The only "quote" provided was the salesperson writing "$40k" on a piece of paper -- no detailed written estimate or proposal. I later received another quote for an epoxy coating from Foxy Coatings for about $11,000, which made me question the pricing even more. They also would not provide any references from previous customers. In addition, the $6,000 "discount" they offered only applied if I signed the contract immediately during the visit, which was a high-pressure sales tactic. After this experience, I decided to explore other options and am currently getting pricing for installing pavers over the concrete pool deck instead. Best of luck with your experience.

They did come sooner but didn't let us know so they "repaired " it with our cars in the garage. They told me they knocked on the door but why not use the door bell? Anyway; I was blamed for it not holding because we drove over it to go to our appointment. Since then the crack went from halfway across to all the way across. They won't fix it unless I pay for it. This was the first company that replied back to me after I put in over a dozen requests. They…read morecalled me back the next day, had an agent come out after our work schedule around 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. so it was great with our schedules. The gentleman who came out was named Evan. He was fantastic! He was real, upfront, honest, and overall a genuine person. This is my first time ever doing major housework so I was very nervous but I felt like I could trust him so he does his job well. We were informed right from the get-go that it would not be the cheapest for a roof, but it would also not be the most expensive. He brought in samples of the tiles, showed us the nails that they would use, and thoroughly explain the whole process to us so I felt like I understood what was happening. They showed up on the day of ready to go and it took about 8 hours. I got home from work and the new shingles on the front roof looked amazing. I reached out to the gentleman heading the project and he sent me the pictures of our roof which was fantastic. What stood out to me was this is the first time I've seen any kind of construction being done on a house in years that I haven't gotten a flat tire from a nail in the road. They have a policy that for each nail you find, you can mail it in and they will give you a check back. For better or worse I did not find any nails anywhere which is nice because I didn't want to have to patch another hole in the tire. Based on the average cost for hours square footage, they came in right around the ballpark of where I expected if it was on the high end of the spectrum. They were professional, they were friendly, I feel like they did a great job, and they were honest. Could not recommend this company more and if we have any work done on our house in the future, I will certainly be reaching back out to them.

Our floors are engineered pecan. The actual wood measures about a quarter inch. Because of this, the work was challenging. Randall explained his entire process to us before the work began. He and Mickey paid attention to every detail from start to finish. Plastic was put up around the sanding areas to limit the dust getting into other parts of the house. A special vacuum was used during the sanding process to keep the area as dust-free as possible. Then the floors were coated twice with a low luster, water-based product and we love the finish better than the shiny floor we had prior. The finished floors are beautiful and make the whole house look like new. I highly recommend Kevin Smith Flooring to refinish your hardwood floors. One of the reasons we chose this company is because floors are all they do. They are knowledgeable about everything hardwood floors. Their work is high quality with reasonable pricing.
