I would not recommend this company based on my experience. In 1990, this company installed an irrigation system at my home. Their own irrigation drawing from that time shows the main line entirely on my property. However, it was later discovered that the main line had actually been installed approximately four feet onto the neighboring lot. This improper placement caused repeated damage over the years whenever work occurred next door. In 2025, the company charged me $2300 to relocate the line back onto my property -- effectively billing me to correct their original installation error. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I disputed the charge, the company pursued legal action rather than acknowledging the mistake.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The court ruled on statute-of-limitations grounds due to the age of the installation, not on whether the original work was performed correctly. Based on this experience, I recommend homeowners be very cautious and independently verify property boundaries and installation locations. read more

Todd's did an outstanding job with our backyard hardscaping project. They installed a flagstone patio and a flagstone path for us on a small lot in Ann Arbor. We had contacted several landscapers but Todd's stood out because they were very responsive and their landscape designer Patrick did a fantastic job outlining the project. Patrick was able to resolve all of our concerns in a follow-up phone call, which convinced us to go with Todd's even though their quote was higher than others. Todd's scheduled us for five weeks out but unexpectedly was able to start the project three weeks early. Patrick, site supervisor Kevin, and foreman Miguel walked us through every single detail of the project immediately before they started, which avoided costly misunderstandings. Miguel and his crew worked carefully and thoughtfully throughout the entire project. I liked that they showed up with the right tools for the job and clearly knew what they were doing. Miguel did a fantastic job leading the crew, who were very pleasant and kept the worksite clean at all times. Patrick and Kevin kept me updated on the progress and were very responsive when I had a concern about an aspect of the project. The project was completed very efficiently and without interruptions. My husband and I had two projects completed by Todd's Services. The first project was landscaping in the front that was installed last fall. Todd's fixed one issue in early spring and then when the landscaping filled with weeds, they didn't come to fix it as promised in the fall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made numerous calls and was treated rudely by several people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had to hire another company to fix the mess that was left for us. On the waterfront project, the crew dumped plant waste and materials on another part of our waterfront. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I let a "quality control" person know, no one came or called.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had to replace the damaged plants myself and haul away bags on yard waste myself. For the money that we paid for these projects, we should have better service and results. We put a 50% deposit down, and waited to pay the balance as we thought we were going to get the problems resolved. Instead, they sent us to small claims court for the full amount of the contract and disregarded the deposit. We never had the waterfront repaired. Avoid this company! read more

Great job installing a French drain. Crew of three led by James - focused, driven, lots of equipment to expedite the job. No messing around - these guys got the work done quickly and with quality! A gravel path in the landscape had to be pulled apart to put the drain underneath - they took great care to put it back together well and supplemented with more gravel - looks like new! We recently built a new house on a vacant 2.25-acre parcel of land. Shortly after moving in, we hired a landscape architect to prepare a landscape plan/design and drawing for us, including a detailed list of all plants and materials. Our plan was to submit that landscape plan to several high-quality and experienced landscaping companies so we could get apples-to-apples and comparable bids. The scope of this project was huge. Our house sits on a 2.25 acre piece of land in Farmington Hills. Much of the property was just open land area filled with super-tall weeds. There were also many areas of densely-packed and overgrown vegetation and undergrowth, which were a mixture of thick climbing vines, thorny shrubs and many dead or dying trees. Moreover, the unevenness of the ground required lots of machine grading and the installation of hundreds of yards of soil. The project necessitated a huge amount of "cleanup" before the true landscaping could even start. In addition to the plantings, we also needed a patio, outdoor kitchen and firepit installed. We also needed two irrigation systems installed (one for city water and a separate one for the irrigation well) and landscape lighting. All were part of the project and bidding process. We contacted five companies seeking a bid to implement our landscape design plan. We obtained price quotes from all of them, and all were in the same rough ballpark, which was about $250,000. That is an outrageous number, but it was consistent among the different competitors, and this was, after all, a huge project. Todd's Services was the most responsive company that we contacted. They set up a meeting within a day of our initial contact. Todd (not "the" Todd of Todd's Services, but an awesome Todd nonetheless) met me at the house, and we walked through the project. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Not only that, he mentioned that he had some ideas that could save money by making small tweaks to our existing landscape design. He assured me that, based on his experience, those modifications would result in large costs savings without impacting the final result. It was obvious to me that Todd and his company knew exactly what they were doing and had the resources to do such a large project. After carefully reviewing all of the bids we received and meeting on-site with each company, we decided to go with Todd's Services. That was the best decision we ever made! It was an easy decision because Todd's Services was the most responsive company, has awesome communication and had some excellent ideas for improving the landscape design in way that would save us money. Todd's Service's was able to cut nearly $35,000 off the cost of the project without compromising quality. Not only that, they had the resources and equipment needed for the project. Everyone (without exception) who works at Todd's Services is extremely professional, polite, and accommodating. The crew was simply amazing--meticulous, clean, prompt, accurate, professional, and detailed. A special shout out to CHRIS and JOEY who busted their butts on the project. And another shout out to KEVIN who installed the outdoor grill and fire pit and also helped design and implement the vast irrigation system for the entire 2+ acre area. Kevin also designed and installed the landscape lighting system, which literally has people stopping their cars while driving by to admire it. Given the breadth of the project, it took nearly two months of hard work by Todd's Services to transform our property from a muddy, overgrown field into a beautiful home with a gorgeous yard. Todd's Services always had a crew of at least four people on site working, and many days had about ten people on the project. They installed hundreds of plants and full-sized trees (there were so many plants, in fact, that at least two semi-trucks made deliveries). It was a constant buzz of hardworking people working nonstop on the project. I was impressed how the crews always arrived on time each day and how they left the job site clean and tidy every evening when they left. The end result is incredible. In fact, the team is so customer-focused that they even ran to the rescue of my daughter who got stuck in the mud of the yard walking home from school. We HIGHLY recommend this company!! The customer service is impeccable. From the first visit all the way up to every interaction, you can tell these people care and take pride in their work. 5 stars well deserved!!!
