I've been here a few times and have enjoyed everything I've eaten here. I love how they have an outdoor patio so we are able to bring our dog. To drink, I've had their matcha hot and cold, I'd say it passes the matcha test. One time I ordered their sisig burrito which has pork belly in it and kalamansi. This dish was very good, perfect among of salt and citrus, I also like the how there is avocado in it. Another time I ordered their Asian chicken salad, which was also great. Very refreshing with the mandarin oranges and I liked the sesame dressing. My mom enjoyed her breakfast burrito. My husband said he also enjoyed their tuna melt. Been here a couple times and finally got to making a review! One of the best tuna melts I've had! The breakfast burrito was also good Service was fast and they were constantly checking up on us. They even informed me they were out of orange juice and were in the process of making more so it would take a while, but I honestly wouldn't have noticed because it came out pretty fast still. This place is also pet friendly and they offer you a water bowl for your dog when you sit. The person I assumed was one of the owners was also super friendly and nice to my dog, always bonus points for that! The customer service here is great. We were greeted by the owner who was super nice and gave us a little run down of the type of cuisine since it was our first time here. She even gave me a free chocolate chip cookie for my birthday! I had a matcha latte which was very good and the chocolate chip cookie was one of the best ones I've ever had -- chewy in the center and crispy on the outside with a bit of flaky salt. It's a fast food type setting where you can order up front, but this time they came to our table to get our orders. I shared the sigsig burrito and the pork belly bowl. It looks like big portions but I ended up eating it all. Sigsig burrito- thought it sounded unique but just OK. There is fries, pork belly, and chicharons inside the burrito. They didn't provide any sauce with it, but I asked for salsa since I saw other ppl with breakfast burritos with salsa. The green salsa they gave was lacking flavors unfortunately. We went for a business lunch and opted to sit on the outdoor patio. Seems to seat quite a few people, but I know it's jammed on weekends. Nice size menu with breakfast, lunch, and entree options. My table mate had the tuna melt and an order of tater tots. She mentioned while flavorful, the sammie had too much bread. Nice sized order of tots, suitable for 2-3 to split. But tots were cold. I had the BLT wedge and added chicken, as a protein, at an extra cost. I opted for the dill dressing, which I found tasty. While I had enough for two meals, there was very little chicken added to the salad. A disappointment. Service was lacking. Three different people doing a seemingly uncoordinated effort. Of the three, no one came by to check on our meal (hence, why the tots weren't returned) or at the least, refill our waters. Will I go back? Maybe to try breakfast. If I could give this place 100 stars I would! The owners and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, the hospitality was second to none. We felt as if we were reuniting with family. Naomi, Joe(?), Mimi, and Ed were so nice! We chose to sit outside where it was so quiet-they even set up the patio heater for a little bit so we could warm up. The food was delicious-our table ordered the sisig burritos, ube French toast, chicken and waffles, and loco moco (seasonal item). The portions were generous and everything was tasty! Came here for early brunch and ordered their ube toast and the breakfast burrito. The service was fast and we were immediately seated without any reservation. The ube French toast was so good! It wasn't too sweet or heavy. I'm usually more into savory food but my friend and I split this and the burrito which was a perfect balance. It had a fluffy whipped ube cream on top and a cream filling with lots of blueberries on side. The breakfast burrito had fluffy eggs and cheese and tots with a load of crispy bacon. So good! 8/30 Saturday 11am - I had ordered pick up to eat at home but my plans had changed so I went in and asked the host if I could dine in even though I ordered a pick up order. The man gave me a weird look and so I asked "...is that weird?" And he says "yeah a little but it's fine" to which I was kind of shocked. He was unwelcoming and made me feel weird. I was standing there for a minute waiting for him to show me a table or let me know a wait time or say something.. He told me to go get my order from the pick up counter very dismissively. If he's the manager he could've taken care of that for me but I got no customer service from this man who later claimed to be a manager. I left and told my