    Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich
    Sydney O.

Portions were huge and the food was pretty good. I was disappointed in the fries because from what I've seen from other reviews they looked like they were supposed to be more seasoned and crispy. We came at breakfast time on a Saturday so they were pretty busy. The service reflected that as well as it was hard to get a hold of someone to get any extra condiments and even once we did the lady never brought the ranch we asked for. I loved that they have Asian inspired flavors for their dishes and will definitely be back to try some other dishes. They charge an extra dollar for the juice for mimosas even though that isn't posted on the menu just a heads up.

Service was exceptional! The owners are super sweet and you can tell they are very passionate about having Toast Kitchen. They offer outside and inside seating. Ube French toast 5/5 the French toast was not overly sweet. This is a plus imo! I liked how you can taste everything from the bread, ube, and maple syrup. Each individual flavor didn't overpower one another and it was a perfect balance.

Such a cute brunch and cocktails for a chill Saturday! My close girlfriend and I met up for drinks and fries (a tradition of ours) and stumbled upon Toast. The staff were so friendly and sweet - I wish I got her name but she was the best and made us feel so welcomed. We got the pho fries and devoured it!!! Overall, not too pricey drinks and reasonably priced munchies

I had the best brunch at Toast Kitchen with my friends recently. We ordered several dishes to share so we could try different menu options. Ube French Toast (5/5) - This french toast was the star of our brunch. The thick broiche was delicious with the ube pastry cream and blueberry sauce. I loved that this dish wasn't too sweet but had amazing flavor. Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/5) - This fried chicken sandwich was so delicious. The fried chicken was huge on the brioche bun, and the coleslaw was paired perfectly. Chilaquiles (4/5) - The chilaquiles were pretty tasty with the shredded pork and sunny-side-up egg. It had a nice tangy verde sauce. Pho fries (4/5) - Interestingly seasoned shoestring fries with a mixture of spices, including five spice

If youre looking for a really good brunch place bit didnt make a reservation and dont want to wait ten years for a table, may i suggest: TOAST! Theyve got something for everyone and its all beautiful, unique, and delicious. They have a distinct filipino fusion vibe with a fully stocked bar and some coffee shop pastries/drinks. We got their mimosa flight and the flavors (yuzu, hibiscus, peach, and coconut) were all fantastic. And i havent seen them done before! My chilaquiles were absolutely delicious, not spicy but very flavorful, and i would LOVE to get those again. The egg was perfectly runny and the salsa fit the dish so well. Nice and crispy chips. Boy got the sisig burrito, and loved it. It was a good size and filled with pork and french fries with a good aioli. The korean chicken sandwich looked great, and the chicken and waffles were very interesting- i think they fry the chicken with something vaguely fish-tasting which was interesting.. but the chicken was very tender. We got a mango pie and it was just ok. Theyre beautiful, but save room for something else. There was no wait for our party of 4 on Saturday at 10am. Theres a big parking lot and indoor+outdoor seating. What a treat!!

Love this place!! Literally no negatives about it!!! - Lots of parking - Quick, attentive; and friendly service (they speak English and Tagalog!) - Vegetarian options - Good lattes! - Cute, trendy, minimalist decor inside - Also able to just order from the bakery and go if you don't want to sit down and eat - Amazing pies!!!

Wow, i usually am not a breakfast or brunch person but this place is truly amazing in both the food and the service. You cant go wrong with the smash burger and the chicken and waffles as we wanted a brunch vibe. Not only was our server amazing, but the manager was so kind and attentive and has definitely won us over !

What a pleasant surprise this place was. A girlfriend of mine invited me here for breakfast and there was no disappointment except for the latte. I used to work in the coffee industry, and I can tell that either they use cheap coffee, they have not cleaned their espresso machine or their beans have been out for too long and are possibly expired. It is also possible that the grind is off or maybe it's something else. The latte tasted as if the coffee was rancid or old. My açai bowl was out of this world and my friends. Breakfast burrito was also delicious. The staff were very welcoming and wonderful and the place was spotless. Definitely coming back for the Basque cheesecake because we didn't get a chance to try it because I had to run.

