When I first called to get info on toddler town Evanston Angelo picked up and he was so informative and took the time to explain list of things I did not know. Believe me as a single father of two I didn't know much! Ever since my children started attending they are so eager to go back and excited about their day in daycare with all these exciting stores and activities they did throughout the day. Brought my child there for a one week orientation. My child did not make it past the first day. I was pretty much told that the staff could not tend to my child's needs, and that he needed to maybe try a private daycare where there is less children and he can have more personalized attention because he was overstimulated by being in the presence of 19 other children. This information was coming from what I assumed to be the head Director an older Caucasian male. Miss Norma the assistant Director was nothing but sweet in assisting me up to the point of getting to the one week orientation. I'm not writing this as a way of bashing toddler town Evanton. But how can you automatically dismiss a child for not adapting on the first day to daycare when they've never been in a daycare and they are not in a home with other children. The center was gauging my child's behavior from the beginning to the end, insinuating he wasn't making any progress throughout the day by adapting to being around other children and following suit with the different activities that they were doing and that he had to be redirected. This is absolutely not the center for my child, I feel like they want "ready-made" children only at the center. The talk from the Director came across as that they did not want to put forth any effort or work to developing my child. After moving my kids across the country, I knew they needed to be somewhere that would make them feel loved while also still maintaining high academic standards. Toddler town has been just that for our family. My kids love it and always come home telling me about the new things they have learned. The staff is friendly and patient and they all truly care for the kids. I love their focus on nutrition and learning healthy habits. Julissa and Maritza were absolutely phenomenal in helping my son with his transition into the school; they created such a warm and welcoming environment for him. My daughter's teacher, Ms. Carina is spectacular with the kids. When a family member of ours had major surgery she sent my daughter home with a get well card that all the kids had signed. We were recommended to enroll our son into daycare due to his speech delay. It's been a little over the year and he is now naming and saying words. Not only that but he has learned to do many things for himself. We were very skeptical about enrolling him into the daycare because he was not saying no words at all. We were terrified just for the fact that he was not able to express his wants and needs, but his teachers had made this completely the opposite. He loves his teachers Ms Norma and Ms Vanessa! Seeing my son run to them in the morning makes me very comfortable and happy with the decision that we made. We are very proud of what he has accomplished in his little journey. We are definitely happy and would recommend anyone to Toddler Town. They have an awesome school structure routine where students are able to experience transitions throughout the day. Their daily routine is acclimated to prepare them into any educational setting in the future. We love the way that they encourage parents to be involved with their learning experiences, it allows us to work with them at home. I also love how engaged they are with their app and are constantly sharing pictures of their daily activities. My daughter had already been to 2 other centers before we found Toddler Town when she was 2 yo and I'm so glad we did find them! She loves going to "school" now and I'm not nervous leaving her. This is a great crew all the way around. She is currently with Mrs. Maritza in the Preschool for All class and we are very happy! Covid-19 threw us all for a loop but the school has been a great partner throughout it all. My name is Michael Collins and I am an Early Childhood Education Recruiter for the City Colleges of Chicago and I have had the pleasure of meeting with Mrs. Norma Maldonado, the Director. I have visited her childcare center twice and I have met some of her staff from Ms. Jazmin, to Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Rebecca and everyone was courteous and were very knowledgeable about what they do and more importantly how Mrs. Norma connects with her teachers and how her teachers connects with the students. If I had children that age, I would consider enrolling them at Toddler Town - Evanston; especially knowing the staff is embarking on entering and completing their AAS degree in Early Childhood Education. Toddler Town Daycare has been a welcoming, safe and nurturing school experience for my four year old daughter. Every day she is able to explore and engage in a specialized curriculum that her incredible teacher, Ms. Carina, provides. There are not enough words to express how wonderful Ms. Carina is. She provides creative/fun lessons and is one of the most caring, sincere and intelligent individuals I have come across when looking for schools for my daughter. I had the worst experienced ever with this daycare center my advice to you RUNNN don't bring your child there.my 3 year old complained that the teacher push and slap her after going into the wrong classroom, the next day I went back and told the teacher what my daughter told me and she straight out deny it and told me that my daughter had made it ,up a few hours later the coordinator called me and told me that it's best if I find another facility for my child all because I told them what my daughter had told me the teachers and the coordinator there are very rude and disrespectful i should've done more research before going there because there was a lot of red flags my daughter always cry and hide behind me whenever I drop her off and she saw the teacher and always told me that the teacher is mean the coordinator ask me why I believe a 3 year old my daughter is not stupid she can talk she knows when someone is doing something to her. Oh that same day when I pick up my child the coordinator gonna say she did some investigation and found out that it was another child that push and slap my daughter i told her my daughter told me it was the teacher a another think don't ever trust the coordinator she'll tell you one thing and and change her mouth so fast she'll even lost all your paper work that you submitted I wish I could give them a O star read more

Angelo (the owner) and the teachers have been phenomenal! My son Elijah has gone there from 2 years old until 5 year old graduate. I could not have asked for a better day care.He has learned so much there they are very very very hands on which is important to me. The teachers like to teach different subjects daily & my son would tell me what he learned every single day with such excitement! It takes a village to raise a child but with the support of Toddler Town they made it so much easier for me as a single mom teaching does not stop at school it proceeds in the home as well...I am very appreciative of the journey my son has had at this school. If you are looking for a warm loving preschool and daycare Toddler Town is it. My son attends the location in Evanston. He had been in in home environments since he was 5 months old and Toddler Town is my first center and I'm so happy I found it. I was so nervous to send him because I've heard horror stories about places. They eased my fears. They really work hard to ensure kids are learning and thriving. My son is learning so many things and he has opened up to lots of new ideas and food ( I have a picky eater). The Administrator Angelo is awesome he is so personal and inviting. Ms. Norma is professional and works hard to answer questions and assist. His teachers Ms. Maritza and Ms. Julissa are beautiful souls. They care so so much my son and all the children. This isn't the place and the people that 'babysit' your kid while you're at work; this is the family that provides a home for your precious baby while you're at work. 5 stars are not enough of a rating for Toddler Town. The teachers are wonderful and really care about your children and their education. The director, Angelo, runs this place magnificently. There is constant, effective and insightful updates of what kids are learning about and what is going on in each classroom and the community. This staff really goes above and beyond. In the winter of 2014, when we had 40 below degree weather, they kept their doors open! Regardless of that harsh weather, the staff bundled up and showed up to open the doors right at 7am. I remember one morning, I dropped my daughter off in extremely cold weather, the type of cold weather days that most of Chicago businesses did not open their doors, I said 'thank you for opening' to the teacher (I had to go to work!) and she said "yeah, we asked Angelo if we were going to close because of the cold weather and he said 'No, we're going to open. Parents need to get to work so we need to open our doors'. As a single mom, that meant the world to me! Toddler Town is committed to helping children obtain a strong foundation and maximum growth through the emotional, physical, social and cognitive areas. The environments in the classrooms are age appropriate and children are nurtured and encouraged to play learn and explore. Each classroom is divided and private so there are no distractions from the class next door. My daughter has been here since she was 2 and her intelligence far exceeds that of my nephew a year older than her who has a stay-at-home mom so never needed to be in daycare.
