This is a small safe town that is worthy of your visit. The people are friendly, the food is great, and the town is filled with many artists and art galleries. The town is home to the Hotel California which may or may not be the same one referenced in the Eagles song? Apparently, this place existed way before the Eagles song. But they claim that it's not the one in the song? Anyhow, there are many nearby beach towns that are also nice. Apparently, there are many well off folks that visit because most shops don't have any printed price labeling on their selling items. Which is a minor thing that I was not fond of because everything was a negotiation. Having visited many parts of Mexico I am fairly aware of the value of many of the selling items. Therefore, I knew that my beginning negotiating price was going to start on the high end when I catch the seller scanning my designer sunglasses, shoes, and clothes?!? It's okay, because I quickly made them aware of the value and origins of the products they were trying to get me to buy.
