As usual a great crowd for the TMA and Yelp. A nice welcome and tour to start. The walking tour through the gallery was fun, and informative. The membership is still on sale, which is a great bargain and helpful for the whole community. TMA staff were there to greet, explain and welcome guests to the museum, which is quite impressive for a town the size of Tucson. The permanent collection is really impressive and the limited exhibits are great. Some really terrific ones coming up later this year. Thanks Yelp for supporting the TMA! And thank you TMA for another lovely Friday Momento evening.

We've wanted to visit the Tucson Museum of Art for quite a while and we welcomed this opportunity. Fortunately, we were not disappointed. We enjoyed browsing the various galleries and thoroughly enjoyed the sound performance by Karima Walker. The sounds of various waterways, dams (failed and active), and data centers was quite interesting. We're already discussing our next visit and further exploration.

Its alway so relaxing spending a Friday evening at the art museum! Love the Momentos series! We had dinner at Ceres first then enjoyed the art and a wonderful sound experience tonight! Theres always something new and exciting happening at the museum, and I truly enjoy spending time with the art!

The biennial exhibit at the Tucson Museum of Art was an awesome event! Laila from TMA was an awesome tour guide who made being at the museum a fun experience that was interactive. Instead of just looking at pieces we were able to really talk about them as a group, get others perspectives, and even meet some new people in the process! I especially loved that we were using yellow number two pencils to create words that resonated with us as we looked at the art. I know that's an odd thing to say, but I don't get to use pencils much (always on a computer) so it was a fun treat. The bartender was fantastic I had a Diet Coke. The DJ kept the tunes pumping and they even had one of my favorite local photographers. Carlos Chavez documenting the event. I especially enjoyed a refreshing mango and watermelon gelati from gelu because it was so dang hot outside, but between the gelati and TMA keeping the museum, nice and cool. It was a pleasant experience. The exhibits were fantastic and having time to learn from Lex, one of the artists about her work and going through the flower, making exercise was so much fun. My flower was certainly an amateur attempt at art, but it was still fun to sit and color and chat with other yelpers while we answered the questions that Lex had curated for us. The other displays and installations were very diverse in subject matter, medium and energy. There was lots of interesting and fun ways to display creativity on show. I really enjoyed my first visit to TMA and will totally be back in the future!

I feel that this event wasn't very well organized but they still pulled it off. Laila (from the TMA) took us around the Biennial and made us do some creative thinking exercises. Unfortunate I had already seen the exhibition but it was nice to get some better understanding from the creators. Lex, the artist in resident, was so sweet and great at explaining her work.

What a great time tonight. I caught up with a few Elites and met some new ones. The TMA is always fun and interesting. It was a bonus to hear from the artist Lex Gjurasic. She talked about painting during Covid. Her paintings were beautiful.

I had a great time and I'm a member as well. It's good for the museum to have events that attract non members and members as well. I talked to the event director for a moment and told her it was a nice event. We talked about ways to get younger members coming in to the museum. I've been a member for at least 20 years and it's a great deal. I also had a chat with the people from the Tucson Symphony of which I have had Season tickets for the last 20 something years, the crew I go with are almost 80 and we talked about targeting the 40 to 50 range of people to go to the symphony. I loved the event!!!!!

This was quite a unique event. I am not someone who is an art enthusiast so this was a little out-of-the-box for me and I'm glad we did it. The museum is wonderful, and I can't believe how big it is and how much it has to offer! The initial activity was really engaging and helped guide us on how we should think about the art as we toured. Really appreciate the Tucson Museum of Art hosting this event and look forward to a return trip.

We stopped by as part of a Yelp collaboration, and this was a really fun way to beat the heat. I prefer my museum visits self-guided, so the interactive docent led discussion wasn't my cup of tea. But I had a nice time strolling the museum with my friend and checking out the new exhibits. The Readymade in the Borderlands exhibit should not be missed, and I enjoyed learning more about Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and the Di Luna candle decorating pop up was so fun. I was thrilled to see Cafe a la C'art on site with some grab and go treats (the Turkey croissant sandwich was amazing.) TMA is a lovely way to beat the heat in the summer while soaking up some art and culture.

Had a great time at the Yelp event at TMA for the Momentos Summer Series. We experienced what was supposed to be a semi guided tour, but ended extremely guided tour, where the guide spent about 20 mins on one single painting asking the group many different questions about our internal feeling when looking at different parts of the painting. Much like an art teacher teaching people different ways to explore art, it was pretty extensive. After we enjoyed walking independently through the museum. There was a scavenger hunt help by Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and food for purchase from Cafe a la C'art. Their desserts are divine! Finally, we ended our time creating a lovely candle with Di Luna. I love Di Luna and always enjoy being able to get creative! Overall this was a great event to beat the heat and enjoy some awesome art.

This was an immersive and interesting experience. It was immersive in the sense that there was a guide who got everyone engaged in the artwork. Plus there was a candle making event that was really neat at this particular venue. I also enjoyed the Easter egg hunt. In the sense that you had a clipboard and you found the little treasures through the art in the museum to write about. Overall, I'd highly recommend the event. There's also food you could buy along with alcoholic drinks you could buy as well.