husband how rude the whole exchange was. He went in soon after and asked another female manager to ask to dine in even though it was originally a pick up order and she was quickly about to show him a table. She said it wasn't a weird request. When my husband was explaining the situation to the female manager, the host guy came over and trying to explain it away - "oh I only said it was a LITTLE weird." That doesn't make it better, guy. This guy is also a manager y'all. I've been in the restaurant industry and CS for a long time. I'd never tell a customer at a restaurant that I worked at that they were weird (at all) for asking for something that could be accommodated so easily. My husband and I had breakfast here on a Saturday morning around 9am. We were seated right away and were able to choose any of the tables. Service was friendly and attentive, bringing us waters to start off. We came to Toast a few years ago and I remember enjoying my sisig burrito. This time, I wanted to try the pork belly banh mi. My husband ordered the grilled cheese and added bacon which also came with a side of tomato soup. We also decided to share tater tots. The wait wasn't too long for the food and came out accordingly. Right off the bat, we loved the tots. They were crunchy on the outside but super fluffy on the inside, the perfect tot. Concerning my banh mi, I liked all the components that accompanied the pork belly such as the pickled carrot, daikon, cucumber, cilantro, and ginger scallion. However, I felt that it was kind of overpowered due to the spicy aioli. I was under the impression it'd be like a simple spread but it felt very saucy, almost drenched. I had been really excited to eat here, but it was a big let down. The good: there is plenty of parking, the space is bright and welcoming, and staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The bad: drip coffee and my sisig burrito. Toast serves a variety of espresso drinks and a coffee-less ube latte ($6 base, +$3 if you want to add an espresso shot, ouch!), but the drip coffee is beyond forgettable and tastes like gas station coffee. At $3.50 it was cheap, but tasted cheap too. Seems like a small ask to have decent coffee. The sisig burrito was gross, 2-stars. It is not my personality to send food back, but that's what I wanted to do. A few pieces of chicharron were so tough I couldn't cut them with a knife and pushed them aside (seen in the background of the photo). The "pork belly" was indistinguishable from the chicharron and when I found one piece, it was a hollow crust of grossness (see photo). To add insult to injury, the tortilla was stale cardboard.the rest of my burrito was smooth guacamole, a creamy sauce, and a smidgeon of egg. If you've ever had sisig, this is not even remotely similar. If the menu had a thousand mediocre items, this could be understandable. As the menu has only a few items, they should be amazing or not on the menu. My wife's avocado toast was much better, albeit pricey. I'd love to give this place a second chance, but I'm not likely to go anytime soon. There are so many amazing breakfasts locally (Anelpaco's, Brunch, Breakfadt Republic, etc...) and I left totally unimpressed. read more

What can I say -- it caught my attention the first time, and it was so memorable it got me to come back for it again. :) Ube French Toast: Bread is very soft and moist. This spot has a lot of potential. The concept of Asian fused American food is always fun. We tried the breakfast sandwich, ube French toast, and a vanilla latte. The breakfast sandwich had good flavors, but I think it could be even better if the hash brown was left out, the bacon was crispier, the egg cooked a little creamier (it was a bit too wet), and maybe an addition like avocado and a sauce with a kick such as spicy chipotle mayo or something Asian inspired. The ube French toast was promising. The ube itself tasted great, but the bread did not quite have that classic French toast texture. If they did a more traditional French toast base and topped it with the ube cream, it would really shine. The vanilla latte was not my favorite. It had an odd texture with little chunks in it, which was distracting. On the bright side, the customer service was amazing. The man that greeted us (maybe the owner) was so sweet & attentive! Food photos brought me here and it did not disappoint. I went with the chilaquiles after changing my mind at least five times. So was it as good as it looks yes and no. Let me break it down...It's full of flavor, BUT I would've preferred all the chips drenched in sauce (yes that would have made them a bit soggy, but that's part of the charm of the dish), a little more beans please, and for this dish cilantro is decorative, but should also be chopped to enjoy eating with the dish.
