We came here a Sunday and saw the brunch-menu outside and decided to go in and see what else they could offer. The place is a really cute hipster/retro joint with funny details and furnitures. You just have to love the interior design! However, the menu was very slim. They could only offer the brunch buffé, that by the look of it, was finished, as plates were empty and food was a big mess. We refrained from this a went for their Tarte Flambée (a pizza-like) dish. We were told that they don't sell any light product, which surprised all of us but we decided that it was just a "hipster-kinda-weird-go-ecological-thang" As there were the 3 of us visiting "Luxan"this day we had one Flambée each. One with mussels and tomato, one with bacon and mushrooms and the third with spinach and olives. OMG-they were soooo good!!!! Especially the one with bacon and mushrooms. The birds do not take long or need much of an invite to swoop down and have a free meal, so watch your head. There was a friendly atmosphere among the patrons of this eatery which would encourage me come back again.

Some time ago they went from being that baby brother of "PM och vänner" who served proper barista coffe, pizzas and cute cakes to a place who offers a more broad menu and sells bread who they bake themselves. A new world of levain, sourdough etc has opened up for the small but yet curious town Växjö. I tried their ice coffe, which they to my relief don't try and call frappé (cause a frappé is not based on milk). The ice coffe was good and the sour dough bread I bought was extremely good! -a must for breakfast tomorrow. Lovely ambiance not to be missed when here!

My parents split one little jug of coffee which came with milk and sugar on the side. Their kringlor or traditional ring - shaped baked item were very flavorful. Order and pay in the front and then sit inside and have your choices delivered by the staff. Very relaxing and smart system! Day-old bags of buns available for reasonable prices.

During the entite dinner we had excellent service by our waitress. We skipped the starter and had the pike perch and rib eye for main. The pike perch was nice and had delicious sides to it. The rib was also very good. For dessert we had the crème orange and apple compote. The crème orange turned out to be a magnificent crème brulée! My friend ordered dessert wine and a truffle and it was obvious that the waitress didn't have a clue what that was and poured 1,5 dl in a brandy glass! All these dishes, plus wine and beer, 1000 skr, not a bad deal at all!!!