The service was top tier when I went! The vibes were very homey / cozy :) Also turns out I was the very first customer to try their coconut crusted French toast! It was super yummy and fragrant- honestly I don't even like coconut all that much but I sure did enjoy this. The workers personally asked for our opinion since we were the first to try it. Compliments to the chef indeed

    Asian Soba Chicken Salad

Loved our breakfast outside on the patio at Toast Kitchen & Bakery in Tustin! A warm & friendly restaurant, a hidden gem that was filled with happy customers when we arrived on Saturday morning. We were happy to get seated outside on a large patio area with umbrellas as we had our dog, there was a very nice outdoor seating area. Our server, Julio, was very helpful in mentioning some items to try like the Blue Pandan Latte drink which we enjoyed tasting. He also mentioned that the waffle with Chicken that could be prepared spicy or not spicy. We had a yummy Bacon Breakfast Burrito that was packed with flavor and had a spicy sauce to dip it in that was tasty. There were salad options on the specials for the day but we tried and enjoyed the Asian Soba Noodle salad from the main menu which was tasty, lightly spicy salad. We also had a delicious Matcha Latte, cold and a cheesecake. And Ube French Toast, yum! Highly recommend Toast Kitchen & Bakery in Tustin! Kudos to the management team & their friendly staff for a gem of a restaurant tucked away in the corner of the shopping center on Kensington Park Dr. in Tustin.

    Thai Chilaquiles with chicken
    Vivian N.

Thai chilaquiles (6/10) - this dish is normally made with pulled pork, but we were told we were able to sub it up for chicken, and it tasted pretty good still. My favorite part of the dish was definitely the pickled onions, they were the star of the show! Overall, I feel like the dish was somehow too sweet, yet felt like it needed some type of sauce. There were also a lot of beans which made most of the tortilla chips, too soggy and hard to eat. Ube latte (7/10) - it was very sweet and milk/creamy forward. So if you like that, it's a very good drink! I personally didn't taste as much ube as I was hoping for but still good.

If I were you guys and had that much time on your hands. This is your restaurant, after all. I was seated at 11:15 a.m. and placed my order at 11:20 a.m. After waiting 30 minutes, I started getting irritated. No one gave us an update on when our food would be ready until they noticed the frustrated look on my face. By the time they said our food was ready, it was already 12:10 p.m. They tried to make it up with a sliver of pie, but honestly, I was not impressed. The place was okay. The food itself was decent. The ube French toast was good, but nothing amazing. Overall, I would give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Top: Breakfast Sandwich Ube latte and Ube French Toast Bottom: Pork Belly Bowl
    Joycelyn C.

We came on Sunday around noon and waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. It was really nice inside also with a glass window for their baked goods as well! We ordered the Ube French toast, pork belly bowl, and breakfast sandwich. We were really surprised by the size of all the items and were really full by the end of the meal, but I was definitely impressed by how tender the pork belly was and just the flavor of the overall bowl ! I wished there was more sauce in the bowl. And the French toast was amazing (as an Ube lover) along with the blueberry sauce and blueberries (and I'm not a blueberry fan either). Would love to come back and try their other items!

Our server was very warm and helpful. For two of us we ordered one heavier dish and 3 on the lighter side and I actually left pretty stuffed. The menu is always evolving so I'd love to return, but for this visit we started with the bread and ham butter. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the ham butter imparted so much flavor. My favorite item that we ordered was the Galician Octopus. The thin slices were perfectly executed and the flavors underneath packed a punch. I would pass on the Gambas al Ajillo. While the shrimp were large, I found myself wishing that they had some char. The Summer Squash Salad was a perfect complement to the other dishes. I found the squash ribbons to be unique, the dressing to be light and fresh, and the inclusion of small bits of cheese to impart just the right amount of saltiness to the dish. Because we were celebrating my birthday, they gave us a complimentary slice of the basque cheesecake with a candle in it. Typically I'm not a big fan of this type of cheesecake, but theirs was wonderful and we ate the whole thing. I'm always appreciative when a restaurant does a little something extra for a special occasion. Extra props to our server because she noticed the gift that my friend brought for me and took it upon herself to inquire about the occasion and bring the dessert. It's those little touches that mean a lot.

