We decided we needed a break between Xmas and New year and we knew any where on the coast would be busy and booked up and we decided to inland & so we discovered Langford House and booked 4 nights. Our room was large with a lovely bathroom but what I really loved about the stay was the house, the gardens, the kitchen and what a lovely welcoming hosts Spencer and Corrie were with out being intrusive. Tocumwal is a great little town close to Rutherglen wineries with the Murray winding it's way through the Town. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a weekend away from Melbourne or Victoria or the Riverina.

The property is right near Cactus Country which is a destination in of itself. Rooms are clean and have new furniture and appliances. Quiet, spacious and with comfortable beds. Nicely positioned resort. Good location. Nicely positioned on the lake. The two storey units are…read morecomfortable and have a number of good and bad points. Good points first. Bedrooms and bathrooms are a nice size. Living area is fine. Nice sized family area and bedrooms. Bad points second. The large downstairs bathroom is at the expense of the kitchen which is very tight and cramped. There is also no oven. You'll have to be an innovative cook to do much here. Most will be a whiz with a frypan or microwave. The spa at the resort is superb. So large you can keep away from others. There's no free wifi which is utterly absurd in this day and age. I was told cheerily that there's free wifi at the ski club next door. Looks like management has done a deal with the ski club and they really won't you to go over there and spend money including on the dreaded pokies. Not for me. I liked the resort but it has a slightly down at heel decaying air, eg broken locks etc. I'd happily stay here again but only if I did what I did this time and spent most of my time using this as a base only.

Staff are friendly and you are next door to the ski club offering the usual entertainment there. Right on the edge of the lake so you can do as much or as little as you want!
