The play area is really compact, as everything is in a self contained cube, covered in strong netting that goes up to 3 levels in height (almost to the ceiling). So whilst its a good use of space, it doesnt leave much room around the edges for parents to sit and have a rest (there was a private party that had most of the tables reserved). At the same time its the only area where children can run from one area to the next so at times it can also get very crowded. When we went we didnt really relax as the only seats were next to a very noisey football game (yes we expected it to be noisey but not to struggle to speak to each other!). There were also trays of food on tables which hadnt been cleared away, so that didn't leave a great first impression either. When you go it might be quieter and cleaner, but at least our children seemed to enjoy it, and its near to where we live so we might go again. But only if we cant find anywhere better!

They denied this as it is not their policy to refund. Whilst I understand a policy, I explained it was a genuine oversight and I would not benefit from a credit as I don't live nearby to use this. One kind manager did contact the owner about this but they refused to give me a refund. My five year old was left in tears as we were unable to then afford an alternative place to book. What an awful money grabbing business!!!! Please don't give them any more of your money!!!

It also has bumper cars and another roundabout type ride. Best to go in the mornings if you can as the weekend afternoons are very busy, although most people like it so much they are okay with it. The other problem is that adults should be with their children in the bumper car queue because other children queue jump and the Gambado staff do not sort this out. This is of course very upsetting for children and parents alike. They should have a better queueing system or at least one staff member operating the ride and a second controlling the queue. The clever thing would be a proper queueing system which actually lines people up properly. However today there was a great staff member who actually stopped the queue jumpers and he should be applauded, he also really cared and was great with the children. It is also expensive however it is so good they can happily get away with it.

Definitely first and last time I will visit. Everything on their website implied play time of about 1 hour (including safety video and kitting up). For example: "Special Half Term Offer: 3 games of Laser-Run (which takes about an hour)..." So I took a group of 7 kids at £12.50 each, expecting them to be in about 1 hour (as that what the website led me to believe) but they were turned out after 35 minutes (including safety video and kitting up). I queried this at the time, saying to staff that it seemed very short and they just said bluntly that the kids had had 3 games. Unfortunately, I wasn't in a position to argue further as I had to sort out what to do with the kids. When I queried later, Laser-Run claimed that the kids had had 3 games of about 12 minutes per game - even if that was the case, that would only be 35 minutes play time which was well below the expectation set by the website. I estimate we had more like 25 minutes. Go elsewhere! (I notice they've removed the "about 1 hour" bit from much of their website now.)

The first time he did it as he is only 6, I went in with him and was there just in case he was scared - not needed I might add! BUT I can't wait to go back with some of my friends to actually have a game ourselves! The price of a game is very reasonable compared to some other similar places. The minimum age is 6 (caused a lot of upset to my 4 year old!) but then the younger kids can go next door to runabout so they don't miss out completely. The two places share the same entrance. The staff were very friendly and safety was a top priority. Highly recommend.

This place is very busy at weekends. In summer they open the garden with bouncy castle and even have visits from farm animals. They have several party roms and offer a choce of party packages.
