told we could only sit outside or wait over 2 hours for indoor seating. The hours this restaurant has is a gamble daily, and calling them to place a reservation is next to impossible. Jumping through hurdles to get seated here just isn't worth it, considering the vast amount of other options around Ventura Blvd. read more

Wow. Wish I found this place sooner. Called in to get a seating last minute and the hostess was extremely accommodating despite a lack of availability. So happy she was as the food was so unique but so delicious! We tried the Zaluuk, Oyster Mushrooms, Instias Sashimi, and Hanging Tender Skewer and loved each item. If you want to feel like you've been transported to Israel, this is the place! Walking in, I loved the ambiance and the welcoming service provided by Cesar that night was above and beyond. He really made sure we were taken care of and had a good night. Thank you to the manager that night as well who was also accommodating. The cocktails are tasty, and the food is delicious! Some of my faves were the Jerusalem bagel, which is a yummy and warm sesame bread with side of tomato's, olives, sesame sauce; hummus; Chilean sea bass; cauliflower steak; salat hashuk. I would return just for the sea bass and hummus! It's my understanding that there is a DJ on Thursday and Saturday nights starting at 9pm. Love the music he plays- definitely an Israeli/Hebrew vibe, which would be hard to find anywhere else. I'd just want to mention for anyone who is sound sensitive or looking to have discussions over dinner, the music is pretty loud. Such an amazing experience! We were celebrating our seventh anniversary and arrived without a reservation, luckily we were seated at the bar. The entire restaurant was gorgeous, and the bar was very comfortable. The bartender, who was our server at the bar was phenomenal. He truly made our evening special, starting us off with champagne, the perfect recommendations, made sure we were always happy. He engaged with us like we were the only people there even though the bar and restaurant were completely packed. The food was outstanding! We started with the hummus. It was served with light and fluffy challa bread which was perfectly toasted. The hummus was so creamy and flavorful. The next dish was the beet and frisée salad. It was tangy and sweet, with a light vinegar dressing and pomegranate seeds on top. The perfect salad to break up all of the savory dishes we ordered. My absolute favorite was the grilled mushrooms. Thoughtfully cooked until slightly crispy and juicy. They roast veggies over charcoal and they do it very well. I dream about the mushroom dish, seriously it was that good. We also had the grilled kohlrabi served over cashew labne. Again, another perfectly seasoned dish. For my main entree, as I hadn't already stuffed myself, I had the most delicate, delicious sea bass. It was light and melted in my mouth. After all of the food we didn't think we had room for dessert and then we saw them coming out of the kitchen and there was no way we could say no. We finished with the bread pudding which was a gooey plate of goodness. The stand out dessert was definitely the chocolate sphere. It had a light crispy chocolate shell that incased a soft and decadent chocolate mousse. This is my new favorite restaurant in the valley. I cannot wait to go back and try other dishes. Five stars for the perfect service, the mouth watering meal and the gorgeous interior. read more

It is really loud inside and hard to have a convo unless you go for an earlier dinner before the music starts . From the service we received from the entire staff (Kyla & Garry specific shoutout) to the presentation to all the dishes we tried (100% have to try the oyster mushrooms and get the sea bass!) everything was top notch and really made us change our minds from the initial visit we had. I tried to calm the restaurant but no one was answering.. finally the Uber driver offered that I'll calm him and he will ask for a manager.. this guy has such an attitude saying they got the order an hour ago and that's normal... instead of apologizing he gave me attitude... what a joke! I made reservations here for four people on a Wednesday night. Two of our friends canceled so it just ended up being my boyfriend and I. We were seated right away. The first thing I noticed was how professional our waiter was- he was super kind and responsive. We ordered the Salat Hashuk ($17) and it tasted so refreshing and flavorful. Sumac is my favorite spice and that was added to this salad which was a plus. I gave this salad a 10/10. We also ordered a non alcoholic fruity cocktail- forgot the name but it came with watermelon on the side. It was a bit too sweet for my tasting and I was unable to finish it. I give it a 5.5/10. Lastly, we ordered the Hanging Tender Skewers ($27) well-done and we thought they were pretty delicious. The skewers were a 9.5/ 10. The downside was that they provided very little meat. Great ambiance just wish they had entertainment on the weekdays too. Overall, I give this place an 8/10. We would definitely come back especially because I love to support kosher restaurants. read more
