Another amazing visit! Decided to try something completely new and was not disappointed! Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I couldn't get enough of the army stew! The server was so sweet and attentive. There was music playing and light chatter all around. Couldn't recommend this place enough and now will recommend their army stew!

The quality of this restaurant is always great in my opinion. Each dish has so much flavor and fills you right up. The beef bulgogi is definitely my favorite and with the combo option with the tofu soup, they pair very well together to give you a very flavorful, hearty meal. The banchan (not pictured) is fantastic and compliments every dish very well! They sell decent sized containers of banchan as well and the kimchi is my favorite to purchase. Service is usually pretty quick and it feels like a nice mom and pop korean restaurant with a great atmosphere to come with friends or family to enjoy delicious food.

Food was good. Parking is easy. Pretty fast service. Good spot for your Korean fix Food/Drink- 4 stars Had the lunch bulgogi rice special. It was pretty good. Basically the equivalent to something you can get from the Korean market, which currently isn't available in Bakersfield. Service- 5 stars Food came out quickly and service was great throughout. Did have to fetch the waiter at times Bottom Line Pretty easy fast casual Korean diner. Easy spot, especially for work lunches

Came to Bakersfield for a work trip and wanted something tasty. The food here was so delicious! I ordered the galbi soon tofu combo and seafood pancake. Both were so so good! The seafood pancake was perfectly light and airy + they were generous with the seafood. The galbi was great but the tofu soup was amazing. It seems like the meat in your tofu soup is based on your entree (I ordered a beef dish so there was beef in my soup, my coworker ordered a seafood dish and got seafood in her soup). Warmed me right up on a cold night. Definitely a gem in the Bakersfield area. The next time I'm on my way to LA, I'll go out of my way to eat here again!!

This place is right behind citi bank on California. It was easy to find. We came in right when they opened at 11 and got seated. We all ordered different items and shared. We go tofu and mushroom plate, the fish Jeun, chicken bulgogi, japche and a stir fry veggie plate. Everything was pretty good. The tofu and mushroom plate was not what I expected it to be so I probably wouldn't order that again. The tofu was cold with a salad type dressing on top. It was strange. The mushrooms were very good though. I loved the japche, it was my favorite of all the things I tried. Since we came in right when they opened the place was pretty quiet. The service was great, the staff are very sweet.

We had the option of joining family at Firestone, but Firestone is no different than Doghouse Grill back home, so that was a hard pass. When out of town, if I can help it, I'm eating someplace new. I suggested Coconut Joe's, which was across the street, but after looking at the menu, my wife asked, "what do you want to eat here?" She was right, there wasn't anything there that interested me, it was more the good reviews that won me over. Actually, the menu looked pretty basic. That was the door I needed though. We've never went to a Korean restaurant before, but the options were right up our alley. When asked what I would order at Tofu House, I simply said, "bulgogi something." She knows I love bulgogi, and that was enough for her. We pulled in and got seated in the far corner. After awhile, it became apparent to my wife and the waitress that it was warmer in our area than the rest of the restaurant. They moved us to the middle section away from the windows, directly in the path of the cooler, and the air was great! We would need it, especially with the warm food we had coming. True to my word, I got the Beef Bulgogi, my wannabe Japanese daughter got the ramen, my son got the udon, my son got the "sushi," gimbap, and my wife got the hot stone bibimbap bulgogi. Everything was awesome! Even my very picky youngest son enjoyed his food. We all had doubts about his selection, but he was a champ about it. We were all curious about the kimchi, which came on the side along with other things like fish cakes, pickled celery, and other stuff I don't remember.I shamelessly patted myself on the back as everyone enjoyed their meals. I don't understand why my wife cringes when I hop on Yelp. They've always come through for me and she's always enjoyed it. You will too

Stopped by for lunch on way back from Bishop to Bay Area. I got the galbi soondofu combo with upgrade for brown rice, which really hit the spot. Portion sizes were moderate (enough to get me full) and the banchan was pretty good (I particularly enjoyed the kimchi). The galbi had good flavor and was nice and moist. The soft tofu soup was a good flavor combination with the galbi -- it was nice to alternate bites of meat, rice with banchan, and soup. Service was pretty quick.

I enjoy coming. The have delicious bangchan, their kimchi is just so flavorful and delicious. I always look forward to having any cucumber kimchi. They also sell their kimchi in bulk and it is just the best thing ever. Food wise, you can't go wrong with bulgogi kimbap & their kimchi pancake. Overall, service is fast and a pretty decent Korean restaurant.

This place is great. It's a small quiet place with very welcoming employees. They have a huge selection of dishes available and they are more than happy to recommend their most popular dishes. We knew we wanted to try some type of tofu aside from our Korean bbq dishes. We went with the orange tofu, which is tofu with their orange sauce. The orange sauce is really tasteful, however, the dish was very underwhelming. Very bland so I wouldn't really recommend it. But the chicken and beef bulgogi we ordered were both absolutely delicious. I would recommend this place if you want Korean bbq but don't want to do the cooking. The food is absolutely delicious, the environment is chill and welcoming and the staff is super friendly and very attentive.

Stopped here for lunch while passing through Bakersfield. I had grilled kalbi and my husband had a combination lunch of grilled mackerel and tofu soup. The kalbi lunch was good. The meat was flavorful but it was a little too sweet for my taste. My husband enjoyed his food. The side dishes were very good. Good service.

I come here quite often, maybe at least once a week. The food is so healthy and fresh and delicious. Korean food is very good for gut health, and I feel full and satisfied after eating a meal from here. I have tried many items on the menu, but some of my usuals are the mushroom or veggie and tofu lunch plate and the kimchi stew. This restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. The side dishes, or banchan, are made in house and you can even purchase containers on the banchan to take home. I will continue to come here once a week for the best comfort meals.

Spicy chicken bibimbap. Along side banchans. Sooo good!

Food and service was fantastic! My partner and I stopped here for dinner on our way to LA and was so happy to be served with such welcoming, attentive, cheery service. I find it's rare these days. We got the soon tofu combo with bulgogi and spicy chicken bibimbap. Both were so delicious! Bulgogi wasn't too sweet. Bibimbap was fresh and flavorful.

Our visit was at the end of the day, so some of the meats were sold out. I was sad, but adjusted quickly and ordered a double meat plate with brisket and deep pit. The worker who greeted us and took my order was so knowledgeable about their menu and let me know what's up. The ambiance is lovely, the patio especially. On a nice day or evening it's just perfect. My meat plate was so bomb, you guys. The brisket was exactly what my soul needed. Their BBQ sauces are a dream come true. My deep pit was also so so good. I ate until I was on the brink of meat sweats and I have absolutely no regrets. I will be back here. Like, today. So good. Yelp never steers me wrong.

I guess because it's a sports bar restaurant, and it's in Bakersfield. I got the shock of my life. It turned out, this was the best barbecue food I ever had. Not only that, but it's very affordable.
