It had such an amazing vibe with it's rustic interior, soft candlelight and this amazing soundtrack of 40s and 50s jazz. I would pay handsomely to buy that soundtrack. Sadly the business was sold a few years back and as often happens the owners decided to make changes to an iconic establishment with a loyal clientele. The beautiful music has been replaced with loud disco and rock music and the once great food is not as good as it once was. To their credit they have kept the same menu. A bad meal or two can be forgiven as there can be problems with kitchen staff but the way they destroyed the ambiance, which was the cornerstone of the establishment, can not. I could hardly finish my meal with that music blasting. Back in the day it was difficult to get a reservation but now you can just walk in and get a table. It's easy to see why. Another great business ruined by new owners making "improvements ". Unhappily, I will not be returning.
