The waitress said that only ordering water was not acceptable although people at our table ordered alcoholic drinks. I have never been to any bar or restaurant that tries to pressure their customers into drinking. When I told her no that I was driving she insisted I had to order a mocktail because they were like other bars/restaurants were you have to order. I have never been to a place that has pressured one person in a group to order if others had already done so.
