Great spot to go to for authentic Mexican food. Very delicious! & the service was nice!

I saw this place and prior Dia De Los Muertos decor (as well as food reviews) and really wanted to give this place a try as it has been on my "favorites/saved" list for quite some time. I got that chance! I came for brunch with a friend. It is located on a busy street where parking is scarce and there is no parking lot for this restaurant. Look down the side-streets! We were greeted immediately and told to sit wherever. We chose the inside enclosed area near (we didn't know at the time) restroom. The menu, while simple was hard to choose between lunch or breakfast. As we came during the weekday, it was not too busy as the lunch rush had not started until we were about to leave. The waitress was attentive and checked on us frequently. Our food was delicious and beautifully presented. The margarita was just the right amount of liquor and strawberry. I would definitely come back or check out their other location. As it wasn't quite Dia De Los Muertos, no ofrenda, although the place did have decor. Overall, a great experience.

The food was delicious! We had the tacos de papa that would crispy and fresh. The green salsa was spicy and flavorful. The green pozole was also very flavorful. Would reorder everything we got. The service was fast and friendly. The vibe was laid back. Will definitely be back soon!

Excellent authentic Mexican food! The girl who waited on us was very attentive. The ambiance is traditional casual eatery.

The food looked like it came out out of a magazine. It also had enough seasoning to make it flavorful. However, the chicken was a little dry. Other than that, the food was delicious.

We saw a reel that recommended this place on IG so we had to come and see for our selves if it the food was as good as it looked, well they did not disappoint! Walking in the door we were promptly greeted and seated. It wasn't quite dinner time yet, so it wasnt very busy, but as we heard one of the servers ask people around the restaurant "do you need more tortillas?" We knew we were right at home! One of the items that were mentioned as being very good was the pozole verde, oh my gosh! It was amazing! I asked for the puerco one, the meat was so tender, came with a huge fix of toppings like cebolla, cilantro, rabanos, limon, chicharron, una flauta de pollo and a tostada. Oh my! It was heaven! My teen #1 yelper ordered the tamales, they only sell them on saturdays and Sunday's, being that we went on a Saturday we were in luck! It was the pollo con mole kind wrapped in banana leaf. These were so much more thin than what we are used to, BUT, so good! The mass was soft and moist and the mole a chef's kiss! My teen #2 yelper ordered The tacos de pescado were also very delicious, came with a side of rice and beans, very good portions that fill you up just right! We did order horchata as drinks and you get the biggest cups ever! I loved it so much! Their horchata is the perfect blend of creamy and sweet, but not overly done. The service is great! The two young ladies who helped us out were so kind and patient with my pocho sons. Came around to check on us at the right time. The restaurant has such a cozy vibe, decorated with some traditional Mexican items, to include zarape style table cloths. The dishes some were very traditional as well and had Mexican music at just the right volume. Parking is a little hard to find, we did have to park a good 2 blocks away but no biggie since the weather was perfect and exercise is good for everyone! Loved this place so much, the flavor is very authentic and totally recommend it to anyone wanting to eat some REAL Mexican food, this hit the spot!

I lucked out and found a parking spot across the street.  There is only street parking here.  Todo Pa La Cruda was ready for Dia de Los Muertos.  I ordered tacos. Birrea taco had lost of tender and juicy beef.  Loved the flavor.  Tortillas had a night light flavor. Ribeye taco had lots of tender and juicy ribeye.  Flavor was amazing.  I loved the seasoning/marinade on the ribeye. This is one of the best steak tacos I've had. Asada taco was mostly tender and juicy.  The meat had some chewy cartilage and was not as tender as the ribeye.  Seasoning was salt and pepper based and I enjoyed the flavor. Mahi mahi taco featured a tender mahi mahi filet which was nicely seasoned.  Great tasting mahi mahi. Adobada taco featured tender and juicy pork.  Nice bit of char on the edges.  Loved the bold flavor which did not feature burn your mouth flavors. I enjoyed all the tacos I tried. My favorite was the ribeye taco with the high quality ribeye and delicious flavors while the adobada taco was a close second.  Tacos were all street sized and 3 of them made for a big lunch.  Service was friendly and speedy.  Complimentary chips were crunchy and I liked the flavor.

I was at an artist pop up a couple blocks away and got hungry. My Mom, Tia, and I were walking and stumbled upon this place. I had been here before, but it was a different restaurant at the time. We were greeted and served some salsa and chips on the house. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I loved the decor on the inside where they had loteria cards adorning the walls. I ordered the pozole verde which was phenomenal! It had so much flavor and came with all the essential toppings. It was hands down the best pozole I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant! My Mom and Tia both got Taquitos which were also delicious. We ended the meal with churros! The orange salsa was tasty and had a nice smoky flavor. I will be coming back to try other dishes. If you like authentic Mexican food, this is the spot for you!

Amazing little place! Food is delicious & the folks are super friendly. Definitely a place you want to try if you love authentic Mexican food! We'll be back.

Food here is delicious, and the Señora that works the order counts is the nicest. Love the service here, love the micheladas (although should serve them without ice) and love the chile rellenos.

My parents are from the same region the owner is from and they loved it! Normally we don't go to Mexican restaurants because it's never done quite right but this place exceeded that! We got a few things - pescado frito, pozole blanco, menudo, camarón cucarachas, and carne asada burrito. Everything was delicious! The menudo tasted like my moms and the camarones had a fun crunch and filled with lots go flavor. We went in for lunch time and it wasn't too crowded. The service was overall quick. Chips and salsa were served at the beginning. Street parking only. The waitresses weren't talkative / friendly but they prompt with any requests.

We got there and she told us to wait while our table is being set up. They ended up taking us to the upstairs room. They had to split the 2 tables to have a seat for us. They wanted us to sit at the table that is in close proximity of the walkway. I said I did not want to sit there because I did not want to have people walk by me the entire time. They had to push the table away from the second one and we had to be closer to the entrance. I said will sit at the second table since it's not near the entrance. I had to repeat this 3 times. The fish was grilled to tender, paired with smooth avocado puree and fresh salsa--a rich and satisfying bite. But! The biggest surprise is the tortilla--it was on the softer side, yet surprisingly chewy. Smoked Fish Taco: A classic and San Diego signature dish. The fish was shredded into small pieces, giving it a smoky flavor and a slightly dry texture. The taste was nice, but you don't really feel the meat in bites, so it was slightly less impressive. Fish Ceviche: Marinated in lemon juice, the proteins denatured, making the fish appear white and fully cooked, but it still had a firm, raw texture. Completely different from other raw fish ceviche I've had. But! Incredibly tangy!!! The first bite was so tangy it was almost painful; it was only after being served as tapas with tostadas that I gradually got used to it. Lemon juice, tomato, and onion--it was easy to imagine the refreshing taste, while the rich aroma of avocado nicely balanced the harshness. Shrimp Ceviche: The shrimp appeared to be cooked; they weren't large but were quite fresh, with firm and tender meat. See above for other details. The restaurant is located in a small food court, with very limited parking and seating. It may be inconvenient for groups of four or more to dine in.

California Burritos is very apt for their name, my bf rates it a 10/10. As a California Burrito connoisseur, he liked the addition of sour cream in it and said the flavors were delicious. He topped it with their green salsa for a little bit of a freshness to cut through the richness and fattiness of the meat and fries in the burrito. He didn't care for the fish taco that much and rated it a 4/10 but said the restaurant overall was a 10/10, as he thought there was too much lettuce and tomato throwing off the ratio of the taco.
