Good service but beware of hidden costs. I called in and they told me my nails would be $55. When I checked out I paid $72. When I asked why they said they charge $10 to SHAPE your nails... I was confused as my nails already had the shape I wanted, all she did was filed them down a bit... I was super surprised. I have never heard of a $10 charge to shape nails. The other $5 was because she cut my cuticles, which I was ok with paying for. I wish they would have told me upfront about the "shape" charge but I guess they don't say anything so they can charge you at the end. We tried TN Nails today for the first and came away impressed. Sitrep: It is located in the Walgreens shopping Center off Scott and Antelope. Folks are very friendly and it's relaxing compared to other places. Every seven weeks or so, my neighbor and I need to get our claws trimmed, so we decided to give TN a try. Nice place, poor service. I had a pedicure with callus remover, paraffin, and extra 10 minutes of massage. I love the idea of using a timer to ensure your guests receive the time they're paying for, but I'm not a fan of setting the timer for 7 minutes instead of 10. The callus remover was a disposable, which don't work well. I may go back for a generic pedicure, but wouldn't recommend spending extra on additional services. read more

I called and asked how much a fill was. They said $34. I came in, got a fill. I asked for him to just *file* down the length a little bit. He *drilled* them down SIGNIFICANTLY. I didn't want them that much shorter, just to the length they were before the fill. He also didn't ask me if the length was okay, he just did all of my nails. He says it will be $42. I ask why the jump from $34. He says they charge a $5 reshaping fee. I go to the front, and another man says "I spoke to you on the phone. I said 'fills start at $34' that is for a square fill. If you want almond nails, it's extra" I explained that I have never had that happen to me before, and I could understand if I came in with square nails and wanted a different shape. But I came in with almond nails and left with almond nails. He said "no, most fills only charge for square shape" which is total BS and I've never had that happen to me EVER at a salon. So I pay, and I leave a tip. I get out to my car and I'm doing the math, and I realize they charged me $8 for reshaping, not $5. So I call them and speak to a lady who says their fills aren't $34, they're $35. She says "when you get your nails done and you go home, you will lose some shape working, doing the dishes, so we have to reshape them after that" LOL. I say "that's a part of a fill. I've never had someone not file my nails??" She said "okay I will refund you $5" I said "no you charged me $8. $34 plus $5 is only $39" she says "okay I will refund you $7 because our fills are $35, not $34" whatever. I go back in and the man at the front shows me their pricing list!!!!! finally for the first time. he's searching and trying to cover up their pricing. he finally finds "reshaping fee" and it's only $3!!!!!!!!! they just charge whatever they want to, such a sleezy scammy place. read more

He was gentle and quick he didn't rush the color or process but was efficient and listened to my needs. Really unprofessional. It's currently 9:25 they claim to open at 9. I came at 8:50 to be seen first. Waiting till 9:02 and approached the door. No one is here. Not a soul. I called the phone number on yelp; no answer. Around 9:20. Two workers showed up and called someone. Said 10 minutes they will come open. Then the lady said okay I'm going back to my car. 10 minutes. If you aren't going to open when you say you are going to open change your business hours. You have 2 customers who were here at 9am to get services. I didn't want to spend 30+ minutes (still waiting) in the parking lot. I have better ways to spend my time and things to do today. I'm not happy. I don't understand the lack of care for your business and how you don't show up to OPEN. I was just here the other day and the only reason I'm waiting around is bc I broke a nail and don't want to have to go elsewhere and change the color when I remember the color # here. Get your stuff together or you're going to lose a customer. There's plenty of other nail salons around here I can go to. Also a 3rd customer just arrived. Had a very unfortunate experience. Went in for a Mani Pedi with my cousin, and it was a disaster! The technician had water spraying all over us from the foot tub. Left water all over the floor. And when it came to our manicure, the technician never asked what shape I wanted my nails, filed them down so much before I noticed on one hand. Used the rough file. And when applying the polish, didn't go to the edges of the nails. Less than 12 hours later the manicure was chipping off. We went in the next day to ask for a refund, and they said that they would fix our nails. I have a 30 minute wait. I did not want to waste more time there.Unfortunately I lost out on $30. I have been going to this salon for almost a year for fills and pedicures. I have made appointments for these services and find it difficult for them to commit to holding their appointments. Visited for the first time in July. Came 3 times within these two months. First time was a gel builder set, great. 2nd time, a gel builder fill where I got knicked and my finger slightly bled, but still looked nice. 3rd time, not even the service I asked for. The first two times it was the same method of application, this last time, something completely different than what I asked the tech for. I explained to her TWICE exactly what I wanted and she did a completely different service after assuring me she was doing what I asked for. I didn't stop her because I am not confrontational and thought, well maybe she has a different method than everyone else in the shop; I should've left when I felt her over filing my nails until they burned. I'm very disappointed with how unsanitary the methods used were and the lack of attention to detail. She used 'dip' and stuck my finger in the powder vs pouring it directly on the nail and throwing away excess product. THIS can cause infection and is NOT permitted practice in nail shops. I am debating on filing a complaint with the board because of this. My nails are uneven lengths and sizes and I got them removed days later. I've got my nails done by three different employees there and only one has provided me average results. I came here to receive a quick service due to me not being able to book a cleaner, more professional salon. Unfortunately, this in-out shop I will no longer be going to for any future appointments.