The balance of lettuce, pears and apples with the ham.. it just hit the spot. This is something I'd get again. - Galician Octopus - Another winner of a dish! Perfectly prepared octopus and the sauce - it was a party in my mouth. A definite must try! - Braised Mushroom: I was on the fence about this one but my friend picked it. It was surprisingly good. You mix in the onsen egg and it just works. - Rack of Pork - this is another winner of a dish! I will say it tastes even better as a left over. The pork was perfectly seasoned and oh so yummy! - bosque cheesecake: nice and creamy cheesecake and a nice way to wrap up a meal. I'm not a drinker, but they had an assortment of wines and beers. My friend quite enjoyed the beer our waiter recommended. All in all a fun dining experience - one I'd definitely repeat. The menu looked incredibly tempting, and the vibe was giving Long Beach hipster... in the best way. I was immediately into it. Before we even get to the food, let's talk about the drinks because they completely stole the show. The Berry Bloom Shrub Soda was bright, refreshing, and unlike anything I'd had before. The Horchata Signature Kyoto Iced Latte was absolutely phenomenal. If you've never had Kyoto-style coffee, it's a slow-drip cold brew that's brewed one drop at a time over many hours instead of being steeped all at once. The result is an incredibly smooth, naturally sweet coffee with almost no bitterness. Combined with their house-made horchata, it was easily one of the best coffee drinks I've had. I later grabbed a Black Strap Molasses Latte to go, and that was just as impressive. For brunch we ordered the Steak & Eggs, French Omelette, and Hokkaido Milk Bread French Toast. Every plate that came out looked like it belonged in a magazine. The Steak & Eggs was ok. Since it's flank steak, a couple of bites had some inedible gristle, but the chimichurri was bright and flavorful, and I'm so glad I substituted the crispy house potatoes over fries... they were great and fried to perfection. The French Omelette was good. I was excited for the caviar, but the flavor was mostly overshadowed by the aged cheddar. The real surprise was the toast points. They were unbelievable!! Somehow like the buttery layers of a croissant transformed into perfectly toasted bread. I could've eaten an entire basket of those alone. The Hokkaido Milk Bread French Toast was delicious as well. It leaned a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but the milk bread gave it an incredibly soft, rich texture that made it hard to stop eating. The staff was exceptional. I can stress enough how grateful I was for friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful staff throughout our meal. My only disappointment came after I got home. I impulse-purchased a jar of their orange marmalade because I couldn't wait to spread it on a warm croissant. Unfortunately, the lid was covered in rust, and the jar wasn't sealed. I'm not familiar with the canning process or safety requirements, so I wasn't comfortable taking the risk and ended up throwing it away. That was a real letdown. Even with that hiccup, I'd come back to try some other items on the menu. The Kyoto-style lattes and Berry Bloom Shrub Soda alone are worth the trip, and next time I'll probably explore more of the menu. Spending over $100 for brunch set my expectations pretty high, but the drinks, atmosphere, and service definitely made this a memorable stop. If anything, I'd just skip the packaged marmalade next time and head straight for another Kyoto latte.

The only thing I would skip here is their coffee. Their menu sounds interesting and intriguing but they were just okay. For coffee, I would go to other coffee shops down the street. The vibe inside is a cute brunch spot and they have some patio seating as well. The patio seating is nice because the street in front is a one way street and isnt busy. There is limited street parking in front, but there is a parking garage around the corner.

Customer service begins with management, and unfortunately, my recent interaction with the manager,…read moreFrank, was disappointing. This restaurant used to be one of my favorites. I even drove from Westminster because I was looking forward to enjoying one of their sandwiches that I hadn't had in a long time. I also ordered an oatmeal raisin cookie, which unfortunately tasted unusually salty. I called to share my feedback about the cookie, and the response I received from Frank was dismissive and unhelpful. He stated that he tastes the cookies every morning and insisted there was nothing wrong with them. There was no offer to replace the item or further address my concern, and the conversation ended abruptly with a brief "have a good day." Overall, I was disappointed by the lack of attentiveness and willingness to engage with a customer concern over what was simply one menu item. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my perception of the restaurant and may affect my decision to return in the future and share the experience of horrible customer service!!
